"What are you doing? Just cut out the stairs and it's a flat bar" LOL
Knob buster really a man of the skating culture
Let's give a quick shout out to the Knob Buster! 👏👏👏
I used to be delusional about what I would maybe try on a skateboard, but I never would even think about trying that😂
Seeing it in person the rail looks even more gnarly. Thing is like chest high. Its just a massive rail. Anything done on it is amazing.
Bro no bullshit, I have never been able to front feeble well, when I do it its the end of a flat bar all sketch, I'd NEVER be able to do that, also my pinch game is very weak l, I dont get how people pinch front crook and front feebs, shout out to them tho it looks sick
@@starlitshadows agreed, I'd be skate to back boardslide that thing
Geoff Rowley tried ollieing it twice in the Soty part
@@infinidominion back in a time where if you even attempted to skate this type of shit you’d be considered a certified psycho among psychos.
Jamie foy is the goat man . The guy is fearless
Him and dane burman are fucking insane
The best
how jamie sees the world its just a flatbar FEARLESS !
Thankful for Jamie Foy. He's such a cool humble guy and will go down in history as one that changed the game to such an extreme degree
Love this how he is explaining it properly thank you. I'm going to try a 20 stairs rail now 😂
The one dislike is actually the rail after Jamie Foy front feebled it
The confidence to even try this is insane
knob buster needs some cash flow headin his way for this work!
When i grind round rails, i like getting on the middle of the truck at first too, and then my front foot pulls back, while my back foot pushes forward, and i lock in beautifully.
Jamie would be considered a triple OG of this skate game even if he never did another trick, man has got so many bangers under his belt, he defiantly blessed by the skate gods!
Definitely
hes already the OG bc of his legendary bail as a kid that went viral and made it on ridiculousness loll
Why not a quadruple OG tho ?
Props to Pat Duffy for opening the gates of huge rail for skaters like Jamie!
OG! I remember when I first seen him grind a rail.
You think he need to think in Pat Duffy before skating the rails?
The mathematics it takes to pull this off
Double heel 50-50’s are 100x safer and easier than the cross lock. I totally agree with Jamie on this. Where I disagree, is that a 21 stair handrail is basically a flatbar lmao. What a legend
Why is it safer?
@@Dontbustthecrust I guess it's just personal feel. I feel way safer and more locked in going double heel. I feel much more centered, over top, and in control. Cross lock tend to move around a bit, or slip out. Of course, everything in skateboarding is personal opinion.
I feel safer cross lock fs and bs but it’s person preference
just to be clear, I live 3 minutes away from this spot in Walnut, Ca. Its no fucking joke.
Same lol
"bullshit that ain't no flat bar" 😂
4:38 this is the knowledge I was missing for 50-50s. You still won’t see me doing them though . Rather front feeble than front 50-50 any rail
thats crazy haha i cant even front feeble a flatbar, but can 5050 kinked rails
I love this channel and I love Jamie.
"It's just a flat bar! ...that goes down." lmao
Shid I’ll stick to my manuals lmfao dude is a g!
no matter how many times he broke it down/did a good job of it my conclusion is still “this mf crazy”🤣
Bullshit! That ain’t no flat bar. 🤣
Cement is cement… Idk if it’s this drink, but this segment has some hilarious nuggets
So stoked to see anyone skate that spot again. Thought Walnut might have been skate stopped. Maybe that will get Joslin to tre flip it haha
It’s crazy how I can relate to some of this shit even though the biggest set I’ve skated is 8 stairs lol these guys are soooo gnarly
Fuck I need a chocolate hat. Much love Crob.
Bruh Jamie the king of dip and pinch
That trick is nuts
How do u even get this good at grinding down rails, I get u can learn grinds on a flatbar on the ground but how do u go from a flatbar to a 15 stair handrail lol seems like u basically have to sacrifice your body until u learn it
basically it yeah. fall on 4 stairs and 5 and 6 and…
Natural talent, progressing and good skateparks to practice.
Jamie Foy is about the rawest dude on a skateboard EVER PERIOD. His made tricks are just insane but his slams elevate him to a near god status. IMO
Contest Goat: Yuto/Nyjah - Big drop Goat: - JAWS - Rail Goat: Jamie Foy
Every one in the 9 Club needs to stop asking questions or adding their personal anecdotes when the guest is in the middle of a point.
Jamie is the man
i used to ride a 7.25 with a size 11 shoe xD i didnt know any better
Legend
Hahaha Rodger with a sledge hammmwer on a scooter is dope
the more you watch the feeble the more perfect it becomes
I do my FS 5050s the same way.
Somewhere out listenin is some Lil. Hes probably lonely but really watching p people skate and listening to your show. And because of this he's going to pick up a board someday probably soon it's going to start learning tricks and it's going to start stockpiling these tricks. And then one day that kid will wake up and realize he's now the best skater on the planet. That or one of the top four skaters on the planet on the planet
Jaws ollie over that rail was so fucked
That's exactly how I would 50 flat rails: aim for the middle and upon contact shift weight to heels. If you ollie too far over, the board just flips out under you but you land on your feet on the other side of the rail. Don't ollie far enough, and you're in for a world of pain though.
Yeah that's what I also assumed. You land on your feet other side of the rail, or MAYBE bail while turning your body towards the top so you can grab the rail with your hand and either straddle it or just hold on to it to stop you in your tracks so you don't just tumble down.
I feel like bailing out of this I would instinctively try to reach a hand for the rail itself to hold on to.
Either way it's still fucking nuts.
I normally like smaller boards but I am a small dude, so board control is way easier. 7.5 or 7.75 but if I was tall and lanky like some id rather skate something bigger just cuz it's easier to catch and have stability, correct?
Just listened to Ronnie Creager's 9 Club and was surprised to find out he, C Rob and Kelly Hart all skate under-8 inch setups. This was standard when I started (1995, I know, I'm old) but is now considered tiny. Bottom line: if it works for you, it's good, but it can be fun to try different shapes and sizes sometimes. I've been riding 8.25 the last year but I'm thinking of going back to 8, mainly just because it's a little lighter and I'm not skating bowls or rails anyway.
There's nothing wrong with 7.75 board size !!! In highschool i had 2 alien boards a dyrdek 7.49 and a kalis 7.35 crazy skinny. I can skate just about any size board but anything beyond an 8 feels like a tank.
Jamie foy!
He’s automatic with the front feeble
This skinny guy and me ( i was skinny too) But we used to used to skate with this thick dude like Jamie and we were always like how the the fuck does this dude guy pop his shit this high and clean. To anyone thats never seen it first hand its incredible.
Why does it have to be scarier why cant it be which was more fun ?
I don’t remember if he said this in the video or not, but did he do this first try after FS 50 it?
Milton Martinez bs 180 that stairs in 2012
I'm definitely only in the Ten Club at best
I wonder if the Knob Buster was in the room during this conversation
Jamie Foy is a G. Straight up G. Does 50-50’s the proper way. The way they SHOULD be done. Cross grinding is the pressure flips of rails.
Bulshit that ain’t no flat bar !!! -CROB-
I am listening to all the pointers... then I say to myself: but I can barely 50-50 a curb. Leave a LIKE and go to another video.
What are they talking about with the "cross grinding" and "cross lock" talk? Never heard that before
the way your trucks lock into the grind
on round rails your trucks can be in different positions when grinding. kind of complicated to explain. i guess it could apply to skinner square rails too but not as much imo.
when you lock into a 50-50 you have a couple ways to lock on. double heel is where your trucks lock on at your heel side. Cross lock is where one truck is heelside and the other is toeside.
Basically your front trucks lock in on the left side. And your back trucks lock in on the right side, or vice versa
Yeah what Mike said^
I fucking hate ads
Gnar
😳
Foy is the sickest!
