I hope that they do end up giving this side couple screen time as well since I feel most romance anime now usually skip/condense the other couples in favor of the main ones.

This relationship is not the problem. The actual problem is with the two main leads. One wants to be a ob doctor. While the male lead wants to be a cake maker just like his dad. But this manga shows how demanding each job is. Meaning of the two main leads don't break up it's unrealistic. Which realism is why this manga is so popular.i honestly thought she would help him with cake making but now I know that this relationship is doomed to end. 😢
Yeah, what I would hope it's that if they break up it's because sadly their goals in life make them split up, then we get a timeskip where they meet each other again and if the author decides to keep them single when they meet again they slowly but surely restart were they left. Pd: Also that we see the process of them rebuilding their relationship, not only so this manga can keep going for a little while but so that we can enjoy the process and not leaving it in the realm of speculation.

The less time they have together. The more chance of cheating and/or abandonment. This happens all the time to long distance relationships. 😭

If we’re getting only 12 eps tho, the amazing side character development MIGHT get cut, but this is cloverworks we’re talking about so I’m sure we’ll be fine. Conclusion: read it. It’s good. Really good.
wait the anime if you just want the romcom, but if you want to see the deeper relationships and evolution of the characters, reading the manga is your best option. A lot of development occurs in later chapters which likely won't get animated soon, like the past and future of the main cast
