I placed mine right under where the trailer brake controller would go. It works perfectly for me and definitely allows for the leg room without interference with the firearm. Hope this helps!
I’m trying to determine if I’m safe to screw the magnet into that area of the truck. (Same truck, same placement, etc.) I worry about wires running behind the silver plastic…
Only downside is you cannot chamber a round while secured to ir, as there are models out there where you can. As to holding up I do not know, have not had the truck in 2yrs.

Yeah I've never under stood why people get so riled up about this. Before all the liberals said it no one cared and it was just slang but now everyone trying to enforce proper terminology. Annoying AF Derek I bet you call a silencer a suppressor but proper terminology is silencer.
I have another brand that has the sticky backing. I didn't want to drill holes. I never felt comfortable with the set up after my wife had a relative killed in a freak accident. He had a loaded gun in the car that was dropped and the trigger snagged on something and it went off and hit him in the head. I worry now about the pistol dropping and the trigger hitting a pedal or something. I am going to rig a kydex holster next to my seat instead.
So have you installed this yet? Link to the video? I have the same truck and want to make sure I'm not gonna drill the screws into any wires accidentally.
I have, not sure which video as I just included it in another one. I did not screw it in though. I used 3m tape as I didn't want to put screws in my truck lol but the 3m tape has held since last July so far. I just completely covered the entire back of the magnet with it. If you want to screw it in there isnt any wires you would hit though, the screws it comes with are not long enough to hit anything.
Thank you. I ordered and will try some 3m double sided tape for mine as well. Not excited about drilling screws in even if there aren't potential wires. If you find the video where you installed yours please link it either here or in the description. Thanks!
I just put mine between the console and drivers seat (no magnet) Fits tight and never moves and can get to it extremely fast if need be. Idk just me though, works for me
Totally off topic of video but I noticed that trailer assist knob have you tried it I can back up a trailer but I think it would make it harder with a small knob I guess it wouldn’t matter if you never backed up a trailer
I have not used it but I feel the same way. Like it would be hard to do since not use to it at all and it completely takes away steering the truck itself. It's to steer the trailer so it would certainly take some time to get familiar with.
Honest question, do you think it would hold gun even in car accident/vehicle flip? It’s the one con I hear about gun magnets in vehicle. Thanks for review!
Damn, I don't wanna drill holes in my 2002 Blazer, much less a new truck 😜. I just seen a advertised email where they are giving these away now, just "pay those good ole' shipping & handling frees" not..(why I'm watching this) I carry my P938 behind the passenger rear seat in that pocket, just reach & pull that sucka out. Or pull up on the Conceal Carry holster, let it unclip & fall inside if I don't want it seen or the mag end seen. Good product though
Anyone complaining about not holding is I bet 95% people with non ferrous meaning stainless, aluminum(handguards..barrel? Ect...) which is not magnetic...
Don’t want to beat a dead horse, but all modern pistols use a “magazine” to hold and feed ‘cartridges’ into the firearm. Also, please never lower the trigger the way you did in the video. That is specifically why Sig pistols include a DE-COCKER lever; you know, that lever on the grip right by your thumb. After watching this video, a see a negligent discharge in the near future. Good intentions, but bad firearm safety and gun handling.

Do the sights rest against the plastic where you mounted the magnet or is the magnet thick enough to keep that from happening?
