    would it not be quicker to just cut it in half and mirror?

      No, both sides are little different.

      Yes it would be for the base shape. Also when working so low res you risk all the shading glitches.

    Im hving a hard time in 16:22 where you need to use edge ring utiities

      Do u mean how he got the edge ring utilities if so press ctrl+right click.
