Great video. I have found that if you stagger the tile sheets it helps eliminate sheet lines. Also a sacrificial piece of wallboard under your penny tile when cutting helps a lot. Keep up the great work.👍

I really like that your videos emphasize the importance of preparation. With previous tile jobs I didn't have the patience to really prep properly. As with many of the trades, being patient and meticulous is so very important!!

Awesome job mama!!! FYI when I've done templates out of foam or ply for everything from car audio to shower pans, cabinet scribing and crown I use CA Glue. It speeds everything up tremendously especially if you don't need something permanently fixed.

I want to lay a penny tile floor in my bath. I want to insert a design with a contrasting color penny tile. This will be a series of vine like lines of tile meandering across the plane. How would you suggest I cut the mesh, insert the unique tiles, and hold it all together for the tile installer?
It looks like a hydro ban foam presloped kit. Like Schluter's Kerdi products. It comes presloped and with a waterproof membrane on it already and you just cut it down to size and drop it in.

Find a paper or plastic sheeting that is sticky on one side and lay your tiles out facedown onto the transfer paper
What trowel would you recommend / did you use for penny tile? 1/8 v-notch?
I used a 1/4" square notch and I knocked the ridges down with the flat side of the trowel to eliminate excess bleeding of thinset through the joints.
Do you back butter small tile like the penny tile in this video?
Depending on material soaking them in water prior to install helps with bonding

Template is waste of time. Just lay dry fit tile on shower pan then tinset section by section. She does great job anyway but not the way I do.
