Sox fans sure appreciate the love for Wyler Abreu, Trev.
Just to give a little bit of context, Abreu was a September call-up last year and the dude raked. He was unstoppable in September. Coming into ST this year, Alex Cora made it clear that Abreu was gonna be one of the regulars in the outfield because of his offensive ability but also because the dude has a great arm. Unfortunately for him, he had an awful ST and that awfulness continued into the regular season where the first two weeks of the season he couldn’t hit anything and was also making a bunch of mental mistakes both defensively and on the base path. Fortunately for him, because the Sox are dealing with so many injuries, they couldn’t afford to send him down and instead had no choice but to stick with him and hope that he would once again find the success he had in September, and he did. Over the past 10 games or so he has been incredible both offensively and defensively. Kudos to him for putting in the extra work and getting out of the massive slump he was in and also kudos to the team for not giving up on him so quickly. He surely deserves all the love he got from you, Trev.

Mariners got basically skipped over last time, and maybe that's fair given they played the Rockies. Hopefully this week they actually give the Ms credit for a big series win against the defending champs
Hey, Trevor. You mention the Mariners record scoring 4 runs as a plus, but neglected Cleveland's 17-2 record so far when doing just that. And that we have the best bullpen in baseball right now. And we have done this with Jose Ramirez posting a sub .700 OPS most of the season so far.

I saw Logan Gilbert live vs Rangers first game of the series. He is honestly really good. Mariners pitching staff is solid. When Rangers get Scherzer, Bradford back it will even out rotation and the bullpen will be better also.

Gavin Lux .... Tho he's playing second now, he's getting reps next spring training. Witt Jr. McCian on the reds Trey Sweeny will play SS some this year at some time. CT3 also got a defensive change at SS for LAD. Max Muncy ( A's not dodgers) will play for Oakland at some point this year, cuz their SS suck. Dansby Swanson is 1/4 Latin.

It also doesn't help that the White Sox are seen as a "big market team" so by getting the 5th pick in this year's draft, they can only get as high as 10th in next year's draft thanks to the new lottery system. WE CAN'T EVEN LOSE RIGHT
The White Sox have 3 wins on the year and two of them are against the NL and AL best records… Wild.
Cubs are showing their resiliency! Steele, Suzuki, Belli, possibly Happ, all on the IL but they continue to win. That is a great indicator of future success. PCA stepping up, Canario making plays in the outfield. Sliding Nerris into that “closer” role paid off, too. Great sweep against the Astros.

Max is noticably better at the glove this year, so u trade top 5 defender in MLB for a hair over avg one. Max will get u 20 more XBH, but 70 more K's. plus u get a possible light Randy Johnson in Ryan, and a B grade throw in.
The Cardinals two stars are no longer good. The best two players are Sonny Gray and Contreras. We stink.

Everyone please look at Salvador Perez’s statcast defensive numbers. He was one of the worst in baseball last year and he’s completely turned it around. Could be small sample stuff but the turnaround in framing is remarkable.

If the Mariners want to take the west, they need to establish a pretty big lead early. The Rangers are .500 with 2 starters injured, 3/5 of their rotation injured, and their bats haven't really gotten going. Oh, and they've already changed closers, and the guy who recorded the last out in the world series missed 3 weeks.
Mariners are 4/5 rotation and are missing Matt brash in relief. By mid may mariners could be 100% pitching staff. Just saying

Busch coming in hot this year has been fun to watch. Morel doing well at 3rd, PCA showing early promise. Best middle infield in baseball. Teams got so much going for it, still can't believe Jed did nothing to address the RP situation in the offseason.

The cardinals are the next pirates and reds combined. All are historic franchises. They all lose in 30 year increments like every other team in the division. There is just a plethora of issues plaguing the team, and it’s not just the injuries to their rotation….or Jose Abreu being completely useless (Bregman no much better either).
Trev mentions the offense….they are putting up good INDIVIDUAL numbers, but they are absolutely HORRENDOUS with runners in scoring position (they’ve left the 3rd most runners on base, and are just again, terrible with runners in scoring position).
and if they get ahead…..the bullpen has been absolute DOG WATER……and the insane part is….the reason the bullpen is dogwater is because the high leverage guys are the ones screwing things up (Bryan Abreu, Ryan Pressly, Josh Hader).
They aren’t playing as a team right now. They are a bunch of individuals who happened to dress alike. 🤷🏼♀️
