But polonaise is not any Dutch dance. It's a Polish one, traditionally danced in Poland, since centuries, originating in Poland, one of five Polish national dances. Check for instance in the Wikipedia (it's stated in English version also). And even Fryderyk Chopin was composing, among others, also polonaises (as well as music based on Polish other dances, such as e.g. mazurkas). In our secondary schools, all the pupils (being at the age usually of 18 y.o.) - before taking the final exam, called the "maturity exam" - dance this dance at the official beggining of a ball organized for them in each school, every year. And watch also a movie of Andrzej Wajda (who in 2000 received a honorary Oscar Prize for his whole life work) - titled "Pan Tadeusz" (in English: Sir Thaddeus) - where there's a famous scene of all the Polish nobles dancing polonaise (the movie is based on the most famous book of our XIXth century writer). In the movie they dance polonaise to a beautiful music composed by Polish composer Wojciech Kilar (he composed film music to some Hollywood productions as well, and msny other works). And the name "polonaise" means in French "Polish" (in Polish language we write this name as: polonez). It's even listed at the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage as a traditional Polish dance. The polonaise dance, originating in Poland, influenced later the ballrooms of other European countries.
@@MayaTheDecemberGirl Where did I say it was a dutch dance? I only said it was a famous dance in the Netherlands but never said it was originally dutch.
Although I'm from Europe and I even personally know some people from the Netherlands, but with these answers I wouldn't guess. Because apples are eaten in most of the European countries. I think that apples, also their growing and export, are definitely much more characteristic for my country (Poland) than for the Netherlands. And smashed potatoes and sausages are also eaten in many European countries (by this one, I actually thought it may be Germany). The traditional dance, without a name of it, was rather impossible to guess. And I've never heard of this celebrity she mentioned (only when I googled name of this celebrity, I found out that she is Dutch). So her answers made it difficult to guess.

If it was about plant, not just fruit, and she would mention "tulips" - everyone would know at once. Or if she mentioned some of the Dutch painters, like Rembrandt, Vermeer or van Gogh.
