- Happy New Year Folks!
The Northwest Adventurer (NWA) travels to Westport, Washington to view and outrun the January 2022 KING TIDES from the famous Westport Viewing Tower.
If you don't know what King Tides are and why people travel far distances to view them. In this video you'll be able to see them up close & personal and you'll learn why they're called KING TIDES.
BTW, never underestimate the Power of the Pacific Ocean and in this video you’ll see why.

Thanks Brother! That observatory tower has seen it all but I believe one day it will all wash a away into the ocean. And if that happens, I’d hope to be cooling out on the 2nd floor of Merino’s enjoying some Ling & Chips!

The power of Mother Nature, living in Tokeland we do not look forward to King Tides. When you traveled to Tokeland to go fishing for Dungy’s was the road in still underwater?
Hi Mike, Yes indeed those Kings will definitely cause havoc and serious destruction to the Shoreline. I do not recall SR 105 near Shoalwater flooding but I do recall in Grayland near the Post Office to be under a couple of feet of water.
