Hello Bro, what a tragic story. All characters are weird and their lifestyle was such that something bad was bound to happen. Booze and drugs are dangerous especially for foreigners in Goa where predators are eager to bounce on young females. As usual your story narration was excellent.
Even though the mother may have substance misuse issues or made bad judgement about leaving her daughter in India , the real and evil culprits are the rapist and murderers . The mother should not be blamed for the serious crimes because she did not commit them .
I beg to differ here Jas ji…as a father of 2 kids oneself,i have a strong opinion that your child is solely ur responsibility,be it his/her safety,health,education or career.Dnt rely or trust others,people out there are in their own mess.Even as a teacher,i’ve met parents,who’ve totally shunned their responsibility and fully relying on teachers …a good,healthy n detailed topic to discuss…🙏🙏
@ I hear you but with many people who have substance misuse problems they often also come from traumatic backgrounds or substance misuse backgrounds themselves, so their parenting capacity is impacted , this is not a crime , sadly not everyone has the advantages to deliver first class parenting as you describe. We must be sympathetic towards those who are disadvantaged , being judgmental does not support their recovery. As you know from criminal research it is common for children to be subjected to horrors and this will impact their mental health, and own parenting later on in life.
