Increased oil production for Saudis is not beneficial. Dominance of US Dollar is going to decrease one way or the other. China will ensure that dollar dominance fade and many nations will join that league. I feel it’s time for multi polar world.
1. Saudi decision only gives it a flexibility to price oil in currency other than USD. Since the pact was due for renewal, it is only natural that given the current circumstances, Saudis will would have naturally decided as they have. There is nothing alarming about it. 2. So called De dollarization process gained more traction after USA froze Russian assets after Ukraine war. Parallelly, countries like India wanted the settlement to take place in Rupees to avoid US sanctions on countries like Iran and Russia and in general promote dollar free trade so that India does not have to buy USD all the time for imports. 3. But USD will remain the currency for converting prices from one currency to another for a long time though settlement in USD through US banking system will come down over a period of time. 4. So US financial dominance is going nowhere but financial muscles of China, India, Russia etc are gaining strength!!

If Oil is non $ billed, yes, but that is not the whole story. This $ run will run for a decade more though not as strong as before. The flip side: if the $ weakens, remember Indian service exports esp software will take a big hit, do not forget it.
