- This is a speedrun of Anno 1602 (aka. 1602 A.D.) in the Endless Game, defeating all 3 enemy players in 16 minutes with an alternate citizen strategy.
Although not the fastest approach due to the required longer building setup and having to destroy more of the opponents islands because of that, it's an overall easier method that allows for quick and efficient battles with superior equipment, as well as providing a greater income in a more advanced development state.

obwohl das spiel so alt ist, finde ich die Grafik immer noch beeindruckend
Gnomue Naja also die Grafik ist jetzt nicht das Gelbe vom Ei🤣 Da fasziniert mich eher die fesselnde Wirkung des Spiels :)

Do they actually need it for developing or is it just a boost for taxes?

Settlers always need Alcohol AND spices or tobacco (just 1 of these 2 are needed)
You can get Aristocrats with only one of these two goods actually... the second one just boosts taxes
But... Do you really enjoy to play this game the way you do?
Why were they able to create a good AI in 1998 but in 2011 it was complete botched with Anno 2070?
+Sam Sim It's almost as if programing AI for a smaller game is easier to pull off than for a larger and more complex game.
The ai in anno 1602 isnt smart at all. My way is safer, almost as fast and its on very hard. I should have made a video long time ago
lol. "Anno 1602" + "good AI", really funny. xD I also love this classic game, but for experienced players this lame, weak and often stupid-acting 1602 A"I" is anything but challenging!

Trying to find out how to consistenly beat the other Small Trading Ship at the start, but I seem to have a below 50% success rate. Are you doing any better, and if so, what's the trick? =]
Manage to get in the first hit for free consistently (hit Red while he's at a certain range, sailing away from you). Yet when I then try to trade hits, he almost always wins. Even while I'm shooting first in the trade.
I know how to do this. You have to click fast constantly with your left mouse button on the enemy ship. (Notice how his mouse cursor moves a tiny bit at the start)
Spiel es auf schwer und versuche es dann nochmals. ;) Dann hast du nur noch die Hälfte des Anfangskapitals.
Now try it on hard and with normal speed. At 3:32 you would have run out of money on the 2 highest dificulty settings. Easy is too easy in this game imo.

I know your pain my fellow anno player it took me several YEARS to understand that you load them with Ctrl + left click on the ship

Sorry. This is no real "Strategy". You have the fastest speed? Easy to get it this way then, because your Difficulty is Easy!!!
Quite disappointed.. you fail in so many things... On lower speed you could do very much more. Increasing the Speed this insane is like cheating.
