- In this video I share the actual buying process that I've experienced myself in buying almost 50 cars and 8 Dodge Challenger and Charger Hellcats, Scat Packs, and an RT and the tricks and tools the dealerships use to get you to pay more for these cars and huge mark ups unnecessarily.

I love OCMotivators videos. This man does very well for himself and yet he is so down to earth.
Thanks Angelo
😂 that's exactly what happened to me Brad when I pulled in with my pickup truck where I purchased my Challenger the guy was standing literally half a block away I barely pulled in to the dealership and he started waving his hand first I thought he was trying to get the guy's attention that was pulling out he ran towards and as soon as I told him what I was looking for he literally guided me into a parking spot it was hilarious😂 but check this out when I went back to pick up my plates no one walked up to me😂
This is such a great video any younger guys bookmark this and watch this 10 times before you go buy any car especially if it's a "dream car" which means you'll be a lot more susceptible to impulse buy . OC is covering literally the entire process step by step wish I saw this video before I bought my scat a few years ago could've saved me a few grand, definitely will be watching this video over when I get my M4 next year , great video OC!
Here’s my 4-square, in strict chronological order:
1. OTD Price (includes negotiating down or eliminating dealer imposed add-ons);
2. POTENTIAL dealer financing (includes pre-approved loan from my preferred financing institution(s), LIMITED credit shopping authorization, as OCM said in this vid, and demand to see dealer’s buy rate AND sell rate);
3. F&I menu items (prepped for polite hard-ball nego, including considering certain options, e.g. extended warranty, AFTER taking delivery); and, lastly,
4. POTENTIAL trade-in (with proper pre-valuation/comparable sales data on-hand).
The good dealers with pro sales philosophy will abide by your preferred pace, if you’re politely firm. Dealers who refuse to separate these nego phases are hellbent taking you for a money draining ride.
It also helps buyers to engage the in-person phase (where you walk in with your checkbook or bank pre-approval) toward end of the month (say, around 28th/29th).
Thanks for the ride SoCal is so beautiful! 😎
“They’re smoking dope” facts lmao
i just bought a "2023 challenger RT plus" last week, on the website the sticker price was $53,820 but they had a $2,000 dodge rebate and $3,000 dealer discount so i had figured the real price was $48,820 ($5,000 off)which seemed good to me. i got to the dealer and they had the other sticker with mark up with the door guards and stuff which added about $2,000. idk how but final price ended up being $58,685. seemed like a decent price in the end i bought it. dont think i got ripped off but those discounts and stuff on the website dont really help at all with all the add ons they push. I said no to extended warrantyand all that and gave 30k down payment and got 7.9% interest rate with 800 credit score. i was planning on paying it off in a few months anyway. but i didnt know i could negotiate those $2,000 in add ons like the door guards and security systems, i thought those were already equipped on the car so i had to get them. im new to your channel btw great stuff!
Congrats on your purchase man 🎉 just curious what state did you buy out of ?

Thank you OC for all the information
Keep it coming OCM‼️ I greatly appreciate all the free advice. It is super educational. Prices coming down. It maybe time for me to upgrade👍.
That is soooo awesome man! You definitely have the coolest hobby /job
Your challenger is awesome. Besides listening to the great advice, I also just enjoyed watching the POV view of you driving.
Excellent video
Favorite line “The beginning of rolling in the dirt”. LOL. I’ve been enjoying your videos.
OC, loved the Chris Farley inclusion in this video. Great choice. Kudos to the I info on tactics employed by the dealer and how to counter negotiate with them. If you wait them out and you are a serious and knowledgeable buyer, you will get your car at the price that you want to pay or are at least willing to pay.
Keep the videos coming
Brad your videos are never too long lol 🫡
What’s that lil sticky camera holder called if ya don’t mind
Love the information you put iut
"The feel of the wheel will seal the deal." LOL
You have a nice car. Looks great.
Great video idea would be to go over all the cars you’ve bought and the stories behind them
This man is speaking nothing but truth! I went to a dodge dealership to buy a scat pack widebody and literally every single thing he’s saying is everything that happened even down to the 4 squares and me signing it! And back and forth about the monthly payments. So after hours we came to a deal but you wouldn’t believe what happened! The dealership manager said sorry we would have to hold off on this deal until Monday and when Monday came, that’s right you guessed it! The deal we agree on was now a even worse deal 😂 I can’t make this up if I tried!
going thru the something similar my ram lease is almost up, and trying to fig out all the ins and outs to get a new one, its just a giant PIA
Absolutely agree 100%...it's funny when I take my wife's 2014 jeep grand cherokee overland compared to my 19 challenger hellcat redeye...the salesman roam around with the jeep but all come running out with the redeye😂
I want this camera. A great channel starter camera. Got any extras? 😊 I'm listening to the video and got PTSD from buying my first car😅
One of my challenger purchase said glass protection was included which they wiped on the windshield after i signed the paperwork
The little camera works just fine! That being said slow down your motion because it’s so herky-jerky some of your audience might be getting nauseous like myself. Not from your continent, but from your quick movements.
Love the input from the Customer buying side. I personally think it's pretty naive to expect one of these Last Call's @ MSRP haha...but god bless anyone who tries! I work at a FORD / CDJR Dealership and we do have Scats & Cats at MSRP, but we also have ones marked over. Demand is too high and supply is not there (all things considered). Great Video!
Watch my other videos. Happening every single day. I even got mine for msrp. I even post all of the messages. I found 2 hellcats last week for subscribers at msrp and one got one for $1000 under. With many of these at 50,60,80,100 days unsold, either the dealers need to commit to owning them for a long time or dump the mark ups. The days on the lot are public information now and people simply aren’t paying more than msrp for them. And certainly not 10-20-30k over. Nope. Not happening.
Look at my most recent commenter. Got his last call car under msrp. No offense. But I’m thinking you’re the naive one here dude. If a badass car doesn’t sell in 84 damn days then maybe, just maybe, it’s overpriced. But what do I know. 😂
@@ocmotivator 100% my Friend! I ordered a hellcat jb for 1% under Invoice (through my dealership). It came in and the price was honored, just didn't feel like giving up my $550/mo. payment on my Daytona 392 haha! I think the most we've marked up a Redeye was $10K, at the same time the majority that come in were all special orders under MSRP. Only if the customer backs out we'll market adjust. I personally just sold a WB Shakedown 6sp for MSRP, and my Jailbreak I ordered was sold at MSRP. It's all about the dealer, and the demographics surrounding that dealership.
@@ocmotivator Sorry I wasn't calling you naive, only making a generalization. Didn't mean for that comment to sound like it was directed at you.
Naive to expect a new car at the price the manufacturer suggests and not gouged by the slimy middle man dealer? I can’t wait until car dealers are phased out and customers can buy directly from the manufacturer
Before even telling price of car back in feb the pulled credit ten times.. i walked away eith them saying put diwn 15k they could of told me that before they pulled my credit.. score dropped 100 points.. bought a 2020 manual challenger scat off carvana with 19k miles for 39k and financed thru my credit union with gap and a 7 year warranty waay better than the 74k they were trying to get at the banks
Hello, I am in the market to get a vehicle this year and one of my options is the challanger, however I am hesitant since this is the last year for these cars. Do you think we are going to have problems finding basic parts for the challengers?
Auto manufacturers are required by US Federal Law to have parts available for any models they sold for the period of 10 years.
@@ocmotivator thank you for the Info
Would you buy a challenger 2021 truck with 60,000 miles?
Rt
Hey Brad I offered you the other day to go to the NASCAR racing October 15th you said you can make it maybe next year in March right around the same time March 15th the fourth race of the Season here in Las Vegas the be my guess is it's still on the table my friend the car business for over 40 years and I can tell you that right on the money and the FourSquare which I used to sell cars a long time ago instant greatest tool a half or one of the greatest to it will they have
Definitely take you up on that offer!
I'd say don't buy shit right now!! It's gonna get bad in 2024
saw one like your sub lime swinger Manuel , $25k over was $20k on memorial day mark down 4th July $15k now Labor Day still there .dealer sent me generic e Mail about the car responded back msrp " its limited ed we have up to $40k on these special edt" other scat pack models we can do better , some dealer web sites show $100k on black ghost $30k mark up s shaker /swinger models $60k on super stock I don't need the car that bad why are they still there ?
That’s nuts. And they’ll be there for a while at those prices.
A radar detector might be a good investment........
Can you put 5,000 down. You answer yes. They then reply "up too?" How much per month? You say 1000, they respond up too? They also use different color sharpies... green means go, red means stop lol.
Not gonna lie I just learned something
Yep wait a couple of months
The car will still be there I’m not paying the up marks😊😊
Don't get me wrong the FOMO was real. It was real in October of 2022. It was real when there was only orders and allocations. When they actually showed up and now sit for 30, 60, 90 days......there is no more FOMO string to pull. They ain't selling at FOMO mark ups, but the salesmen are still singing that song like the band still playing while they ride that FOMO Titanic to the bitter end, even though their cars are taking on water (days on the lot) with no sale.

I know my statement is unpopular, but you will thank me later! 🇺🇸
Excellent advice, sir! 🫡
The new insta360 cam works perfectly
I give you props OC ❤. I just can’t see dealership people and strippers as human beings. I have learned a lot from guys like you and knockout 360 on APR’s, deals and negotiations.
Keep up the good work
Does anyone want dibs on a 2023 widebody scatpack charger in B5 blue for sticker price? Let me know. I have connections to this particular car order. Just respond to this comment. You will have to go to a TX dealership to get the car though, or rather the car is at a dealership in TX. It is a brand new ordered vehicle, no miles on it.
Let me know if you are interested and let me know what state you are in. Thanks
