Dude it took me a week to download far cry 2
Years ago I had a demo version of Arcanum on a CD from inside a PC magazine. Being a kid at the time, I spent about 15-20 hours exploring every available bit of the map, several times. If I win this PC, I could finally finish it like I've often thought of doing, but never got around to.
14:23 ohh my favourite DOS game: Theme Hospital!!!
GOG: Stop DDOSing us.
Linus: We're just downloading the Games with 10 Gigabit/sec. OK

I like how GOG just gave them a bunch of games out of the goodness of their hearts without even a sponsorship contract, and they repay them with hogging their servers
When your internet so fast you get blacklisted as a DDOS attack 😂

when you see a "giveaway" on a RUclips channel, and get exited, then remember you live in NZ, and no one includes NZ in thier Giveaways....but get pleasantly surprised by the Terms & Conditions cause they say "Anyone worldwide can enter." WOOHOO i can at least enter this one.
Same thing for Québec resident, we are always excluded :-(
Because our consumer protection agency requires that all !giveaway" put up a bound to ensure that the prize is really given, and of course no one w

Lol, same problem here most of the time. Different country though, The Netherlands..
ugh.... I would trade that privilege any day to live where you live though!
TastyLaserCakes not sure if you’re talking about NZ or not but I reckon it’s pretty boring to live here but good to visit
When the game rejected Linus lmao😂😂
Looked like Leasure Suit Larry 2 maybe. When I had that as a kid I could answer a lot of stuff to bypass that bit. Of course I read a lot as a kid.
@@tastymonkey It was LL 1. "In the Land of the Lounge Lizards"
It has been a few years since I last played most of them.
My favorite one was LSL5. Too bad 4 was stolen. 😄
Love this! Im still working off a 6300 fx on a pcie 2.0 and no usb 3.0 to be found. I'm hoping to get something like this next year.

Also, BIG props to Arthur!
I mean...My steam account's worth probably 4-5x my PC.
As I happen to be building a similar thing at the moment it was helpful to see many similar hardware choices were made here. I feel like this video could have used more explanation regarding the use of a blower style video card in an mini-itx case. Also the case manufacturer is not currently selling this case; a few alternative case suggestions would be helpful as pairing mini ITX cases with full size video cards is difficult.
Dang, I haven't seen one of yur vids glitch out that badly in a while! O_O

Linus also mentioned Hugo in the Temple OS video
when I was a kid, I would get my grandma when she babysat us to answer the skill testing questions for me to get into leisure suit larry in land of the lounge lizards. she'd ask me why it needed to know those things, and I just made up some story and then she went off to read her book.

"Yeah we could only get it to work on Linux and there's no instruction manual"
what's a readme?
@@crustysocks5742 A file named "readme" so that if someone encounters issues and opens the folder, that is the first piece of information they check. Some people are annoying and put license information, or credits, or patch notes, in them. But really, it is meant to be a documentation tool for people to avoid making "stupid" mistakes that is predicted/frequent but super simple to explain and fix. Another common naming-pracitce for said file is "manual.md" or "readme.md", which iirc is the file github looks for to present as the manual for the project in the repository.
@@crustysocks5742 a readme is a special file on github.com that is meant to describe your project and/or give instructions on how to set up and run your project. Gogrepo, the github repository they found, is actually extremely well documented on the readme

Awesome that you're talking about GOG.com. There used to abandonware communities that sought to preserve old games and it's great that this site was created.
