    I am at the beginning of my "investment journey", planning to put 85K into dividend stocks so that I will be making up to 30% per year in dividend returns. Any advice?

      The year has been really rough for everybody. But I've been able to cushion the effect though. Have you thought of using an investment advisor? They can make you good money especially during uncertain times like this.

    I’ve been thinking about setting up a solid ETF portfolio for long-term investing. Any ideas on what could be the best combination?

      It’s about spreading risk while aiming for long-term growth potential. Plus, these ETFs have low expense ratios, which helps maximize returns over time

      VOO (Vanguard S&P 500 ETF) is a staple. It tracks the performance of the S&P 500, offering exposure to top U.S. companies. It’s great for consistent growth

      For international exposure, VEA (Vanguard FTSE Developed Markets ETF) is a strong contender. It covers developed markets outside the US diversifying away from domestic risks

      To balance with bonds, BND is ideal. It covers a broad range of U.S. bonds, providing stability and income, especially during market downturns

    Nice split into 4 segments 🎉 I split my portfolio in just 3 segments: (1) *GROWTH.* Single tech stocks (blue chips like AAPL or MSFT) as well as index etf (like SPY or QQQM). (2) *DEFENSE.* Single stocks (e.g. BRK.B) and etfs (e.g. SCHD) counterbalancing (1). (3) *INCOME.* Several cef (like ASGI, IGR, XFLT...) and few etf with options overlay (like SVOL, SPYI...) to pay my monthly bills.
    The split works well for me since 2022.

    VTI and VOO overlaps 85 percent. Why do you need both in the list. You can put it in VXF. For diversification into mid and small caps

  • @ebonicmaser

    That 1.16% expense ratio is nuts. It's the price you pay for such a high yield. Personally, I wouldn't touch SVOL. There are much better options with a far lower expense ratio. I don't consider anything that has a ratio of higher than .06

    • @JimTheProducer
      @JimTheProducer  3 месяца назад +1

      Well if you take $10k. A 1.16% means $116 worth of value taken from your portfolio annually and a 0.35% means $35. If that 16% yield means an extra $81 per year ($116-$35) then it may be worth it.

    I’ve got a couple good ETFs in my portfolio and I’m up 47%. I’m also well positioned with good blue chip companies and A.I stocks. I will buy $200K worth of Plantir soon, some experts say it's the next Nvidia. Hoping to retire comfortably in 5 years but I know crisis is inevitable.

    Thanks for your insightful guidance, yet I fail to understand the difference between INCOME etfs, and DIVIDEND etfs, since the idea behind both of them is recieving regular income.

    • @JimTheProducer
      @JimTheProducer  3 месяца назад +1

      Income ETFs if you look behind the hood have some type of options play which the fund managers then give you a dividend based on the profits from the option premiums if it’s a sell or some of the profits if it’s a buy. You can expect large annual yields of up to 16% (SVOL) but don’t expect any price appreciation as seen by my of the income ETFs available on the market.
      Dividend ETFs are just buying the regular stocks and compiling them into an ETF and you receive a modest 1-5% annual dividend. You can expect a price appreciation annually if your etf performs well.

    I lost over $80k when everything started to tank. Not because I was in an exchange that went belly up. I was just stupid to hold and because that's what everyone said. I'm still responsible. It just taught me to be a better investor now that I understand more of what could go wrong. It took me over two years of being in the market, I'm really grateful I found one source to recover my money, at least $10k profits weekly. Thanks Natalie Strayer
