Yea the guy that does it for patriots is like. .ehh it's a breeze
Where can I find the brush attachments for the grinder? Been looking around but no luck.
I want to know the same thing…
I want just the brush attachment
Have you guys figured it out ??
What I been using are assortment of cleaning brushes that are attachments for a drill. I bought a pack on Amazon. The reason I bought the assortment is because I wasn’t sure on the bristle stiffness. I put my drill on a vise and use a zip tie to hold down the trigger. It works great but the only problem is the brush only moves in a circular motion. You gotta get creative with moving the ball around. Hopefully this helps.
I’m so glad we have Luke in Green Bay
That’s the Greenbay TE
Did he work for Tom Brady?
do the shaving cream and leather conditioner make the ball more soft
Shaving cream takes off the dye so it's less slippery, leather conditioner softens it up a bit, then the mud is what brings the texture and grip plus helps depending on weather you're playing in too
Yes. The shaving cream serves multiple purposes. It not only helps draw the factory wax off of the ball, but it also softens the leather as well as aiding in the darkening of the ball. The leather conditioner takes it a step further in darkening the leather while also softening the ball. The application of the mud not only darkens the leather, but it also aids in further softening the football as well. Throughout the process, the brushing also plays a part in softening the leather. The entire process is meant to speed up the break in process by not only softening the leather, but also extending the life of the football. Once you go through this entire process, you'll be good to go and use a tack bar to aid in better grip and have a ball that will last for years. Once you're done using the ball for a while or it sits between seasons, add some leather conditioner prior to the start of the next season, re- tack it, and you'll be good to go for yet again another season!
@@GO-wb1gfthe shaving cream also softens the leather.. shaving cream is a widely used product to kick start the break in process of brand new, extremely stiff baseball gloves. So, shaving cream DOES in fact soften the leather of the football. 🤙
Good video, thanks for sharing! But can someone please explain what is the best/simplest way to condition a used leather football (Wilson NFL type), or a never-used "new" leather football that is just old..? And also for same-type leather footballs that have some color fading from sun/light exposure, what is the best/simplest way to condition & restore some color back to the football..? But without the need for the mud step and without the need for making it tacky any more than would happen with basic/simple conditioning.. Thanks for your help!
I’ve always used saddle soap leather polish. Scrub and work in with a towel. Does wonders and gives a good tack.
What type of conditioner do you use?
Mojo you can get it at big game football
It didn’t work
When I apply mud does it have to be bought
Yes a special type of mud
Oregon st ball 🎉🎉❤
Nice
What mud do they use?is there a specific kind I need to get.
they use Lena Blackbourne Baseball Rubbing Mud
@@LMproduno they don’t
@@FctHvn yes they do
@@LMprodu wrong
@@FctHvnshow your sources other than "trust me bro." Lena Blackburn rubbing mud is the most widely used product from Youth football, all the way to the highest professional organizations. There are other products, but are rarely used. Just saying no or telling someone that they are wrong is going to get you absolutely nowhere when 90+% of research and industry wide applications state otherwise. 🤡🤡 Now, the footballs that are used just for kicking, do not receive the mudding application, because NFL equipment managers only have 1 hour to prep 3 footballs before they have to submit then to league officials for inspection.
So much to prepare a game ball. Is all that for improved grip on the football's surface? Almost like how they prep baseballs for MLB games?
Who inflated the footballs for an nfl game
Magic mud
don't put mud on the white stripe....
Why?
It’s luke
this is to give more grip right?
Yeah, and it also easier to catch for wide receivers
Grip, softens the leather, extends the life of the football, etc.
University of Oregon is better, go ducks
So any team can tamper with the game day ball?
Why do they cover the ball in mud??
Maybe they should use a different routine 🤣
This how they do it from college to pros lmao tf maybe educate yourself a little before making ignorant comments 😂😂😂
