I think there's something really nice about selling off a watch that you barely wear. Like it goes from being something stuck in a drawer that you never even think about wearing into someone's best friend that they'll take with them around the world on their travels, or to important events in their life! It's just a watch, of course, but it's just fun to think about them getting a second lease on life!
I'm near the end of reducing my collection from about 75 to 25. Lots liquidated at the 'value' end of the scale to fund some Swiss stuff. What I realised is that when expanding the collection I focussed on watch types (e.g. must get an A dial flieger etc etc) but when culling it I have focussed on the use of the watches ( a watch for theatre, for fell walking, for biking etc etc). It's really helped me to let go of the lovely watches I never wear!
Like every other year, it's been a "find out about a lot of cool watches you can't afford on the internet and carry on just wearing a Casio anyway" year so far :c

One of my favorites is a digital silver LIGE to my surprise with a super comfortable bracelet, somehow it always finds its way to my wrist (I removed the logos, looks awesome with the sterile look). And a digital black SKMEI that I replaced the metal bracelet for a black NATO, everyone thinks is a smart watch.
I did exactly what Teddy talked about in one of his videos: I bought too many watches too fast while i was too fresh in the hobby to have an idea what i would really appreciate over time. Now i need to sell a few watches but every now and then i stumble upon a nice piece that i love to buy broken just to fix it myself. Sometimes it works out, sometimes i end up with a dud. 😊
I'd have a hard time taking that Chronomaster off lol. You are definitely talking my language with that one ! My problem is that I pick out a favorite from the few I own, and the others tend to sit in the drawer and get forgotten about. I think if I had a Chronomaster I would probably be just as well selling off the rest ! Cool video, thanks Jody.
Sad you sold the Ginault as that is how I found your channel originally and mine is the oldest watch in my collection that still gets significant wear. Still absolutely love to see the journey your collection has gone through, and of course your awesome content
Yeah i'm currently culling my collection as well. Some watches i just dont wear enough and for me it is difficult to juggle more than 2 automatics in a rotation without having to wind and set them constantly. So i actually appreciate quartz way more now than i used to. For me it is usually about balance. I like to have a balanced collection. And then i'll buy or sell something that displaces something else or that opens up a gap. So then it takes some rearranging and then eventually after some changes my collection is rebalanced in a different way possibly with other watches than before.
I'm always amazed to see anyone have such a large collection. If I had a collection this large, I'd probably still only wear 3 or 4 watches on a regular basis and the rest would just stay in a box.
@@BergerPatrol I seem to recall Jodie doing videos on the watches he buys. And he's said before that he does about 1/3 of his videos on watches he borrows, 1/3 on watches he gets from sponsors, and 1/3 on watches he buys. So I think he's bought quite a few of those. Still, even if he'd gotten them all for free, my point was that in such a large collection a lot of watches won't see any use.
My rule to myself is only Casios, since I’ve gone down pen rabbit holes and have probably a few to many cameras. Had the a500w before starting from a few years ago, but what really got me going was a Duro. Been loving the black and orange MTP-4500 chronograph with slide rule bezel lately, got the grey GLX-S5600 moon/tide square which wasn’t available in the states, which added to red Casioak, titanium Lineage, and the silver “PRX” Edifice for whenever I want a big beautiful bracelet. Looking to pick up one of the MTP-M105 moon phase tanks, but trying to pace myself.
I have done same - gifted a Pagani sub, sold a royal oak homage, selling marina militaire and traded a couple digitals for disc golf! Finally stepping up to some Swiss value (longines VHP and Oris Aquis) . Five years in, finally comfy dropping four figures
I too have around 50 watches. Just bought the Casio 5000u made in Japan and can’t take it off. Tough Solar, radio, 200m, 6 time zones, chrono, timer, alarms. Crap. And I wear an apple Titanium on my right hand as well. I need more wrists.
How do you typically go about selling your watches? Privately in a batch or each watch individually, or do you put them on consignment with a jeweller? I want to reduce my collection but I just don't have the time to do it myself..BTW, enjoy watching the channel...
About to throw down for a Tudor BB 54 so it's incredibly serendipitous you made this video because I, too, am pondering liquidating half my collection to justify the purchase!
@@mu.zen1 great question; I'm not the type of guy to prescribe a size to others, as I feel that decision is inherently subjective. That said, not only do I love smaller watches and the vintage vibe they have, this is to be a watch I'll wear for my son's birth this coming January and I hope to pass it down to him when he's old enough. So the smaller size lends towards the heirloom-to-be timepiece it'll be. Long explanation for a simple question (sorry).
@@ZCherish That's just beautiful and heartwarming, thanks for sharing. Happy birthday to the little man. These loving stories make these timepieces timeless and priceless. much love. ✨
My collection consists of an Apple Watch Ultra and a G-Shock. I've been researching & saving for 3 months for my 1st nice watch, here are my top contenders: The Citizen (new chronomaster model), Grand Seiko SBGH311, Tudor Black Bay 36 or 54, or the new Longines Spirit Zulu Time 39mm.
I also bought the Baltany type A and sold my 38mm Bambino. I just didnt connect with the Bambino and I absolutely love the Baltany, especially the crystal.
I've always tried to keep "sell one, buy one" mentality to this hobby. Consistently keeping the count under 15. This year i've sold a few pieces and only kept the ones i really like to wear. I'm down to 4 pieces. Sumo, mm300, srp777 and a gshock
Great video as usual. I picked up an Orient Neo 70’s Panda and a Titanium Signum Cuda GMT full lume from Kyle this year. Sold a Steeldive SD1970 blue color way and sold the Neo 70’s to a friend. Looking forward to your micro brand venture Jody!
I still haven't fallen out of love with my King Samurai. In a 15 watch collection I basically rotate through 4 on a regular basis and the other ones are "site specific" pieces. Out of the ones you've sold that I wish I had known were up for grabs, I liked the Oris (but I think the Deauville you have now is nicer!) and the little Orient. I have still never seen an Orient watch in the wild!
Glad you kept the yellow G-Shock. Thanks to your review, ive got one, on my wrist as i type! It, and a v3 Pagani Moonwatch have pinched all the wrist time from my Omegas, Citizens and Christopher Ward!
Yeah I’m at 90, so a few of these are going, but it’s a good mix of brand, micro, auto and quartz… but still too many to wear. Think I’m prudent between solar, mechanical, auto and Accutron/quartz, so when I get my last three (prx and f77) I’m pretty covered. I do have a space section, Cosmonaute Breitling, fortis, speedmaster and lunar pilot. Maybe I’ll dump a few quitars as well as that but as a musician these are hard choices! I don’t own anything that isn’t playable but some get more use than the vintage ones (that I don’t gig with) still between amps, pedals and guitars they eat up allot of space!
Yes I moved a couple this year mainly some fashion watches I bought early on in the hobby. I've been focusing on straps this year. Particularly Erika's Original's and jazzing up some of my watches. Keep up the good work Jody 👏
You're a strong man Jody! I've been putting off reviewing my collection, or counting them even (they're spread around the house). Ive got quite a few, thanks in no small part to you! But perhaps it's time to do a critical review, but I don't think I'd be strong enough to sell any..?
Probably sold about 5 watches this year but replaced them with some awesome pieces. Getting harder to pick which ones to sell to fund new releases as I have a pretty much perfect (to me) collection. New purchases this year were zelos mako GMT, zelos Aurora Damascus, nodus sector deep, canopy wake one and a ball skindiver 3 which is my all time best bargain find. Brand new with 60% off RRP from an AD with full 5 year warranty!
NO RUSH, READ AT YOUR LEISURE (if at all) Hi Jody Michael Mugridge here. I have liked most of your podcast for a few years now. I didn't realise you were in Sydney town. I have spent most of my 60 years living in South East Queensland, Gold and Sunshine coasts mainly but moved to Redfern a couple of years ago. I love watches and have spent too much time looking reading about etc over the last sh t must be nearly 10 years triggered by my old man giving me his 1960 something Seamaster (manual silver/white dial no date no second hand) what was my starting template when discovering watches. I have maybe 20 now some of which are Ball caring 40mm and Ohio with what they call grey dial but which is a lovely cream colour with gold tone hands and indices. I liked the black dialled caring ed first but decided not to wear it for a while to see if it grew on me. Within 6 months i was in love with the Cream Ohio and have gone cold on the marvelight. Now im glad i waited. The best thing about this little obsession is the watches themselves, where art meets mechanical engineering, followed closely by the people. Jim for example, a lovely old fellow (prob younger than me!) from Lismore sold me the Ohio. After i bought it i noticed that he'd recently increased price after I assume realising it was too cheap. I mentioned it to him out of curiosity. My brilliant legal mind told me that i had two chances of getting any legal relief from the court so i didn't even ask him to change the price but he volunteered his Vesuviate Attivo which sells for about 350 i think, great watch btw, 10 bar, hardened , saphire front and maybe back. Understated grey dial .I love the lume colour aqua blue and Red second hand with a circle near the tip, i don't know what that's called. I am keen to do something like you do and probably the first time in my life i would do something not for the money, but that's watches all over isnt it? I have a pretty good knowledge, except for the names of second hand designs and think i can be pretty objective realising the spurious and almost arbitrary ways some pieces become valuable like being worn in a movie. I have the brains i think to avoid putting my foot in it and although i can hold strong opinions i am always prepared to change my opinion in light of new info. I don't try to get my opinion across by using my best and most authoritative voice but by using logic and not becoming entrenched in any view. Anywhoo enough already from me, thanks for reading, let me know if you feel like showing me your collection or if you need a locum! Keep up the good work. Mike
Well done Jody! You have made a good clear out. I really like that red bezel PD, I have the Uranus one after getting a refund (imagine embarrassed face) on the original that gave me a blue wrist. That Swatch is the only one I got rid of. I have an Orient Tristar dress watch I almost sold but didn't, thankfully! It only cost me equivalent to $80 a few years ago. I didn't realize (and maybe the seller didn't either) that it was quite a rare and discontinued dial design. Now, it's selling for around $750 IF you can even find one. I wasn't sure why I didn't like it, but it turned out I just didn't like the bracelet. Got a handmade 18mm white leather strap on it and now it looks the business. 38mm, beautiful tropical sea blue dial, amazing sunburst, everything applied. Now, I cannot envisage ever selling it. Sometimes watches just grow on us.
I suspect that this watch might be the one I've been looking for just from the description you put there. Does the model number begin with FA and end with L9? If it is I have found it for what appears to be a good price but as they're always sold out, that doesn't mean anything. If you ARE interested in selling it, I'm willing to buy it!! 🙏
@@bbwt9991That sounds about right. I'm not a RUclipsr and make some travel vids only for family and friends, but there is one very short one with a couple of watches, a sped up thing and briefly, a couple of seconds, you can see it. That might confirm or deny your suspicions. Unfortunately my friend, it's not for sale. I just cannot part with it. But I appreciate the message.
Yes, I've just seen it. It is what I'm looking for. However I don't blame you wanting to hold on to it. I have found it on the web, but as it's discontinued it's not available anywhere, even Chrono 24, Amazon, eBay and Watchfinder. There is ONE available on a Turkish site and I estimate it would cost around $780 including shipping, import and tax to where I am living but the site will not sell overseas unfortunately. Thanks anyway. Appreciate you replying.
This has definitely been a buying year for me so far. I have bought four watched in total, a Bulova Lunar Pilot, an Islander Northport, a Xeric Halograph II Automatic and a Xeric "mystery" quartz which is currently on its way thru the mail system to my house (hope I haven't made a mistake with this one, we'll see!). I have two watch boxes that hold a total of 22 watches and I usually try to keep my collection constrained to that amount, but I have now gone over by 6 watches, so it will soon be time to find new owners for about 9 or 10 of them.
I consolidated my collection this year for a Moser. I have always loved that brand and it was the only way it was going to happen. No regrets! Currently own 7 watches that I bought myself with a few gift watches thrown in. Feels good to have a much smaller collection than years past
@@JustOneMoreWatch Thanks! I do love it. Lots of consolidation and bought it pre-owned for a great price. Figured it was my only shot at owning the brand, so I went for it. It's a gorgeous watch!
Nice to see the Tissot PR100 receive a rare mention. I have two versions of it, a chronograph (quartz) and a GADA/ dress (Automatic). I love them both.
I got myself a Hamilton Jazzmaster with a smoky green dial in January and honestly, it scratched the itch for a long time. Outstanding value. Other than that, the yellow Casioak joined the collection and that's about it for 2023 :)
Jody, I am still loving and wearing the Arcaido GMT, appreciate the ever-deepening patina, and I especially enjoy telling everyone who asks why it has the Just One More Watch logo. The MR G of Shitbox rally fame is a real fave, usually as a weekend wearer! I envy the discipline you have to pare down your collection - at last count I am at over 200 watches (don't tell my Mrs. G) and fast running out of watch box storage. 😉😉
I consolidated recently. I sold some watches to have fewer watches and went with those that I didn't wear as much and some I knew I wasn't going to with my planned purchases. I ended up selling 9 watches and I purchased 4 watches (Oris Big Crown ProPilot Okavango Limited Ed, Tudor Black Bay 59 925 Silver, Omega Railmaster Blue Jeans, Doxa Sub 200 in Orange). I couldn't be happier with the changes and the new watches!!
Mine collection varies from about 80-90, i'm always trying to sell a few, I wish I could bear to sell about half of them at once. There was one time I sold a vintage Darwil automatic on ebay, about 9 months later I randomly saw the exact same watch for sale and bought it again.
I said a sad goodbye to my Squale 1545 militaire but replaced it with a Sequent Supercharger HR 2.2. There’s something about an automatic fitness watch that is just too hard to ignore! Glad you kept the Formex, top piece.
Just curious Jordy, (or anyone else who would like to chime in), do you have any recommendations of the best sites or ways to flip watches? I've been going the eBay route for a while, of course that gets expensive and it's hit or miss.
I'm thinking of not slow dripping my watches for sale on eBay and just posting like a 100 of them together in one lot and seeing if I get someone to bite. This video was inspiring. Hate to think of digging out all those original boxes and packing.... I find lately I sell 6 or 7 and then buy 4 to 10 more telling myself I will sell more soon. The clear out is not going fast enough.
Big collection. The overall budget could be used for a couple of great watches like a Rolex Submariner, IWC Ingenieur latest release, Tudor Pelagos 39, Omega Speedmaster, JLC Memovox, etc.
Thanks for leading by the example! My ca. 50 watch collection is becoming too big for comfort, and I'm getting to the point where at least 20 of them should go. Mind, 25 would have it halved, that's a nice target.
Definitely been a buying year for me! Picked up three watches - a blue 5KX, a black Kamasu, and a vintage watch from this obscure French company. I never sold a watch as such, because I gave it away to a friend. So yep, one white dial remaining! Let's see if I can save up for a Panda!
I told myself not to get more than 1 watch per year, and here I am with 6 new peaces. 3 of them are g-shocks from a store that was shutting down due to the sanctions (they were selling mostly Swiss stuff, and it's a problem to get it now in Rus). And 3 others are vintage Casios. But watches aren't the biggest problem now really.
I have more than a few in my collection - a Bambino just like yours among them - that haven’t had any wrist time in ages. I should get off my lazy duff and start selling them. Perhaps a good idea for a video would be how you went about selling yours? My acquisitions have slowed. The last ones were a Squale 1521 COSC and a Dan Henry 1963 that just arrived. This hobby is strange but I love it! Cheers!
Buying year Zelo Macko Orange / 3 Seiko 5 / 3 Pagani / Seestern / 2 Steedive / 2 Orient / 2 Invicta Pro Diver (dont judge) / Victorinox Airboss / Tissot PRX Tif Blue / Islander Bayport Ghost because we all need a white dial right .... the collection is growing thanks for all the great vidoes on watches us regular guys can afford / keep up the great work
I got a Casio F-105W to find out whether I can wear a digital and then s GW-M5610U after finding I could. Soon I realised it's too close to my Casioak, but it's not as big, it has better display and solar multiband, so the Casioak went to my brother. If the situation was a bit more stable, I'd get a diver, we'll see.
Watched the video to see if you sold half your watches because of the citizen Chronomaster ... Was spot on with my guess and I understand why! Bought myself a grand Seiko 9F quite similar to the chronomaster.. ever since then only one of my 8 watches have beckoned me to place her on my wrist .. the rest I feel like selling ! The GS SBGP007 is just the perfect watch .
Can you please remind us where you sell most of your watches? Good & brave clear-out. I'm selling a few of the "don't or have never worns" this year. Bought a couple of Ali Ex watches for the first time.
I have 6 and struggle to motivate myself to wear them all over time 😄. I think 3 of them get about 75% of wrist time in a 12 month period. I do like them all though, so won’t be reducing the collection!
Not surprised. I am debating buying that Chronomaster, and I could see it having a similar effect on me. Can't wait to hear about your microbrand. Any idea when you might have more to say?
I need to be more ruthless with my collection. I have sold quite a few on my website, but every time I sell one I end up getting another three to replace it 🤦♂️😆 I need to set aside a day to list a lot of them I think.
I’ve been gifting my Ali watches to get down to 24, though I’ve kept my San Martin SN0021-G (explorer) as a daily banger cuz it’s simply awesome on my 6.5” wrist. Give away example is the San Martin Retro Diver after having picked up the more true homage to Dr No, the BB54. 😊
I have 74 wristwatches plus 3 pocket watches and sadly no RUclips channel to justify them😱, think I'm just a lost cause, looking forward to the Lobini review, love the channel.😂
Damn straight the Helm stayed. Who in the hell would sell off a Helm?!? *lol* Fun episode, thank you! This has been a hold year for me, after paring things down a bit last year. I’m at a very lean 16 watches now and will be lucky to add anything this year, unless my number gets called for a Helm (then one simply buys) or I see a Mako III at a can’t-say-no price on Jomashop.
How do u sell off all your watches ⌚️ ? I've got about 50 plus watches I would like to sell off but not really sure to go about it. thank you in advance And thanks for always making great videos.
I really need to sell some of the about 250 watches I have collected but am kind of afraid of the hassle and potential scam from someone if I try and sell. So alas, I sit on way too many watches to wear and have started giving some away to family and to a waiter who was moving away from a sushi place I frequent several times a month. I guess I just need to be brave and take the selling plunge!
The Pagani Speedy with the black Tachy scale is better looking as the numbers on the scale sit correct unlike the red scale version which do not. Model is the PD-1701.
My collection is pretty small and I'm thinking of selling a couple off to raise funds for another (more expensive watch). Last year, I bought quite a few, but this year I've only bought one, a Rado Diastar Original (a new one), which strangely I love and wear all of the time. I seem to be downsizing and consolidating, next watch will probably be a nice diver or something sporty like a nice chronograph. I'm interested in your thoughts on that Xeric though! Hated them at first, but they are kind of growing on me....
I’m in the process of cutting down my collection as we speak! I sold off a Formex, an Orient, and a Junghans since I wasn’t wearing any of them. Still have to sell off two Seikos and two other micro brands.
Bought a Casio W800H as an 'emergency' watch when a Citizen Titanium Tough 40mm chewed up its winder seal on holiday and it's just so easily read, accurate and no hassle it's made most of my collection shelf bound.....paid a whole €18 for it.......
Hi everyone I'm looking for some advice around this very issue. I'm a new collector and have been collecting meaningfully for about a year and have now reached 20 watches. I'm like a magpie. I see something shiny and just have to get it 😂 problem is I haven't even worn half of them some are still in the plastic. I've learned a lot along the way, and there are some watches I will never wear. So I must start a culling. I've got a mixture of homages from San Martin, and some lower tier Swiss like tisso, hamilton, and certina etc I was looking for some advice on the best places to sell some of these it really is a shame that they stay in the watch box and not being enjoyed on some ones wrist. Also, having more funds can help me buy more 😂 but this time using what I've learned to make better selections. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I live in the UK.
I had 70 plus watches, but over approx 18 months sold about 50 of them through someone. It felt like a relief as they had began to feel like a burden, pointless hoarding as opposed to collecting and I just wasn't wearing them. Unfortunately, the number is creeping up again to 30 plus, I need another cull to get things down to my optimum size of 10. I fear the first 8 to 10 will be relatively easy, but then the voice in the back of the head presents you with reasons why you should keep that one......and that one
Just got me a San Martin SN0107-G "Ranger". See you sold it, you are going to miss it! My other watch is the Pulsar 2001 Quartz. V103-6059 A2 550061. Don't care it cost me only €5,- on the flee market, and I had to buy a NATO for it, it is just a great watch, very elegant even.
Hello Jody, I just finished watching your interview on the “Scottish Watch” podcast….I’m even a bigger fan now! I’ve got my 299.00 US dollars set aside when you are ready to take orders…per Star Trek….Live Long and Prosper!…lol
@@JustOneMoreWatch Thanks. I’d be interested a video about where/how to sell watches online (sites other than yours, of course) and think other followers of yours would be too.
I think I need to buy a new watch this year. After selling my Seiko King turtle, I've had the same BB58 + PRX + GM2100 G-Shock for a year now. Maybe a Oceanus T200 or a Seiko "panda Daytona" would be sick.
Maaan, how you menage to be entertaining from the first to the last minute of your every video talking about watches is beyond me. Well done buddy, you are the reason I started with this hobby.
Last year was my intro into properly collecting, I bought probably 15 over the course of the second half of the year. Pretty stagnant since then, just at the turn of the year I bought an Addiesdive Explorer homage and since then I've bought a couple of straps but that's about it. Pretty happy where I'm at and I doubt I'll be buying more until heading into next year where I'd like something titanium or bronze (or one of each).

Great choice on the Tudor BB 54 It's on my most wanted list these days.
innit too small? beautiful watch but not for my wrist
Two 👍👍 for the T Shirt Jody.
I also bought the Baltany type A and sold my 38mm Bambino. I just didnt connect with the Bambino and I absolutely love the Baltany, especially the crystal.
Last year I picked up a Steinhart OVR and this year a San Martin "Ranger" with the gradient brown dial and jubilee. Absolutely fantastic watches.
I've always tried to keep "sell one, buy one" mentality to this hobby. Consistently keeping the count under 15. This year i've sold a few pieces and only kept the ones i really like to wear. I'm down to 4 pieces. Sumo, mm300, srp777 and a gshock
Wow...really surprised the Ginault was sold. I thought you'd always keep it as it was the watch that helped launch the channel.
Which page is the best to sell watches? Ebay? Craigslist? Facebook Market? Any other options? Thanks!
What’s the best platform online to sell Swiss watches vs Ali Chinese ones? I’m in Sydney Australia. Thanks
I'm the same, I find it impossible to sell anything!
Where do you sell your watches when not to a specific person? eBay ? Or?
NO RUSH, READ AT YOUR LEISURE (if at all)
Hi Jody
Michael Mugridge here. I have maybe 20 now some of which are
Ball caring 40mm and Ohio with what they call grey dial but which is a lovely cream colour with gold tone hands and indices.
The idea of a mystery gift sounds so appealing, but at the same time so risky! Feel free to update us when it arrives!
I consolidated my collection this year for a Moser. I have always loved that brand and it was the only way it was going to happen. No regrets! Currently own 7 watches that I bought myself with a few gift watches thrown in. Feels good to have a much smaller collection than years past
Wow! A Moser must have taken a lot of consolidation! I hope you love it mate, cheers!
Is the crystal the only problem with the Certina? Interested in vintage.
The glamour shots have really been on point lately! Nicely done with the camerawork!
Don't post lots, overwhelms potential buyers and you will get less cash.
@@VinceRegan much appreciated!!
@@VinceReganExcellent point!
Big collection. The overall budget could be used for a couple of great watches like a Rolex Submariner, IWC Ingenieur latest release, Tudor Pelagos 39, Omega Speedmaster, JLC Memovox, etc.
Wouldn't do me much good mate!
Cheers!
Buying year Zelo Macko Orange / 3 Seiko 5 / 3 Pagani / Seestern / 2 Steedive / 2 Orient / 2 Invicta Pro Diver (dont judge) / Victorinox Airboss / Tissot PRX Tif Blue / Islander Bayport Ghost because we all need a white dial right .... the collection is growing thanks for all the great vidoes on watches us regular guys can afford / keep up the great work
Where do you sell them?
I got a Casio F-105W to find out whether I can wear a digital and then s GW-M5610U after finding I could. Soon I realised it's too close to my Casioak, but it's not as big, it has better display and solar multiband, so the Casioak went to my brother. If the situation was a bit more stable, I'd get a diver, we'll see.
I love how specific you were with how long you've stopped wearing Vostoks.
I'm interested through which selling site did you use to sell the 30 watches last week? What is your preference? Ebay? Chrono? FB? etc..
I sell and buy a lot on a closed Aussie FB group.
Jody hi! I get it. As long as you kept the Casios!
I see "Matter" on the shelf behind you... Love me some Banks sci-fi. Fun vid. I should probably think about getting rid of some of mine 😬
Can you please remind us where you sell most of your watches? Good & brave clear-out. I'm selling a few of the "don't or have never worns" this year. Bought a couple of Ali Ex watches for the first time.
How do you sell used watches? Ebay?
Where did you advertise the watches on?
I have 6 and struggle to motivate myself to wear them all over time 😄. I think 3 of them get about 75% of wrist time in a 12 month period. I do like them all though, so won’t be reducing the collection!
Not surprised. I am debating buying that Chronomaster, and I could see it having a similar effect on me. Can't wait to hear about your microbrand. Any idea when you might have more to say?
I need to be more ruthless with my collection. I have sold quite a few on my website, but every time I sell one I end up getting another three to replace it 🤦♂️😆
I need to set aside a day to list a lot of them I think.
How about a video on how to market and where to sell ones watches? Thanks for the great content.
I did the same (a Mido, baltany, San Martin, 3 vintage Seikos, orient star). Added 2 Casios after that.. could not resist.
Have you made a video about your process for selling watches?
I really need to sell some of the about 250 watches I have collected but am kind of afraid of the hassle and potential scam from someone if I try and sell. So alas, I sit on way too many watches to wear and have started giving some away to family and to a waiter who was moving away from a sushi place I frequent several times a month. I guess I just need to be brave and take the selling plunge!
Folks, what platform do you recommend for selling watches? Any insights appreciated, I want to sell but I haven’t a clue how to start😮
The Pagani Speedy with the black Tachy scale is better looking as the numbers on the scale sit correct unlike the red scale version which do not. Model is the PD-1701.
What is the model number of the first G-shock in the video, the Tough solar Bluetooth 56?
My collection is pretty small and I'm thinking of selling a couple off to raise funds for another (more expensive watch). Last year, I bought quite a few, but this year I've only bought one, a Rado Diastar Original (a new one), which strangely I love and wear all of the time. I seem to be downsizing and consolidating, next watch will probably be a nice diver or something sporty like a nice chronograph. I'm interested in your thoughts on that Xeric though! Hated them at first, but they are kind of growing on me....
This year budget around a 1000. Bought a Casioak GM2100 silver and a Tissot Prx Ice Blue version.
Sold a Zelos Hammerhead.
So when do we organize an intervention for the Oris 65 problem?
Morning Jody were do you sell your watches, I want a clear out but the selling process puts me off?
Hi Jody, mainly thanks to you, I am a big fan of you.... i like your speaking style fair reviews and following you since many years...
I’m in the process of cutting down my collection as we speak! I sold off a Formex, an Orient, and a Junghans since I wasn’t wearing any of them. Still have to sell off two Seikos and two other micro brands.
Bought a Casio W800H as an 'emergency' watch when a Citizen Titanium Tough 40mm chewed up its winder seal on holiday and it's just so easily read, accurate and no hassle it's made most of my collection shelf bound.....paid a whole €18 for it.......
doing a lot of 2 for 1 and 3 for 1 consolidations over here, going from the 30+ to hopefully less than 10 that I really, really love.
What did you put the Blue Omega AT on?
what would be SUPER interesting would be the average gain/loss you’ve made on all of the watches together!
Absolutely! That is the Elephant in this room!
Last count was 52 watches, One for each week of the year.
Time for a major cull from 4 full watch boxes down to two. 😢
How much money have you lost so far?
Just got me a San Martin SN0107-G "Ranger". See you sold it, you are going to miss it! My other watch is the Pulsar 2001 Quartz. V103-6059 A2 550061. Don't care it cost me only €5,- on the flee market, and I had to buy a NATO for it, it is just a great watch, very elegant even.
That was a surprise... The Citizen Chronomaster being one of your faves. Nice watch.
Hello Jody, I just finished watching your interview on the “Scottish Watch” podcast….I’m even a bigger fan now!
I’ve got my 299.00 US dollars set aside when you are ready to take orders…per Star Trek….Live Long and Prosper!…lol
Thansk Scott! Won't be long now mate..... 🖖
Thanks for the video. Where do you sell your watches, particularly the less expensive ones?
I sell on a closed Facebook group here in Australia. Good people!
@@JustOneMoreWatch Thanks. I’d be interested a video about where/how to sell watches online (sites other than yours, of course) and think other followers of yours would be too.
J'ai bien hâte de voir votre nouvelle collection. Bonne chance Jody!
Aww! I was looking forward to seeing how you modified the Steel Dive.
Oh well.
Where do you sell them
Last year was my intro into properly collecting, I bought probably 15 over the course of the second half of the year.
