You most likely have something hosting you. A word of advice, you will get dreams in where you're relapsing or sinning in any other way. It is not you, but the enemy. Right when you wake up say: I ask to be cleansed, sanctified, and justified by the blood of Jesus. You must also rebuke all evil spirits in His name.

And what's bad is they (the churches) don't teach it today but they will give classes for addictions when it's too late. I know what addiction is about. I tried to put together a class for the youth to teach and PREVENT them from going down that road but the church was content not to. Statistics now group about 75% of the youth and half the church congregation has a form of sexual addiction. When I read proverbs as a man I asked why didn't anyone ever teach me this before I destroyed my life?!!!! Why do the churches refuse to put in place a preventative program for the youth?
Yes. Unfortunately, the body of Christ was consumed with legalism, good works, rules, rituals, and traditions. And there were things that weren't modeled, shown, or taught in the past. It's sad that many churches today only tell us what we want to hear, not what we need to hear. Church groups need to help stop these problems before the problems get out of control. And it helps if the believer realizes they are in sin and confesses it before it gets out of hand. I agree with all of you. We need more Pastors like Paul Washer.
Hello please let me share my short testimony. August of 2020 I was not in church I was a backslider for many many years from God and the truth of the gospel of Christ. The Summer of 2020 on a trip to Utah and Colorado with two other homosexual friends, God looked down in mercy on me. The two friends I had suddenly felt they had to cut the trip short so they left me alone. After they had gone, I started to feel Gods Spirit dealing with me after many many years of backsliding away from Him. Over the course of a few weeks, I finally knelt down in the mountains outside of Aspen CO and prayed and repented from my heart from my sins. God drew the backslider back to Him first in love and then secondly I felt the strongest conviction ever in my life I come over me I cried tears I knew I was wrong and NOT right. Since then going on to approaching 4 years I am free TOTALLY free from immorality and homosexuality and drugs and cursing and all the darkness that was in me back then, by the power of God and the blood of Jesus Christ my Lord. Jesus is REAL he can set us free if we truly want it. He’s coming again these are the last days. Live for Him daily not just on Sundays at church. May God bless you.
I too, took a solo trip to Colorado in August 2020. I felt a tug on my heart to venture out on my own for the first time to an unfamiliar place. I was tempted by weed dispensaries and one night stands via dating apps but I knew it was Christ who called me out there and I wanted to remain obedient. I was struggling with unbelief. I took a drive to Rocky Mountain park and as I approached I couldn’t see the snow cap mountains that I desired to see because of smoke from west coast wildfires. In that moment, God whispered to my heart “even though you can’t see them, you know they are there”. I came home with a new heart, transformed by the grace of God made possible by the blood of Christ. Born again. Hallelujah

Replacing ancient religion & mythology & superstition with reason leads to another conclusion. Leaving religions that use condemnation & ridicule for control, can be the first step in becoming a true human being minus any imposed or fabricated guilt. There exist many variations of human sexual expression as well in the animal kingdom. When you leave various ancient religious beliefs behind & chose knowledge based in research, you can see & understand the true nature of humanity. You leave ignorance, hatred, & prejudice behind. In the book Gay Straight & the Reason Why by Simon Levay PhD, explanations regarding this aspect of humanity are clearly explained & is based on research. While I am not gay, I highly recommend this book & the numerous articles. Being gay is no more of a sin than having red hair. They are both determined by genetics & clearly not a sin. I’ll be 42 in march and I’ve been porn free since 2019 August. I started young I relapsed 3 times before I finally stopped so it’s been 5 years. God’s help and mercy, patience helps. I’ll pray over you. I know your pain. Yes I still get the urge but not like the way it used to be.

Give yourself wholly to God's word ( I got this tip from a John Piper Sermon). Sometimes we think about what we have to do. Gods word is powerful enough to do the work in any life that desires it and is saturated with it. this sounds cliché, but it works.
What you are doing wrong is depending on an imaginary being to help you to be free from it. All I did was to tell myself that it is STUPID and that I had BETTER THINGS to do with my TIME. How I wish back then what I know about God and how much living by his ways and reading the bible could solve so many problems. I know now how I will teach my kids to follow the lords way so they don’t have to suffer too much like I did. I grew up going to church as a chore. Now little by little, ik it’s a relationship. Porn addiction is real. It affects you, and those around you. You start looking for the things you see in porn in your own sexual life. It’s hard and I’ve dealt with this for years trying to break free from it.
Please pray over the past of your future spouse. If you marry a spouse who was wounded in the past and they did not went through healing it will at one point effect your marriage. Especially when you spouse has been sexual active before the marriage.

One pastor once told the church to look down at your feet when you are tempted to fall into sexual sin. If you look away from the person it becomes harder to sin with them. Didn’t think that was a genuine response to sexual sin in the church.

If it is any image that will cause you to sin then pray immediately and go on a fast. There could be a soul tie with that person, you have to read and fast to break that. How to build strong faith?: to build strong faith, you must first know who you have faith in, we have faith and we believe in our Lord Jesus Christ, He is God, the maker of heaven and earth and everything thing in it. This is the first step, second is to know the power he holds. His power is limitless. The reason why I said this, is because people lose faith in difficult moments, it is easy to believe in Jesus in good time, but in tough times, people wonder if God is present or if He exists. So to overcome this, is to know the scripture, if there is something that helps to maintain our faith in the Lord it is the scripture. For example in tough time you might remember Psalm 23:4 or you might recall Isaiah 43:2. This increases your faith in times of trouble as well as in good times. So if you want to build strong faith, know Jesus very well and His power, read the scripture very often, and ask the Lord to be filled with the Holy Spirit. 2. For the question of how to not betray God: the answer lies in practicing his presence. If you want to stop sinning, practice the presence of God. Know that his eyes and ears are on you always. He sees what you do, he hears what you say, even the whispers of the heart, he hears. Another thing, Love your God more than anything and more than anyone, in this case you cannot betray someone you love deeply! Hope this helps!
To be free from sexual immorality is to be given to the word of God and prayer. Don't wait till the temptation comes be continually occupied with the word of God and prayers, that is mortifying(putting to death) your sinful nature! I had lived in bondage to Porno and masturbations for decades(even though I was church going all the while) and I've realised that the word of God and prayers can take you away from sin or you can continue to allow sin to take you away from God's holy words and fervent prayers. And what's bad is they (the churches) don't teach it today but they will give classes for addictions when it's too late. I know what addiction is about. I tried to put together a class for the youth to teach and PREVENT them from going down that road but the church was content not to. Statistics now group about 75% of the youth and half the church congregation has a form of sexual addiction. When I read proverbs as a man I asked why didn't anyone ever teach me this before I destroyed my life?!!!! Why do the churches refuse to put in place a preventative program for the youth?
Yes. Unfortunately, the body of Christ was consumed with legalism, good works, rules, rituals, and traditions. And there were things that weren't modeled, shown, or taught in the past. It's sad that many churches today only tell us what we want to hear, not what we need to hear.
Church groups need to help stop these problems before the problems get out of control. And it helps if the believer realizes they are in sin and confesses it before it gets out of hand.

Hello please let me share my short testimony. August of 2020 I was not in church I was a backslider for many many years from God and the truth of the gospel of Christ. The Summer of 2020 on a trip to Utah and Colorado with two other homosexual friends, God looked down in mercy on me. The two friends I had suddenly felt they had to cut the trip short so they left me alone. After they had gone, I started to feel Gods Spirit dealing with me after many many years of backsliding away from Him. Over the course of a few weeks, I finally knelt down in the mountains outside of Aspen CO and prayed and repented from my heart from my sins. God drew the backslider back to Him first in love and then secondly I felt the strongest conviction ever in my life I come over me I cried tears I knew I was wrong and NOT right. Since then going on to approaching 4 years I am free TOTALLY free from immorality and homosexuality and drugs and cursing and all the darkness that was in me back then, by the power of God and the blood of Jesus Christ my Lord. Jesus is REAL he can set us free if we truly want it. He’s coming again these are the last days. Live for Him daily not just on Sundays at church. May God bless you.

I too, took a solo trip to Colorado in August 2020. I felt a tug on my heart to venture out on my own for the first time to an unfamiliar place. I was tempted by weed dispensaries and one night stands via dating apps but I knew it was Christ who called me out there and I wanted to remain obedient. I was struggling with unbelief. I took a drive to Rocky Mountain park and as I approached I couldn’t see the snow cap mountains that I desired to see because of smoke from west coast wildfires. In that moment, God whispered to my heart “even though you can’t see them, you know they are there”. I came home with a new heart, transformed by the grace of God made possible by the blood of Christ. Born again. Hallelujah

truth If you are wondering about the question of whether your sexuality is a sin or not, I welcome you to consider the following thoughts for clarification. Let’s look at some basic fundamental facts based on extensive research & ongoing R&D. During fetal development a verity of biochemical agents are introduced which determine the development of the fetus. Research has shown that major agents such as testosterone & estrogen & a host of others agents determine size, weight, hair color, eye color & sexuality along with a host of other traits. Variations in the amount & timing of the introduction of these agents have a major effect in development. The fetus is a passive participant & has no influence in these matters. Sexuality, for example, & all other secondary traits are thus given to us. Well, this begs the question, is homosexuality a sin since there is no choice offered. The fetus has no willful acceptance. However, if your religion or belief system states that it is a sin, then there can be no discussion. These are the rules based on this system’s dogma. If you accept this system, you must accept the rules. Facts are irrelevant. This is your only choice which doesn’t include options & exceptions. Rules are rules!
If, however, you are in a belief system based on logic, reason, observation & common sense, & no reliance on spirituality or religion, the conclusion is totally different. Replacing ancient religion & mythology & superstition with reason leads to another conclusion. Leaving religions that use condemnation & ridicule for control, can be the first step in becoming a true human being minus any imposed or fabricated guilt. There exist many variations of human sexual expression as well in the animal kingdom. When you leave various ancient religious beliefs behind & chose knowledge based in research, you can see & understand the true nature of humanity. You leave ignorance, hatred, & prejudice behind. In the book Gay Straight & the Reason Why by Simon Levay PhD, explanations regarding this aspect of humanity are clearly explained & is based on research. While I am not gay, I highly recommend this book & the numerous articles. Being gay is no more of a sin than having red hair. They are both determined by genetics & clearly not a sin. There is nothing wrong with you. This is the true choice. Peace

One thing that has helped me break free from porn, confess your exact thought process in the process of your sin to God. It is extremely embarrassing and humiliating but you will receive true forgiveness and freedom
One pastor once told the church to look down at your feet when you are tempted to fall into sexual sin. If you look away from the person it becomes harder to sin with them. Didn’t think that was a genuine response to sexual sin in the church.
What if the person’s image is constantly appearing in your thoughts? How do you deal with that?
@@kolaade1275 we need to take control of what we see, hear, read etc. seek God for the honest reason if it is not a lustful or perverted image. If it is any image that will cause you to sin then pray immediately and go on a fast.
There could be a soul tie with that person, you have to read and fast to break that. Speak God’s word over your mind and cast out, down, burn every alter against you. Walk In peace with your past, forgive self and others so you know that is not the reason you see someone from your past.

This transformation occurs through the renewal of our minds, the mortification of sin, & the empowering of the Holy Spirit within us. Unlike justification, sanctification is gradual & progressive. Our minds & thought lives don’t automatically get renewed when we are saved.
Also note that the spiritual warfare that occurs during sanctification is intense because our minds still retain our old ways of thinking…believing lies, remembering trauma, & reacting habitually. Sanctification can only take place through Christ! We are called to be absolutely perfect, matching the perfection of our heavenly Father. Every aspect of our being should align with God’s ways, including our deepest thoughts. The Greek word used in the verse of Matthew 5:48, “teleios”, conveys a sense of maturity, completeness, or attaining a goal. In this context, the goal is to meet God’s standard, not simply settle for human morality. A follower of Christ cannot take an attitude of “I’m good enough.” In obeying the command to be perfect as your heavenly Father is perfect, we cannot lean on our own righteousness, which falls far short. We must rely on Christ and the working of the Holy Spirit within us. “Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit,’ says the Lord Almighty” (Zechariah 4:6). God bless you 🙏

Thank you for asking these questions here are the answers that might help you.
How to build strong faith?: to build strong faith, you must first know who you have faith in, we have faith and we believe in our Lord Jesus Christ, He is God, the maker of heaven and earth and everything thing in it. This is the first step, second is to know the power he holds. His power is limitless. The reason why I said this, is because people lose faith in difficult moments, it is easy to believe in Jesus in good time, but in tough times, people wonder if God is present or if He exists. So to overcome this, is to know the scripture, if there is something that helps to maintain our faith in the Lord it is the scripture.
For example in tough time you might remember Psalm 23:4 or you might recall Isaiah 43:2. This increases your faith in times of trouble as well as in good times. So if you want to build strong faith, know Jesus very well and His power, read the scripture very often, and ask the Lord to be filled with the Holy Spirit.
2. For the question of how to not betray God: the answer lies in practicing his presence. If you want to stop sinning, practice the presence of God. Know that his eyes and ears are on you always. He sees what you do, he hears what you say, even the whispers of the heart, he hears. Another thing, Love your God more than anything and more than anyone, in this case you cannot betray someone you love deeply! Hope this helps!

To be free from sexual immorality is to be given to the word of God and prayer. Don't wait till the temptation comes be continually occupied with the word of God and prayers, that is mortifying(putting to death) your sinful nature! I had lived in bondage to Porno and masturbations for decades(even though I was church going all the while) and I've realised that the word of God and prayers can take you away from sin or you can continue to allow sin to take you away from God's holy words and fervent prayers. Death and life are indeed in the power of your tongue as the Bible says, so as Christians we need to use the power to achieve LIFE.🙏🏽
