- Christmas indeed is a BIG day in the Philippines, so my friends and I decided to celebrate a very PINOY Christmas party in Korea! I hope you guys enjoy the rest of the day of Christmas with you loved ones. 💖
I'm so sorry to hear about the Typhoon Odette disaster in the Philippines. Its aftermath is so severe that many Filipino families may not be able to have enough food on their table. This is very saddening because as I've mentioned, Christmas is a big day and it's supposed to be celebrated with only happiness and joy; not fear and anxiety. I am deeply saddened and my heart is broken. 🥺 I'll keep praying for the victims and do everything I can to help. My heart is with you. 💖

Noche Buena literally means Good Night, pertaining to the Christmas Eve. There's also Media Noche and it's on New Year's Eve, literally means Midnight.

Hahaha, that's really hilarious when you told momo that the red part of queso de bola is wax. I remembered when I was a kid and first time that my mom served it queso de bola on our noche buena, I was really curious about it so I tasted it and also eat the the red outer layer, and told my mom it doesn't have taste. My mom said you don't eat it, it's wax. I just uttered to my mom, "what???!!! I just ate a candle?" hahaha, that moment. I learned that the outer layer covering is somewhat to preserved the queso de bola protecting it to moisture and prevention of mold growth.
