I've wanted a pair of those forever!, Love the ambassador tumbled leather (have a pair of ambassador chelseas) and their way softer & easier to break-in than regular docs. And love the Awesome Chunkier Bex sole on the 101 you showed. I have the Embury Chelsea & Bonny boots with cool chunky soles and love the height and look. I wish docs would put a shank back in, never knew they did till your video! And they could use more arch support or padding Anyways loved your video😁
The Bonny boots look great, I would love to get my hands on a pair for a review. Also waiting as well for Martens to put the shank back in, that would greatly contribute to the comfort and durability of their boots 🙂 Unfortunately for them, I also prefer the arch support that "proper" boots feature, and indeed padding would be greatly appreciated 😅 Glad you liked the review and thanks for sharing your thoughts! ✌️
I paid $180+ for a pair with the distressed leather. Omg! There was a ridge seam where the tongue was attached. Ugh! I swear they weren't there when I tried them on. After wearing them for trucking for a couple weeks, the cumulative bloody wounds across the top of my foot... agonizing boots to wear! It used to be that quality and comfort was dependent on how much one spent. Not these days. Plus, the sole said slip resistant and oil resistant. Um, not so much. Particularly, after the sole is in freezing temps. Omg! Its like plastic on ice and I fell a lot with these damn things! In and around areas with oil... just wear knee pads and wrist guards. Because Docs sucked a55! Very spendy with the quality of.... well, that seam that made itself known within weeks 1 & 2, reminds me of some apprenctice who idiotically and lazily skipped a step in boot construction. I just wore mine before I started working for 1-2 hours per day. They were cool looking at first. But they went from cool to despised and they were dropped in a dumpster one day. My feet bled into the leather. So, if anybody found 'em, it looks like a nghtmare happened inside. I give Doc's a big fat -1 million out of 5 stars. I have scars from that fiasco!
Given your experience with these, seems to me that you need a more technical pair of boots with, of course, more comfort, rather than a pair of street fashion boots, that which Martens became today. I am not such a boot-head myself, but I prefer practical things, not fashionable ones, and when the push comes to shove, I wear mountain hiking boots all around. My friends laugh at me "where did you come down from, man?" but I don't care. They are comfortable, synthetic, lightweight, padded, durable. But that's just my craziness that I wanted to share, hoping that maybe will help some folks around here 😅 Or not 😅 Either way, thanks for sharing your experience ✌️
@@igiveyousnkrs These were labeled as work boots. They were in the section with the wolverine, caterpillar, etc. I didnt need a composite or steel toe. Whether boots are for work or not does not mean that the construction of a boot should tear a person's feet up bloody. Who the f*ck wears fashion boots trucking? So, nice job assuming man.

Do you prefer the bex sole to the Original?
