If you are still looking for a pinkish dark brown to make up for KWZ Brown pink, I recently tried J. Herbin Cacao Du Brésil and I really really like it 💕 it's is definitely darker than Don Quixote but it is fairly dry so you end up with a really nice shading that I'm very much enjoying.
Please be careful using white lightning I Highly recommend using a tooth pick to add to the cartridge or converter cause it will make the ink so wet it will feather and bleed through everything if you add it to a sample you could ruin the sample. If the ink that sticks to the back of the converter and even after shaking doesn't come out This is when to use the White Lightning cause otherwise it may ruin your read back ability I dont know any paper that holds this substance well when added to an ink so thats why I recommend using a tooth pick to poke the tooth pick into the eyedropper and then into a cartridge converter if you ruin the converters worth its not so bad but a sample or a bottle I'm frugal I think all ink should be used even a drop could be made into beautiful ink painting :)
It’s funny you mentioned liking purple inks - I’ve never really been into purple ink in standard pens but for some reason I love them in my fountain pens! I enjoy purples, mauves, and rose shades a lot. I may need to pick up more samples haha.
@@Chickens_and_Pens awww yes! I'm still here!! Just waiting on summer to get here! I found it difficult to make vids while I was working (I'm a teacher)! I also have a new cam setup so hopefully it'll make it easier to make videos as well! I'm active on Instagram a lot too! 😍
I really do love these. I have recently bought a full bottle of the kujung gak, the don quiote, and the ume murisaki. These are all inspired by you! LOVE these colors
Ohhh these colors are so good!! I am so glad you got Don Quixote. Those Colorverse ones are so nice, especially the Sgi. I will be putting those on my wish list.
Love your collection--and now I am craving several of those Colorverse inks, esp. Pillars of Creation and Mystic Mountain. And Opportunity. And Shiny Black. Gorgeous!
Great video. Also like that Vanness has 4 ml. samples. Wish more companies would do that. So many varieties coming out all the time that it's impossible to buy full bottles. Also got another green sample which I like -- Kyo-no-oto 08 Moegiiro.
I like Taccia inks, but they don’t seem to expand their color palette with the enthusiasm of Wearingeul. Ferris Wheel Press, Robert Oster, etc. C’com Taccia (and Kyo no oto) throw out some new inks!
VannessPens is an awesome store. My family’s been loyal customers for decades. I go shop in person every time I go back home too.
I can confirm that Jane Eyre looks good in EF nibs 😃
Yes!!! This is why we are friends. 🥰
😆🩷👍

Ooh great suggestion!

Thank you for this! I'll be extremely frugal and careful with white lightning!
Love the Rhodia paper swatch idea!

Funny how our colour tastes change depending on where we see them or use them!
I've really enjoyed my recent wearingeul inks. I love your ink swatch videos! Keep 'em coming! 🎉
Thank you so much! They are some of my favourite videos to do!
Holy fire scribble! I’ve been looking for you waiting for a new video! So glad to see you comment here and hope all is well!! God bless!

I'm tempted to get full bottles of all those!
Jane Eyre is one of my favourite books, and purple is my favourite colour. I have been itching to get a bottle of that ink!
It is such a good colour!!
Love when you do ink haul/swatching vids.....its usually means I am about to add to my own vanness order 😅
I am nothing if not an enabler. 😂
As a newbie to fountain pens, this was so informative and fun to watch. I’ll def check out that website! Cheers to the new year💜
Glad this was helpful!

It's a new favourite, that Don Quixote!
@@KarynaLovesToPlan I used it last month but this month went with Pennsylvania Fieldstone but I may be inking it up again next month.

Those are all amazing! Colorverse have such a great range!

PenChalet do 4ml samples! But not as great selection as Vaness. And another ink to add to my list!
OMG. I love these australis tea circles. Such lovely color separation and shading. I wonder if this was legible in a pen ...
Ok, I love both greens. On my list they go.
I really need a good brown ink…loving all the purples though 💜
Brown is tough - I do like Pilot Iroshizuku Tsukushi but it does have a bit of green sheen.

Lucy is like I dont know ? I'm so glad you liked Nakamurasaki I think that you might also like Umemurasaki
She's such a critic, that Lucy! I don't need bottles of Ume Murasaki or Naka Murasaki... I don't need bottles of those... 🤣
@@KarynaLovesToPlan You keep telling yourself that 😆
Have you tried Ferris Wheel Press Lady Rose? If not it really looks like a dusty pink!
I have tried it but it was a bit too light for me! I do have Lady Rose in Gold, the one with the shimmer!
I noticed PaperPlusCloth has Opera Rose back in stock and I immediately thought of you, wondering if a bottle fell into your cart 😉
I got the notification - and saw it was actually cheaper (by $6 CAD) to get it from St Louis Art Supply! But I did end up buying it!
@@KarynaLovesToPlan win-win, yay!!
😇🩷🙏🙌
Ama iro = sky color
Thank you!
Don Quixote is pronounced like ‘key shot’ 😊
Alright, according to who? Most if not all references pronounce the name ˌdän kēˈhōdē which is how I pronounced it.
