Just loved the` bloopers` Bill . Try lifting a whisky glass (full ) with the right arm ,,,i find that`s a good cure for anything 😂😂😂😂👍👍 All the best for 2024 and keep the updates coming
Your new layout is coming on nicely. The teak coaches could look a lot better by smearing coloured varnish on them then rub off any on glazing or text/numbers. I tried it with an old tin which unfortunately didn't have a label, It took just a few minutes per coach as I couldn't be bothered to remove the glazing and was delighted with the result. You can see the coaches on my Saltspring Railway RUclips vids. PS Your repair vids encouraged me to tackle my misbehaving engines with good results. Thanks. PPS 'No ox id' is a grease you apply very sparingly to clean track and wheels. Let it work its magic, bonding on a molecular level, then remove the excess. The trains run beautifully for months if not years!
Absolutely love this channel.Rekindled my passion for renovating dead locos.Started with the Trix Mallard which was a gem of a video I would have been lost without it.Would love to see videos unedited videos as I'm sure we can all relate to the fruity language and the knocking things onto the floor,my latest craze is nutting myself on the rafters(I don't even react anymore).Looking forward to this years videos and hopefully some more Scots phrases.I love "jiggerry faffery".

A newish subscriber, and I usually just watch and not comment. However, glad to hear that Mrs Bill is on the mend. Ligament damage...I can totally sympathise with you there. I had ruptured tendons in my right shoulder cuff, along with a long standing broken first right rib. Surgery has helped. I've got better movement, but no strength. Like your comments regarding putting up the shelving. I put a new latch on the back gate. I simply don't have the strength to drive the screws flush to the wood..... Looking forward to watching your videos in 2024, Thanks for all you've brought us this year 👍. Wishing you and Mrs Bill a happy and healthy 2024.

I can empathise with the affects of wear and tear caused by the ticking of time. I smacked my thumb against a wall, no break, it took months to heal. I invested in a good electric screwdriver as it was impossible to use a manual one.... Ho hum. All the best and a happy Hogmanay
Hi Bill. I had exactly the same problem with my J27 and that certainly wasn't second hand as it had been on pre-order for about three years and arrived within a few days of the general release. Poor QC by Oxford Rail which was a shame because it is such a nice model at a very good price. Like you I repaired the offending pick ups and it runs very well. Great video as ever. All the best.
Your bloopers were very funny and remind me of my own. Most who do not produce videos have no idea what effort goes into producing videos. Good of you to share with your fellow videographers 🤣

It's interesting hearing about your experience with Oxford Rail. My only Oxford locomotive is an ex-Great Eastern N7. It was fine when I first got it but it soon started to run badly and then stopped altogether. I took it apart and tested everything but could find nothing obvious and when I put it back together it ran, but not for long. This time when I checked everything, the motor refused to run. I had heard that obtaining spares from Oxford wasn't easy but looking on RMWeb suggested that a motor from Tramfabriek would be an ideal replacement. I ordered one which arrived very promptly and turned out to be very straightforward to fit. The locomotive now runs perfectly. It has certainly made me wary of buying any other Oxford locomotive.

I had to sell one of my motorbikes in 2021 because it was getting to heavy to handle. Not looking forwards to crawling under baseboards when I come to build my new layout. Hi, Bill,. I have watched a lot of your excellent videos (with built in sense of humour) which have been a great deal of help with my own locos. I have one request. Is it possible for you to specify the Manufacturers model number when you get theses locos for repair, assuming it's readily to hand.. Obviously the same model might have 2 or 3 different drive mechanisms over time and it would help me and maybe others to home in on those models we ourselves have and which need, or might need in future, some TLC. Thanks a lot.

Hi Bill ,, I hope your Christmas was good for you and your family. Gettin old certainly sucks hey ,, haha .. I have certainly noticed it for myself too m8. Im a 56 yo in a 22 yo brain that still thinks the body is still 22 too haha I only have to sneeze the wrong way and it feels like ive popped a rib haha. But i will admit im a pro at gettin down on the ground but its the gettin up which is the problem nowadays hahha ,, I luv ya blooper reels as there great to see and goes to show me that were all humans and we all makes mistakes. You should do a whole 20 or 30 minute reel of bloopers for us to watch and enjoy ,, and laugh too hahaha ... Anyhoo have a happy new year and look forward to you new videos in the future. I had the same problem with my brand new J27 - needed quite a bit of tweaking to get the pickups just right. Apart from that they are lovely locos. I got a set of the West Highland coaches earlier this year too (in a train pack with a class 20) - looks great especially with a TTA tank wagon on the back.
I got Oxford rail coaches and wagons. I got a set of 4 mk3 coaches from Scotrail pushpull and wagons are two R taylor plank wagons and one briggs tanker from Dundee
I hurt my shoulder over a year ago slipping on a sand dune. It was finally diagnosed as Tendonitis. and I go for weekly physio but it is a slow process

Great video nice to see a oxford rail loco in your fleet sadly some are bad the adams radial tank came first all have problems then the gwr dean goods they are ,uch better but a few were a tad iffy then oxford did the lner n7 tank highly suggest you get one real gem then the j27 they are good sound locos but some have crank pins not tightened properly when oxford rail came out it seems they were partly owned by hornby and now fully owned by hornby still waiting for the lner j26 should be good hope you have a great new year all the best to your family and the wee doggies

Good luck, Bill. I loved the bloopers and accidents, as it makes it all the more natural. I have plenty of these, one of the worst was knocking an entire length of an HST set on to the floor. See you in 2024.

Problem was mk3 coaches are bumping or bounce from couplings and one r taylor open plank and briggs tanker have broken coupling
