Thank you so much for this video , I've been searching all around the web just to finally find your video , so much of a help needed was found in this vid , THANK YOU SO MUCH , best regards for you and your channel 🎉
RUclipsr to the rescue again! THANKS for this straightforward how-to!🙏🙏🚗🚗
Thanks a million man. Spent $30 buying the new fuel line and only took about 45minutes to change it. Saved a lot of money. 💪🏾
Where did you purchase it ?
Mate UR A Life Saver 👍👍👍👍
This method worked like a charm for me on my mk5 golf. Thank you so much for the video. The only problem I had is the replacement fuel hose I ordered was about an inch too long so couldn't get it to fit properly. Need to order another one!
Is this the supply line next to the one with the blue clip ?? Thanks for taking the time to upload the vid, much appreciated
Your truly awesome. You saved me ALOT of time & money.👍👍👍👍
Excellent that helped me a lot used the same technique to replace the bodged fuel line on my Audi A3.
I've noticed fuel dripping from around the fuel filter area when parked after driving. I've had the car for about 5 years. I hope it's the supply line you swapped here and not the one that goes to the front I ordered a new filter but starting to realize the likely hood of the actual filter leaking is probably slim. Jacking it up to take look today.
Thank you so much for the tutorial/guide!!!
I did it too... With great difficulty
The clips are easily broke it seems . I used a small scribe to push in the clips and I broke one as well . I have broken more clips on this car then any other vehicle I have worked on . It's frustrating, sigh . I'm just gonna leave mine zip tied and to hell with it .
same here! my 2006 mk5 r32 fights me on everything i touch, compared to other cars i've owned. But i love it
very usefull, i asume the Mk5 GTI has the same space between tank and chasis? by that i mean that i could easily pull the fuel line up the same way on my mk5?
I would assume so, but I am not 100% sure. I know that the mk5 and mk6 and pretty similar as far as build so I would say yes.
Great video. Do you happen to have a part number for the new pipe? I'm looking for one for a MK2 Leon Cupra (Same chassis/engine as S3, GTi etc.
Why tie a string when you remove it
That was the supply line right? and the return line was the one that's a little higher.
Why don’t they make the clips come off abit easier
I image when they are brand new they come off easy. But years of road grime and dirt get inside and fuck shit up
Why did you replace the whole line instead of just the clip? Either by taking the clip from the new line, or by buying the clip from for example dorman?
Are the clips sold separately?
@@mphozatebza Not by volkswagen, but you can find them on aliex or from amazon usa
Hi
What’s the part number ?
I would have just cut the old connector off, got a small length of rubber tubing and 2 jubilee clips. Then connect the fuel line to the filter and tighten up the clips. But if you want originality then you do you
Does this really work? Won't the rubber tuning degrade faster overtime?
