OMG, I am Super Happy to have named your Pet Heifer. Looking forward to seeing more of her Devilment as she grows up. Thanks Adrian & Alena. Ye have made my day!!! Safe Farming!!
Great content, always enjoy!! My father immigrated to NZ from Holland when he was 21, his first farm boss was an Irishman & hearing you say "sig sig" to your calves brings a smile to my face as you can imagine a green dutchman picking up on all things in the english language he has said the same thing to calves throughout his farming life. Keep up the great work & greetings from NZ 👍
That’s great to hear Simon, ya in Ireland we kind on come up with our own way of saying things and although it’s a small country each county has it own individual types of words or “saying” as we call it. 🤣🙈
My first ever day at slurry was on Wednesday and the contractor I'm working for fell into our slurry tank I found him and had to pull him out very lucky man to be alive be safe at slurry everyone
Great vid. Adrian ...Yes it has been a cold June so far . Hope the rabbits are keeping their feet clean and the calves are behaving. take care see you next Sun.
On our farm we usually let out maybe 30 or 40 calves at a time and we have two fields by the yard with solid hedge and timber fences so the calves get used to a boundary and an electric fence not to be putting the in a field that they might think is a lot bigger that it is and risk having them run out
Enjoying watching you grafting away while lying in 32C beside a pool in Spain 😇😇😇😇. Feel free to swear at me Adrian. Even when I’m resting I’m keeping up with your busy life 😎
Hi Adrian, You must have been like Max Verstappen around the field if you were trying to get 1000G/acre. I've 5455 with dribble bar on my tanker and what i do when i come to hills is disengage the PTO and they should be enough pressure in tank to keep slurry flowing. I've do have a reduction kit from Mastek to put onto tanker this week to make life a little easier on 5455. i'll let you know how i get on
Great video I have a little bit of advice for u see when your mixing slurry I will always put her in the 1000 shaft and cut the revs back to 540 just to save a bit of fuel because it is so expensive this year 👍
My readers have added seed to slurry using the drain tap on the tanker and a hopper with a small hole above the pump. Coats each seed with natural fertiliser. One reader in somerset adds clover and grass seed to the cattle feed and has clover all over the place as a result! "Through the cow feeding" All in Practical Farm Ideas magazine
Always ran tanker in 540E pto but find with the dribble bar if ran in 540 ya can run your rpm slightly higher which will help with the power issue starting or on hills when masserator is on, some case tractors have a lower pto range again which would come in useful for this also,
That's got to be the best excuse I have heard for a mistake, but that's what I am going to tell my nephews now when I don't cut the grass on the fence line a rabbit track sounds better than it's full of old wire and stones
You Men Make Me Laugh You Have The Sniffles And You Call It FLU lol I Have Had FLU A Few Times When I Lived In The UK and I Was Bed Riden ( And I Am No BABY )So Sorry MATE You DO NOT HAVE THE FLU xx I LOVE YOUR VIDEOS BY THE WAY xx
Rabbit trails, yep sure, that's what I call them myself. Has nothing to do with the analog GPS loosing signal from one of the local satellites once in a while. Love the sarcasm is as thick as the slurry left in the bottom of the pit.
I heard of a man leaving gaps every so often when spreading slurry so the grass wouldn’t be to tall for the eletric fence when strip grazing Great video 👍🏼
Have you tried shutting the Hydraulic flow down on the Macerator to save a bit of power Adrian? We've got the same dribble bar and I find you don't have to have the macerator flying round internally to get it to still do a good job.
A wider dribblebar will allow u drive slower I have 12m mastek and 8km is 2000 gallon per acre 5km is 3500 per acre so no problem on hills even with full tanker The problem with standard 7.5m machine is u have to drive fast which is not possible on hills
Adrian your wife will need to spoil a man of your caliber your not easy to find I am sure she will know that herself, might be better if you don't tell her that Ha Ha, good bit of skipping in the back ground when you were penning up the calfs, its a great time when the young ones take an interest in farming, when we mist a section of grass we used to say it was to allow the grass room to spread other wise it would leave a big rough area in the field when it pushed against the rest of the grass buy the rabbit job works better, great video as usual your very professional at the job, good luck to you and your family
I'm on the 5th nc 3000 mixer and would not change to anything else ,the ease of hooking on and off is second to none ,if I'm moving tanks in the yard I never remove the pto shaft ,no need ,also I drive it on the 1000 speed pto no problem almost halving diesel consumption, p.s. Adrian the spring clip is missing on your hinge pin 👀
This is one of my top 3 videos of your channel. Especially the question of how to cut a sandwich properly is very important. Some here may have thought you were joking. Not correct! But also the clean stripe on the field for the rabbits is important and not funny.
With the dribble bar on do you find that there’s less to no birds in the field that you spread out on. I’m starting to find that there’s very little birds on my fields that’s been dribble bar then the field that has a splash plate.
Yet another cracking video Adrian and may I say that a farmer’s wife that can raise five lovely children and look after her man must be a Good’n if perhaps a bit dodgy with the sarnies . Good health to you and yours
That’s a 4 bay single tank that goes under the cubicles, it also goes out 6 foot on both sides past the end walls and is 8ft deep. That shed is quite width too so it holds a lot of stuff. I can get the full Measurements of the drawings if you need them Padraig. It was a great investment on the out farm.
Thanks for the video,it’s my only connection to farming is following you on I Farm we farm and Dale Farm In Darby England, And see catch up on instagram,is brill many many thanks,at the age of 70 not likely to be doing any more now.Cheers Adrian.
Just wondering have you ever tried adding grass seed or clover seed to the tank and spreading it, might experiment with it on the trail and shoe after the second cut
@@IFarmWeFarm Might drill a 10mm hole in the suction hose and add the seed gradually as the slurry tank fills bit more control. Just black tape up the hole then after worth a try anyway I suppose. Love the videos great honest reviews, especially like the spring tine video
Adrian, as an 🇺🇸, sometimes I struggles with your 🇮🇪 accent (😉). When you said you received a message about your wife, you used a word to describe her. What was that word? (Of course, I know you were teasing just for a laugh 😂) KUDOS for a great RUclips channel.
I just looking back at that to see what I said, can’t figure which part 🤔. If you pin point the exact part i will work it out Janet. Ya the Cavan Irish accent can be tricky i’m told 🤣🤣. Thank you
@@IFarmWeFarm It was at minute 8:03 just before you starting to eat your sandwich. It sounded like you said “SPITE”. Meaning your wife cut you sandwich straight across rather than at an angle, and she should know sandwiches taste better when cut into triangles (joking) 🤣

Ya had to run out a check that Gerard, another viewer spotted it earlier too. It was in deed missing which I never noticed. Well spotted lad, she’s on it now 👍
Your daughters are getting so big fast! Enjoy them while you can, they grow up in a blink of an eye. Your daughter is not loving the name, watch her scowl, and slight shake of the head no, lol.

I’ve heard of other people doing the same Nick, must be a right pain having to buy 2 pairs of wellies for each rabbit though 🤔

I’ll do that the next time to see how it works out, ya this diesel crack is a nightmare so ya I appreciate the tip lad 👍
That's fine but u need extra power to do this
My readers have added seed to slurry using the drain tap on the tanker and a hopper with a small hole above the pump. Coats each seed with natural fertiliser. Ya I run it at 540 which allows that extra rpm on the hills. 540E works perfect on the flatter fields
That's got to be the best excuse I have heard for a mistake, but that's what I am going to tell my nephews now when I don't cut the grass on the fence line a rabbit track sounds better than it's full of old wire and stones

I know a farmer doing that, so that the worms can escape being drowned by the slurry.
