Its impossible to hear a bad version of this song.. an all time great.. rip Bowie
David Bowie was the true genius! Always evolving himself over the decades!
@Maxine Moss sounds like a TikTok challenge 🤔
I n
E sti cazzi!
Great song!!!
Brilliant. I missed this thru work when it came out, but saw them at Leeds Uni in the autumn/winter of 1982, Having been a fan of Bowie for over a decade, I thought wtf? when they started playing it, but Danny's bass and Pete's vocals/stage presence totally changed my mind. Live, these guys were gold.
ah, how much i want to have lived during the postpunk/gothic period and see them (and many others) play live... you’re so lucky
David's bass. Danny played... "guitaarr!"
@@Albrecht777 Doh!!
@@Albrecht777 I see what you did there btw🤣
YESS Peter once yelled UNDEAD UNDEAD UNDEAD to my front row face!
The Original song from Bowie is every time the best. But the Bauhaus-Coversong is totally near to the original ... I think the best cover version from that song ... And Bauhaus is also one of the best Indie bands ever
Totally agree
I've still got this record on vinyl. I was crazy for it, probably as much I am for early Bowie.
The best Bauhaus Forever...🤘
🤘
Always loved this song , these guys actually do a great job!!
Oh
Oh, yeah
Ziggy played guitar
Jamming good with Weird and Gilly
And the Spiders from Mars
He played it left hand
But made it too far
Became the special man
Then we were Ziggy's band
Ziggy really sang
Screwed-up eyes and screwed-down hairdo
Like some cat from Japan
He could lick 'em by smiling
He could leave 'em to hang
They came on so loaded, man
Well-hung and snow-white tan
So where were the spiders
While the fly tried to break our bones?
With just the beer light to guide us
So we bitched about his fans
And should we crush his sweet hands?
Oh
Mm-hmm
Ziggy played for time
Jiving us that we were voodoo
The kids were just crass
He was the nazz
With God-given ass
He took it all too far
But, boy, could he play guitar
Making love with his ego
Ziggy sucked up into his mind, ah
Like a leper messiah
When the kids had killed the man
I had to break up the band
Oh, yeah
Ooh
Ziggy played guitar

Obra de arte !!!
From the musician stand point this is a difficult song to make work. And these guys,,, They pull it off.
Peter is a trip !! Lolol I love his Solo Stuff !! So Grown Up ! Lolol
Шикарно! Великолепно!🫶🖤
That bass tone
Fun performence
Perfecto
the very first "tribute" performance!
Brilliant.
WOAW
A note to a certain Mr Vanian, When your blessed with Pete Murphy's cheekbones then you don't have to dress like Bela Lugosi!!!
I love that he used to dress like a vampire lol but I get what you mean
Demais cover do bowie ficou dez
WOW !! THIS IS A TRIP !! NOT NECCESSARILY LIKE GOING TO MARS MIND YOU LOLOL
❤️💯👌🥂
Spiders from mars
Did they just lipsync for TOTP?

Clearly lip synched but all bands did it back then. Still, a flawless and perfect cover of a great song. Love Bauhaus
Could this have been... at least in part... a rare TOTP live performance? It sounds (and looks) like it.
if you listen to the single it’s exactly the same, vocals and background. they may have recorded to single live or intended it to sound “live” though.
There is no way this was live... its synced like EVERY TOTP in the 80's... maybe even the 90's...
@@StrategyInformer-sjgold It is patently untrue that "EVERY TOTP" in the '80s was lip-synched. Off the top of my head, I can recall Howard Jones, New Model Army, New Order and All About Eve all performing live on TOTP, for example. It is true, however, to say that circa 98% of appearances were lip-synched, if not more.
@@Albrecht777 lol...
@@StrategyInformer-sjgold Why laugh? Everything I said in my previous comment is correct. Merry Christmas, or whatever else you may or may not celebrate at this time of year!
Nacía la cultura gótica, las batcaves, y todo derivado del rockpunk.....
сука, как же я их люблю
Lip sync is how studios preferred bands back then to preform. Yet some let them sing live
peter soundin dry for this version, very unusual for him.
Lesson: Don't wear white!
beats the original...
Nah.
Yes
As irrelevant as Placebo.
The original goth band "irrelevant? You have no idea, apparently.
Omg How can you even compare them lmao
Do you live on fucking Pluto
