Feels good to get back into running lads. After seeing Aqua beat the snot out of Ruiner using an Earplugs/Big Bang setup, I thought I'd give it a try. Earplugs being almost basically free on most Hammer setups now lends itself WONDERFULLY to Ruiner Nergigante, since all it does is scream if you play your cards right.
The setup at the start NEEDS a crit on the first golfswing otherwise Ruiner won't topple, you have to position yourself based on the lowest arm during the side jumps, and if you can predict when Nerg will de/re-enrage, you can add a triple pound to the start of a topple for a massive amount of damage.
Sure is a good improvement on the last run, eh?

I play hammer so I would be happy if you could tell me but why do you occasionally do the upswing combo and at other times do the Big Bang combo? Were you using the upswing combo to KO and then Big Bang to dps?
exactly right, I don't wanna KO in the middle of the big bang and have 3000 years timeloss because I have to reposition

Why does he continue to just do the sideways wing spike thing over and over? Is it just a place you have to be standing or something? Any time I fight him he's always jumping all over the place and never stays still!

I’m not sure if I’m just blind or an idiot but can someone explain how they have max health and stamina right from the start? I didn’t see any health decoration slotted in the build so I’m confused as to how they have max health

He always lifts the arm before the jump on whichever side he plans to slam down on the arm that stays on the floor is the safe side

How to train your dragon (with a hammer)
Awesome run. I just found your channel through goldian hammer matchup and wanted to try it myself. I left a comment but i think you missed it. With that being said I have questions about that matchup
1.) Im trying this matchup but the only quest I have available is the moon is harsh. 2 uppercuts doesnt seem to be getting me a garunteed k.o like you get at the start.
2.)im at a complete loss for baiting out the straight tailswipe. Ive tried standing close, mid range, far, to his left after the tripple fireball, to his right after tripple fireball, in front, hell even behind. No matter where I am he does 360 tailswipe instead.
1 - you open with a clutch claw attack, then two uppercuts, make sure you eat for slugger, also.
2 - the 360 flip is fine, just stay close because the main thing you don’t want is for her to RUN at you for it. Since she lands immediately after a running flip, as long as she is stationary, you can get a dunk off of that. From the triple fireball in rage mode, you stand where she would normally fire the third fireball and you can get it that way, in my experience.

Because with fatty armor I could probably just slot it in. And yeah thats fine I commented on like 6 month vid so i understand. Thanks for the pointers and keep up the awesome content! Hopefully I can get my 7min run down to something better.
@@tilly3702 felyne slugger is a 10% boost to KO damage and the hammer charge gains an extra 10% for a total of 20, you can reliably eat for Slugger using custom meals, personally adding the KO skill on there messes me up a bit but if it works for you go for it! I’m willing to bet you could sub 5 :^)

modded run nergi would never do that many dives in a row let alone not be slaming with the side your on he chooses which hand to use as the dive animation starts and he often chooses the one you are standing on he never choose your side once.
