Drive-Thru sites are getting more popular with so many big Caravans these days. And reversing is always hard when people are watching. Haha. A little tip always carry a bag of charcoal to campfires. Smell nice and give a great base.
We were wondering about upgrading but went on a month trip and it was great we don't need anything more - easy to set up, park and for the two of us just fine. Thanks for stopping by 😀
We loved watching the video. Had a good laugh. We have set ourselves up with a great tent - but already we're thinking of upgrading, especially after watching this. And for exactly the same reasons. We don't need big either, but a bit extra comfort and convenience sounds good.. Great job with the roast too by the way.
Thanks so much for these videos. I am picking up my secondhand Aliner in two weeks. I HAVE waited until retirement, but better later than never! Your videos about set up and pull down are very helpful as I have had a little crash course with the current owners but I know I will forget it all later. I will be eagerly awaiting any more that you have about features of the a van.
Woohoo on the roast in the Weber and glad you got you a line van too all the best for you too for camping wow you are only 50 and you got to take a bit more care too and the retirement age is 67 at the moment. I am 66 yrs myself and you do things different by then to make it easier for yourselves so take care and enjoy yourselves
The weber is great! I think I got to 40 and started to feel the creaks and groans of the body. Trying to enjoy things as much as we can especially with what is going on at the moment!
Hello candid tourists ! Love this video . We found your video because we are looking to purchase an A-line trailor …. enjoyed watching you guys so much will follow y’all . Good luck happy ventures . The Days - 😊Jodie & Gary From central Texas
Thanks for stopping by. We love our little van. We were not sure if it was going to be big enough but we took it on a 4 week adventure (on our channel) and it was perfect. We spend a lot of our time indoors and on the rainy days we had the annex to give us a bit more space. 😀😀
Thank so much for watching. We store our van down flat under a weather proof cover as it rains alot in Tasmania. After a trip we usually leave it up for a day or two to clean etc or if it has been raining during a trip we pop it up over a few days of good weather to air and dry out properly, particularly if we have been going in and out of the van with wet shoes and clothes. Because we have it under a weather proof cover when stored we had an anderson plug installed to the battery in the van and we attach a small solar panel to trickle charge the battery so it does not go flat given that the main solar panel is under cover also. It works a treat. I have show this in one of our later Avan videos about getting the van ready for a trip. I have heard other people keep their vans stored up but for us this would mean our Aussie/Tassie elements would wear on the van components such as the skylights, bungee cords and seals so we choose to store flat under cover to prolong the life of those and reduce uneccesary maintenance. Hope that helps :)
Luckily the nearest camper is a way off, we keep it quiet and are in bed by 8 not like some other bastard who brought two speakers each the size of a small fridge and played until 2am..

@@CandidTourists thanks for your knowledge 😁
Very interesting. The music would grate against the nerves of anyone camping within earshot.
