    Just a quick addition to my other comments. I purchased this battery (6AH) and was able to use it on my kayak for my Garmin Styker 4CV Vivid. The fish finder was on from 9AM to 3PM, 6 hrs. It worked perfectly. When checking the charge with the lcd on the battery it read 13.3V and showed 80-90% full. When I put it on a charger, it showed over 80% and 13.25V. I had 100% backlight, both traditional and Clear View on in CHiRP, and GPS mapping. Hopefully it continues to perform as such.

    Love the attituded and professional presentation. I see you mention some batteries should not be paired in series but indicated Dakota and the Rebel are brands that can be paired in series. I have a Dakota 23 amp battery (I bought prior to your teardown). I now have a 24 volt trolling motor from ep carry. Do you think paring the Rebel 23 volt battery with the 23 volt Dakota will do the trick?

    I'm building a speaker in a ammo can and It consumes 7 amps max but I want to put a tall 30Ah battery like Amped has. I can get 6 hours of power at 5A (That's a high estimate) but the biggest issue is maintaining cooling for the amp but still being waterproof. I don't believe heat will be a issue but it's something I will keep my eye on.

    • @iceholepower8012

      might be worth it to buy a cheap thermometer and drop it in to see where you are at during use. I would not want it to get much over 140F in there, especially when using lithium. If that happens, you might have to thing about sacrificing water proofing for a small 12v computer fan that you can mount to the side of the box for air flow.

    Thank You. I saw these a while back on Split Milk Productions fishing channel on You Tube and he has Sworn by these batteries. He says it's Amazing. I tried getting these a while back after watching he's Video and review on the Rebel Lithium Batteries but there were all out of stock and I waited for some time and ended getting the Amped Batteries. Maybe later down the road I might try to get my hands on a few, but so far my Amped Outdoor Battery have been just fine for me. Hopefully as you also stated there service can get a whole lot better, because that's a No Go for me even if there great, things can go wrong, and I don't want a Nightmare if I need to get a Hold of them, and Amped is much better with there service. Thank You again for All of your great info and content. 😎👍

      @@iceholepower8012 another good charger to look into is chargers made for rc cars like the hitec. They have different modes for every battery you can think of, li-ion, lifepo4, lead, nimh, and you can pick the charge current you want. Plus you can pick the number of cells 1s,2s, usually up to 6s. The smaller ones will charge up to 5-6 amps the bigger ones will go higher. Along with a display that tells you voltage, current, time and ah put into battery. Can pick em up for about 50 bucks.

    I understand that you don't want to charge a battery at 0C or colder but I keep hearing conflicting info about discharging these type of batteries below 0C. I hear you don't want to do it. Then I hear it's fine to do it and then I hear that they are only safe to discharge down to -10C or -20C. Can you please clarify this subject? If I got it right this particular Rebel battery only works down to -10C or 14 degrees fahrenheit. Ice fishing temperatures are often below this so I'm not sure how usable some or all of these batteries are for ice fishing.

The other hobby is, I use it in series with my electric scooter to achieve 32MPH on a 48 volt system.

      @iceholepower8012  2 года назад +3

      Hi Dean, thanks for watching! I assume you are talking about a sealed lead acid charger and yes can probably get away with using it. A couple things to keep in mind, that charger will likely be in the 13.6v range or so, where a lithium charger is around 14.6v so you would never fully charge the battery. Also, these batteries have a low voltage protection circuit where if you drain the battery and let it sit for a while without charging it. I would go into "sleep mode" to prevent low voltage damage to the cells. If that were to happen, then it would need to see the higher voltage. The good news is that the chargers for these are only like $20, here is a good one on Amazon. amzn.to/3rlfAd9

    Hello Sir. I have a question. I have a B&D 750W 6.52amps inverter model PI750AB. For the most part it works perfectly. But I'm experimenting with using it with a smaller battery in my chicken coops when needed. I have it hooked up to a GT12080-HG 12v 8ah battery. I can run a fan, laptop radio etc no problem. But when I plug in a 200w heat lamp the inverter goes yellow and cuts the power. it wont work. The battery is fully charged. Why is a 750watt inverter shutting down when plugging in a 200watt heat lamp??? Any ideas? I'm trying to put the lightest battery in my setup I can use just in case I need to move it. I'm 78 and can't much carry heavy things. you think my battery is too small and upgrade to that battery?
