Great video, I started in 1989 with a VW/Audi bodyshop, they bought me a new Devilbis Jga and air fed mask (not that they knew as it came in as paint stock thanks to the foreman...) we all used Jga's with 1.6 setup using Glasurit, no seperate primer guns, the jga did it all, moved to Peugeot and still used the Jga on DuPont, ICI and Srandox, it never failed, I worked for a Matra Renault specialist and the Jga was still earning me money, the other painters used Sata jets, when the shop went over to HVLP I bought a new NR95, just couldn't get along with it (nor could the other painter that bought one) so it sat on the shelf and I bought a Devilbis gfg with 1.6, that whacked the product out, using Srandox, I've just painted a Defender for a friend and bought a couple of cheap LVLP guns but ended up using the jga for the clear, still going after all these years, atomises really well but a lot of over spray.
Love that thanks for sharing this, i used a Jga for a while it was a great gun nice big pot and put out a nice fine finish, id love to see what finish it would put HS clears on like 👍
THIS IS NOT LIKE JAY ITS A SUPER LIKE 😊 SHOULD BE MORE VIDEOS JAY LIKE THIS AND DIFFERENT STUFF ON SPRAY GUNS AND SET UPS I LOVE THIS VIDEO JAY YOU NAILED IT EVERYONE GOT IT LEARN 😊
Great video. And very interesting spray gun 😮 that sucks you can't run any paint through it. The rep here said they won't be available until January. We are always last to get everything 😢. Awesome video my friend

I've used a sata like that sure it had something msb in it. Painted well was heavy but did some van doors with it. Put direct gloss through it was ok. I think spray guns direct had a service kit for it!
Hey Jayson, interesting video using the old school Sata's when you see them in action you can appreciate how they have changed over the years as the modern guns are much more paint efficient, I think that WoW primer went on like high build as it was quite thick and peeley and after that went on you were pretty much doomed😲you could see it in the clearcoat finish (this was how my first attempts came out using WoW)😂it would be great to see more of the old guns if you get time Jason👍 I so want that new Jet X in my life I like it even more now I've seen you show us how it work and I rather like the new design of the digital gauge, lets hope you get to use it soon🤞👍
Cheers John, yeah it went on way too heavy its the wrong set up for that gun i don't know where the original set up is, unbelievably you can still buy that gun brand new its sold as a SATAjet B conventional with a load of different set ups so i might buy a new set up for it
Love your honesty J my old man bless him used to tell me that a wise old polish fella many years back on a building site used to say you learn and you learn and then you bloody stupid die lol , I guess he was right ! Interesting vid dude that gun looks pretty complicated to a dumb ass like me but it was cool 😂
great video mate i looked for my old sata in the cupboard but cant find it so it must be in the shed somewhere if i find it ill send it to ya for parts 🤣🤣 and the new sata looks nice not sure if its my cup of tea 👍👍👍
Great video Jason, I enjoyed that , using them old school guns must have brought back memories ? . I would love to have a go at spraying, it looks really Therapeutic, if I had my time again it’s something I would have done, but for now I think I’ll leave it to you (The Master !) 😂 Are you getting the latest Sarta Gun,? Be good to see it in action. Cheers mate, Vince.
Thank you Vince I appreciate it, I enjoyed trying them out I’m gonna do some more with them and try and get better results It’s never to late to start mate 👍👍
Got some of them, still working gun's,and jga,s suction pots still working ,the old bonus working, go for it! Shit or bust!😅😂 made me remember when you turned the panel flat to save a run, good bad old days 😢flatting water frozen in the bucket in cold work shops in the winters.
@@konstantintop-painting6882 yeah you are right I was talking to my son about it just now and said I think its over 3 bar, I’m gonna give it another go soon wanna try and get a decent finish out of it 👍 Thanks for the comment 👍

When using water based paint do you just use water to clean them ? Robotic spraying as they do in car factories...how does that work.get though a lot of paint on a production line!.

I use a water based gun cleaner 👍
The most important part in painting the car is the person who’s pulling the trigger on the gun, not the gun great stuff mate do you do self preps?
Definitely 👍 many thanks, i do all of it with my son, the strip, repairs, prep and the paint, its our own business 👍
