This abandoned honeymoon resort in Pennsylvania was built in 1967. The resort operated for 35 years until finally closing in 2002. The owners wanted to turn the property into an outlet shopping mall.
The resort was once well known for its indoor/outdoor swimming pools, indoor/outdoor tennis, ice skating, rolling skating, miniature golf, volleyball, golf driving range, fitness center, tanning beds, and more.
In 2008 the owners changed plans, and wanted to demolish the resort and build a 400+ room hotel and indoor waterpark. The plans fell through and it never happened.
In 2016 a plan was proposed to build a 48-bed acute care hospital and a two-story medical office building.
The project is still only in the planning stages, but demolition on the property has already begun.

I've been watching your vids for a few weeks now and noticed you mostly shoot in the Tri-state of NY,NJ and PA. I read you never give away locations, but I was wondering if you ever want to Kings Park on Long Island? It's a pretty popular spot for Urban Exploring and pretty much everyone on the Island knows about it. You should check it out if you can. Back in college a student shot her photo project there, she even got on the roof. Mind you that was 7 years ago. I think they started demolishing parts of it since then. I'm sure you've been asked before I just figured I'd ask. Love the videos.

unknown cameraman, you're my favorite urban explorer. You are able to provide us some actual history about these structures (through text and visual images)
No exaggerated dialogue, no over the top click bait titles, just a quiet man giving us some history and a view of the building. Thank you for this great work!

I worked in the main dining room for a few weeks in the late 80's. The kitchen was so gross that I would gag from the smell of rotting garbage. The kitchen was like a dungeon. I had a hard time living with myself knowing I was serving food to unsuspecting guests. The dining room was set with fine linens and crystal glasses - what a shameful front. I was looking for a job and would have waited until I found a new one before leaving but the final straw came when I witnessed who I was told was the owner, kick a kitten really hard who was scrounging around the dumpster looking for food. I still hate that mofo.

I've noticed about these abandoned places, that a lot of furnishings have been left behind by the previous owners, the owners could of sold all of this furniture, gym equipment and that piano for some money, but instead left all to rot in the building?? Why can't us human beings be useful instead of wasteful? Love your new video format UC!!

I remember we went there in the early 80s and the decor seemed tacky. We went to the bar for a few drinks and to relax. There was a guy on that piano (notice the wooden platforms on each side for tip jars) playing desperately loud. There were a few couples who must have been 'swingers', because they were working the room like mad. Gross, fat and sweaty people. There were nice walking trails in the woods though.

This is an absolute time capsule of the 1970's. I cant imagine going there on my honeymoon in the year 2000 and walking into this Brady Bunch decor nonsense! I'd go in there and ask for my money back. Now it looks cool and vintagey but to pay full price to stay there in the 1990's and cringe must have been hilarious. Part of it should be preserved into a museum it is so genuine.

I feel like part of you gets left in places like this. The memories the time spent, you could have had the greatest night of your life in this place and been the man for one night. Now it’s gone, is part of you gone with it? I can’t remember the name of the place my grandparents and I used to stay in the Poconos but I can remember the smell I took part of that place with me and the longing I have to bring my child to the same place today remains. A part of my soul stays there forever. Such majestic places never truly die in our hearts. I only wish that I spent more time soaking in the memories with my family, rather than being obsessed with with big buck hunter in the arcade that my grandfather had no problem feeding quarters into. Cherish your time in places like this you never know when it will be gone.

I cant imagine how many abandoned places there are like this across the planet , everything just left there. I dont understand why the owners of any such places dont just auction off the contents and sell it or have it demolished . Maybe they were sued or it lost its popularity , maybe its decor became dated and family vacations became less popular or maybe it was economics or all of the above.

Boy: Grandpa, how did we get our Indian tribal names?
Gpa: I named you children by the first thing I saw right after you were conceived.
Boy: So, my sister, Little Fox?
GPa: That night, I spotted a tiny fox running through the woods.
Boy: Oh, I get it. And my brother, Eagle Wings, you must have seen an eagle.
Gpa: That's right. One with giant soaring wings.
Boy: I understand now. Thank you, Grandpa.
GPa: You're very welcome, Broken Rubber.

dogmeat301 Just think of how many "cocoa swirlies" were performed in that Jacuzzi from 1967-2002. It boggles the mind, to be honest.
