When I create the 'Basic Shapes Test', there seems to be a correlation between higher pitch and a square wave since these parameters are connected to the same randomizer. Is there a way to circumvent this? Great course btw! :)
Good point! I didn't think about that. Since there's only one random modulator, you could use one of the random LFO's (e.g. Rand 1) and set the mode to "sample & hold", then set the frequency as low as possible (freeze). Then use that to control the oscillator's coarse pitch (make bipolar). You could also go the matrix tab and use a different shape in the mod remap for the "rand" to "osc transpose" modulation. If you click the paint brush, then click the shape next to it and choose the "up" or "down" shape. Then if you click at the top of every column, you can make several saw shapes, making the correlation between wavetable position and coarse pitch much less predictable.
If you're running into a bug on version 1.5 where the waveform blend doesn't work for the harmonic series wavetable, redownload and reinstall vital. The bug was fixed but not on a new version.

Great Video as always! Actually I can't get the harmonic series wave table to snap to the keyframes. I turned of the waveform blend but it still blends between the frames :/

Once you can consistently do it in isolation like we're doing here, it's a lot easier to do in the context of a track. It's like shooting 3-pointers in practice vs. in a game with an defender's hand in your face.

ok the problem occurs only on the standalone version. In my DAW its working fine! Time to train ;-)
