Food Channel Hot Spots: Silver Dollar City

When you think about amusement park food, corn dogs and funnel cakes probably come to mind. But you can find some amazing homemade food at Branson, Missouri's Silver Dollar City that will warm your heart and sweeten your soul.

My favorite place to get food there is the bakery. Especially since it's just before venturing out in the park.

Great food at Silver Dollar City --- but unless things have changed a lot since the late 1980s, I don't advise taking any friend or acquaintance who refuses to eat meat. There wasn't much in the way of vegan or vegetarian cuisine there. I didn't mind, since I liked meat and still do. But they need to accommodate all conceivable guests.

One nice thing about SDC is they let you bring your own food in. Good for the wallet, and special diets. I brought most of my own food, but ate one dinner there with no meat. Enchilada nachos, extra black beans instead of chicken.
