Jenny was way more chill and better for Mike than Rachel was. Rachel acted like a spoiled, jealous little princess most of the time. Plus, Jenny liked Mike before he even turned his life around. She was willing to be with him at that point and then fully supported him even after she learned that he was committing fraud.

Am I the only one who's impressed at how much Mike was handling at the same time? The client waiting for 5 mins, Harvey waiting for 2 mins and Mike handling calls, bluffing around to get what he needs withing that small time frame. I would have drowned under that pressure

They could have played the whole story differently. Rachel could have forced a love triangle situation, but Mike chooses Jenny anyway, breaking Rachel's heart, pushing her (professionally speaking) toward Louis as his associate. She and Louis would then have been constantly pitted against him and Harvey.

Except that Rachel couldn’t be an associate without going to law school which she didn’t do till way after Jenny was out of the picture and only did so after passing the LSATs which only happened cuz Mike helped her study cuz he loved her.
Yes, true. But they could have played Rachel's becoming a lawyer out similarly to how they did with her as Harvey's associate- working at the firm while going to law school.
And it could have been interesting if Rachel found out Mike's secret and then became his rival or enemy (or found out after that transition). It would have made for some amazing tension.
BTW, I love the show, and Mike and Rachel's romance didn't ruin it for me at all. They had some great moments together. I just liked Jenny, and it's interesting to think how it might have been written.

I've had this quarrel with almost all the shows I've watched. Killer opening seasons, then it all fizzles out.
Was still a hit for 9 seasons. I did miss seasons 1 and 2 Mike, Harvey but if it had stayed the same format it would not have lasted 4 seasons. The characters had to evolve plus I wouldnt have seen one of my favourite seasons ...5 amazing acting.
@@Musicienne-DAB1995 It's really hard for that not to happen. Every show has to evolve, to go somewhere. And no matter where you take it, there's a risk of people who liked the initial seasons not going with it. You can't just recycle the same plots indefinitely.

Mike Ross is such a complex character which has grown so much from season one to seven even nine, I think Rachel Zane was perfect for him, she understood his ways more than jenny. Jenny was sweet but she's couldn't stick with him the way Rachel did.
