I'm an english (only) speaking person but I click on a video that obviously is in french, then write that I didn't understand a thing. I am quite the genius.
The more you know! When Ever a new opportunity to learn a language appears, take it. I'm going into my 13th year of french and 3rd year of spanish now. But Quebec french and French french, as said before, is almost 2 different languages with all the french slang we use here. It's good to immerse yourself, it'll help you in the future.
ok seriously, i have been learning french for about 9 years, grade 1-9, and have done decent with Bs, but i can barely keep up with what this guy is saying! french is like one of the fastest languages ever!
The second big parts of quebecer's ancestors are from Normandy (comes from Northman). Normandy was inhabited by viking just like some places in England, Scotland and Ireland. In 1066, Guillaume le Conquérant (a normand) conquered England and a lot of people from Normandy went to England to live there. We share the same blood but the majority of the people don't know it.
For people who speak english and don't understand, be aware that this is a comedic video and the guy is speaking with an extremely exagerated bad french Quebec accent, so if you're not from Quebec, it's normal that you may not understand it, but remember that he's a stand up comedian! It's not suposed to be serious!
@Naddy3667 : french come from latin, english come from a germanic language from scandinavia, then was influence from normandy and from the french language ... French language was spoken before english ... Actually english is a modification of germanic and french ... A lot of english words are french words adapted to english.
@KornwallisTV He has a Canadian East Coast accent, It's almost a language of its very own from the way it's different, including the accent and words that the french from France or West Coast Canada don't use
@1MPALASS You slept in your history classes? There were french colonists along with english colonists during the conquest of the "New World" (America). After the war of 1759-1760 (I think those dates are right), we french colonists lost due to a lack of support from France, but our english neighbours were kind enough to not commit a genocide, so there we are.
the french they teach in classes is french from france. the french spoken in montreal (quebec) is a Joual. Technically its like comparing .... Brit english and americal or worse net english.
@Sinomis ya, my french teacher who speaks fluently in french canadian, said that when she goes over to france, people can hardly understand her haha. And same for her understanding them
For those who can't understand what the guy is saying: you don't need to shit on french language... you just have to know that this guy is pretty funny :) Thanks !
@DontFeedBadger "message" is the same in both languages,"pour les" is definitely french and "douchebag" is slang, maybe they adopted it, like we took dinner and march and a plethora of other words. one word out of four barely represents false advertising
French is a language that can't be misjnterpret when correctly written, it's why a lot of diplomatic document are written in french to be sure both parts have the same comprenhension of the documents, even the first language of the olympic is french ...
Insult someone that you don't know won't make you better than this person..
@Cyrus150 Are you also aware that Quebec was the first populated area in the history of the territory and one of the first founding provinces of our country? The other provinces were mostly populated by immigration later. Canada is also the second largest country in the world, after Russia, which leaves to be expected that English will be more spread out across the territory for historical and geographical reasons. It doesn't mean in any way that french is not a prominent language.
@MultiEpitome Are you sure you answered to the right person ? I don't see your point but thanks for the history course, i'll tell my university teacher that a guy on youtube should replace them cause he said something they never told me.
i go to a french school, so i speak and understand french. since kinder, now in 8thgrade. so I've been learning french for almost 10 yrs. and i didnt understand anything. i heard a few words i knew, but the rest sounded like oidscbihwvNONisudboNONibsdchahahe.
@TaZoClan sorry for not understanding french but you dont have to say that! ive been taking french class for 5 years not but im not very good in it....so i cant understand!
For the english speakers puzzled by what this man is saying - he's basically proving by absurdity that people who care too much for their appearance, to the point of spending 2-3 hours a day training or decorating their face, just revolve around each other and are unable to have meaningful discussions. And it is hilariously true.

I approve this message.
ok seriously, i have been learning french for about 9 years, grade 1-9, and have done decent with Bs, but i can barely keep up with what this guy is saying! french is like one of the fastest languages ever!

That awkward moment when a video trends in a different language... I should have stuck with french in high school

I don't understand what this man is saying, but his body language is hilarious

I live in Montreal and I've spoken French my entire life but I have no idea what this guy is saying lmaoo.
@ThroughTheDawn It's Quebec french, a harsher dialogue, difficult to understand if you haven't grown up with it.
@TaZoClan sorry for not understanding french but you dont have to say that! ive been taking french class for 5 years not but im not very good in it....so i cant understand!
