May 31st, 1911. The Titanic is finally complete after 2 years of construction. It’ll be ready for its first voyage a year later. It’s the most luxurious ship in the world. You’ve just read the groundbreaking news in the Daily Herald, and decide to treat yourself to a trip on this floating gem. You head over to White Star Line’s headquarters in London to buy yourself a ticket. You get the cheapest first-class fare for £30 (that’d be over $4,500 today).
Wednesday, April 10th, 1912. The day is finally here! The majestic ship in front of you is bigger than you imagined. As you board the Titanic, Captain Edward Smith himself greets you! Your trip will begin shortly. By the time the liner stops at Cherbourg and Queenstown, over 2,200 passengers and crew will be on board, embarking on their trans-Atlantic trip. The Titanic is ready to sail, and you hear the horns from the deck as you wave goodbye to the people below. The ship is scheduled to arrive in New York a week later on April 17th. But that’s only if things go according to plan… So could the Titanic sinking have been avoided? What if the Titanic never sank?

Hi there! Did you cry while watching "Titanic"?
Never
I never even saw the movie
No 👎
rhetorical question xd
No. Sometimes It's so funny. 😁
btw this video may be useful for making a new movie "Titanic 2". 🤓
The weird thing about the movie "Titanic" is that Rose tries to jump off when the ship is afloat but then jumps back on the ship when it's sinking! 😂
@Casey Gabriel What?
🤣🤣👌 Sahi h
You jump, I jump
Wait rose didn't jump off the ship rose:always has been
😂🤣
The whole Atlantic full of different courses to take and that Iceberg just had to be at that very spot at that very moment when Titanic happened to pass that fractional length of the whole journey. Imagine the odds.
Probably not as big odds as you think, because you need to look at it a different way. The amount of boats crossing the Atlantic against the amount of icebergs, I dare say many ships have hit them before and since too.
-Jack and rose were actually fictional characters, Joseph Dawson was a boiler room worker on the ship.
-Empire State Building would’ve never been built since a passenger doesn’t sell his nyc hotel.
-We wouldn’t even care about the Titanic because it would’ve been used during WWI and maybe WWII and we would just read of its history as a warship.
-Ships would not have as many lifeboats as it does now due to no event causing the regulation.
This is just some of the few things that would change.
1. Captain Smith didn't steer clear of ss new york. Tugs raced over and stopped the ship so it wouldn't collide.
2. The helmsmen didn't panic. He followed orders
3. The helmsmen didn't turn the wheel the wrong way. They used Tiller commands. Hard to starboard meant turn the ship to port.
4. There was no "gap left in the hull hundreds of feet long". The iceberg sheared off the rivet heads and it was a relatively small area.
0:13 never did that to the boat
4:20 WTH IS THAT CARPATHIA
seriously they gave it the superstructure of the titanic
auctually no after investigating it for longer, all they literally did was remove the first, second, and fourth funnel and make the third one red and called it a day
cursed Carpathia
Titanic took way more than 2 years to make, since there were not as many construction machines in the early 1900s. It actually took about 11 years, with 100 builders in total working day and night to create the once afloat ship.
The steel on Titanic hull is way older than what the historians have made us aware of they may not no that either?
I have learned so much about the Titanic from watching your videos. Thank you💜

Personally love the animation if the captain, it's so cute!
If it never sank I would be watching a video called "what if the Titanic sank"
RMS Olympic is truly unsinkable. The first of the trio survived a 1911 collision with HMS Hawke of the royal navy, tried to save titanic and HMS Audacious that struck a mine, rammed and sank SM U-103, survived a collision with the fort st. george(formerly HMAT Wandilla) and Nantucket lightship 117. She was finally scrapped in 1935-37
She really was
Life boat regulations would never have changed…
Considering the Olympic went on to be known as "Old Reliable" the design of the ships were pretty sound for the most part.
Violet Jessop didn't survive 3 ship wrecks as the RMS Olimpic never sank, she was stuck by the HMS Hawk and was badly wounded but never sank and made it back to Southampton for repairs. Violet survived 2 ship wrecks and a ship collision.
Your right, but she is still *MISS UNSINKABLE* .
Violet Jessop survived the collisions of all three Olympic-class liners: Olympic with HMS Hawke in 1911, Titanic's sinking in 1912, and HMHS Britannic's mining and sinking in 1916.
Many safety features, such as requiring that there be enough lifeboats for everyone on board, would not have been introduced until years later
A nice thought, but without the Titanic's sinking there would have been none of the development that have no doubt saved lives over the decades such as Mandatory 24/7 staffing of the communication centres, mandatory lifeboat drills for everyone on board and, perhaps most important, lifeboat requirements according to the number of people on board.
Iceberg 🧊🧊🧊🧊🧊🧊🧊🧊🧊🧊🧊🧊🧊🧊
The happy bit is my favourite part and the music 😂
I think there was another iceberg after the dodged one. Btw nice vid! I smashed the like and subscribe buttons!
Tbh this is the first video I've seen on this channel and I love it Def subbing
I love how the ship was chilling in the water
This was the best video!
@8:43, the likelihood of follow on vessels having enough lifeboats for all passengers is very unlikely since it was the sinking of the Titanic that brought to light the lack of lifeboats and complete disregard for life when it came to third class passengers. The sinking actually helped to bring about changes in society.
Underrated comment
Titanic didn’t disregard 3rd class passengers neither did it have a lack of lifeboats, those are just myths
Well, even if there weren’t enough lifeboats in 1912 if she never sank, new laws would be drawn up in either 1914 or 1916 after the Lusitania and Britannic disasters. Without enough lifeboats on them, they would’ve simply taken Titanic’s place in history.
@@sdmedia1323 now that is a very fair assessment and a valid point of view I hadn't considered before. Thanks for the engagement.
Him: are you subcribe to brightside?
Me: yes!
Him: why?
Me: it's complicated.
If the titanic did escape the iceberg then the ship could be preserved and be a museum
But the helmsman didnt steer incorrectly, they used tiller commands so to turn away from the iceberg the tiller was turned towards it to turn the ships rudder such a way that would steer the ship away from it
Sadly, what they did not know then, but SHOULD HAVE, is that you NEVER reverse the engines when attempting an emergency turn. All that did was render the rudder useless as the water was rolling around it much like boiling water on a stove. As close as the Titanic was and as fast as she was going it might not have made that much difference but we'll never know.
Does the infographic show animate your videos? Your animation style seems pretty similar
I'm gonna show my mommy this video and also share it with my friends at school in 2nd grade! Yay!!
Then Celine Dions “My Heart Will Go On” wouldn’t be as popular
It would revolve around a fictional shipwreck.
Titanic was torpedoed and sunk by U-21 on 14 April 1917. She still had insufficient lifeboat capacity. The ship sank in 2h40”. About 700 passengers were saved, but 1500 went down with the ship.
Excuse you?
that's mixing the Britannic's sinking reason and Titanic's tally count
@@platinumfalcon798 No. Britannic hit a mine.
@@IhaveQuit124 forgot that, my bad
Is dude joking or smthing
Imagine people who lost their loved ones watching this video with tears in eyes 💔
None of them is alive now
Is no one going to talk about how he sank it the wrong way? 5:04
This video and this Chanel is trash
Plot twist: While the crew is distracted celebrating their narrow escape, the ship scrapes against a second, previously-unnoticed iceberg.
What was the music name at 2:26?
I think if it never sank, it would have served like the Olympic did and then been scraped around the late 1930's as it seems around that time, ships had about a 25 year useful life. HOwever, I think in terms of life-boat safety, it would have taken another sinking to drive that home and require a seat on a lifeboat for every person on the ship, and not base it based on tonnage (ship weight) alone.
I was sleeping and then i swiped this notification right away when it popped. And then I'm here.
1912: the most luxurious ship.
2020: the most classic ship
Her level of luxury was surpassed just 2 weeks after she entered service by the CGT liner France. Not as large as Titanic but way more luxurious.
I know everything (well almost) but I still enjoy these
7:40 "This time, Bast___ survives"
Loved the video brought tears to my eyes. Always been a big fan of White Star and the Olympic Class. Would say that White Star would have Completed Oceanic 3 in the early 1930's and would have acquired Cunard after a merger in the mid 1930's. In the early 1950's the company would have started an aviation division. Jet powered flights would probably been initiated in the late 1950's. The jets would have replaced the ocean liners during the 1960's. White Star would have created a cruise division in the early 1970's. Today the company would probably be building mega-ships like Carnival and Royal Caribbean.
thanks RUclips for recommending me to the same 10 videos I watch everyday................
I love this out of the box stories. 🤣👍🏾👌🏾Keep bringing the awesome content 👍🏾
It’s crazy a ship wreck is still being talked about so actively 108 years later.
If that Berg was a few metres to right nobody would ever have really known about it.
She still would be known.
if it never sunk, the improvement of future voyage boats etc and cruises wouldn't happened....crazy how life works.
It maybe in a few Years if a Ship sunk.
@@ibxgameryt9449 Agreed. An accident of the scale of the Titanic wasnt a question of "If" but "When"
8:39 that part made me cry ...
1800 people would've made it to NYC and went on about the rest of their lives, another movie would've won best picture of 1997, and Branson, MO would have one less museum. That would be about it.
Olympic watching this like: s i s t e r ?
Bright Side: Tells the Opposite of the Titanic story
The Universe: *Explodes*

I love your vids
The phrase "like re-arranging the deck chairs on the Titanic" would never have been coined.
No one now would remember the name Titanic.
Except for historic ship enthusiasts.
The Federal Reserve wouldn't exist.
Well said! Unfortunately 98% of the comment section wouldn't have a clue what you mean...
To the person reading this : u are awesome 👑
My family challenged me to get 1k subs in one week. I know it's impossible but 380 isn't. U can help me. BTW I make COD. Thank you 😊*
True.
And in Boston the opening of Fenway Park on April 20, 1912 is front page news!
If Titanic misses the iceberg I say Lusitania takes the position of most famous sinking and most famous ship.
And Germany would be labelled even more as barbaric savages than they already were.
What If Titanic Escaped the Iceberg at the Last Minute? Answer: And they lived happily ever after in America.
There wouldn't be a movie about it then •_•
Then Titanic would be no legend ship? Idk
and no movies about it
I REALLY FEEL BAD FOR ALL THE PEOPLE THAT DIED ON THAT NIGHT 😢😭😢😭😢😭😨😵😱😰
Yes, because back then the world was nice even though they were difficult times... Now the world is f***ed...🧐🧐🧐
Bro this comment was posted 3 years ago I got non to say rn 👍
3:59 yo that 2 men..
Fun fact:
The 2 lookouts in the crows nest never had binoculars to begin with. The key to open the safe in which the binoculars were in was left behind in Southhampton.
This would be perfect!!! A happy ending!!!😌😌
Still heart is beating for Titanic 💙💙
If Titanic escaped the iceberg, Jack would have lived in the movie…..
the amount of inaccuracies in this video makes me scream
1. Why was the titanic constantly sinking from the stern?
2. why was the olympic shown sinking?
I watched the titanic movie once and I didn’t cry, I fell asleep!
It was that bad?
you want a medal for that?
Then Leonardo de Caprio wont become a meme
Imagine the ship was still sailing year after year and its still in Service
There would be no OceanGate implosion
From what ive heard, White Star did not break bottles on the hull of their ships during their launch, unlike is customary with most lines.
It would be great if you could do a video about the Wilhelm Gustloff! It’s the worst ship disaster in all history (9,400 people died). If you could do a video on that, I would be so happy because there aren’t many videos of it on RUclips for it is super underrated.
I love this story, everyone got their happy ending.😊
Titanic makes me me cry every time someone talks about it’s story
Ok one thing when he said how everyone cheered when Titanic missed the ice burg. The ship did hit it and the impact was bearly felt. Passengers didn't even think it was necessary to leave the ship. Im almost positive no one would have a clue besides the crew that saw the close call.
Bro this video says if the titanic never sunk you said how everybody cheered when they misses it it did hit it it's a what if video READ THE TITLE
If it hadn't sunk...
It would've been scrapped after some years,
the sister ship Olympic was scrapped ( disassembled at a shipyard )
No it be hotel
@@isuckatthesegames7119 I don’t think it would of had it sank, see the sinking MADE the Olympic class liners famous. Well at least worldwide fame anyways. I agree that it probably would of been scrapped like it’s sister Olympic. Sad really :(
@@isuckatthesegames7119, no, just parts of the carved wooden panelling and such.
We wouldn’t have the ice patrol or the communication act which mandates 2 lines of communication to be open. The first for entertainment and passenger second for emergency’s.

bright side and the titanic..a never ending story..
I like how your Carpathia model is just the titanic with one funnel
Thanks
In an alternative universe Titanic did miss the iceberg...
In that universe Titanic was torpedoed by a German U-boat.
In another universe Titanic was Wilhelm Gustloff!
And there would not be an International Ice Patrol established to prevent other ships from collisions with icebergs.
You should do titanic riddles
What will it be like if instead scrapped, the Titanic and her sister ships took a hiatus from travelling and became floating hotels? That could've been splendid.
Then there was no film called titanic .
There would be but it will only show the voyage and no icebergs or sinking just experiences
Instead James Cameron would have portrayed fictious shipwreck.
And the song wouldn't exist: my hart goes on. James camron would have managed to make any movie profit.

Facts:
1, The actual titanic never sank, it was the Olympic that JP Morgan changed their names.
2. The Olympic did not hit an ice berg, it was an explosion on the ship side to cause it to sink.
3. The Olympic was caught in many collisions.
4. JP Morgan sank the Olympic on purpose as he wanted to get rid of it
5. All of JP Morgan’s Assistants died from the sinking
6. One of the ship builders, James Felton( I forgot his name 😢) survived the sinking and his last words were, “The Titanic never sank, it was the Olympic.”
7 James Felton ( or whatever his name is) was told that if he said anything about the ships, something bad would happen to him.
8. JP Morgan cancelled his trip a few minutes before the ship set off.
2:29 : I know it's a What if scenario. But slowing down the ship and be behind schedule was a big no-no for every liners.
Bright side is the best!!
Ok this is the definition of I don’t need sleep I need answers
Everybody knowing about the titanic crash wished that it never sank and thank you that you made it possible
Excuse me, just to be clear, the man who had the keys to the binoculars brought them with him when he left the titanic, I'm not sure if you know this already, so the Fredrick Fleet wouldn't have any Binoculars, also the Olympic never sank fully, yes, it did have a couple of close calls, one of these calls was when the Hawke collided with the stern of the Olympic, as the Hawke was designed to ram ships, causing more damage on the Olympic, also the titanic never had a line on it when it collided with the iceberg, instead it had medium-sized holes, causing the ship to sink slower than the Britannic.

the titanic movie was nothing but a love story, i almost walk out of the theater
*lol imagine existing in this universe*
hi the one i orbit around!
Ships would have continued without enough life its, speeding too fast through an ice field where their lookouts didn’t have binoculars. No mistakes would have been corrected until there was a massive disaster on another ship - or maybe Titanic herself on a later voyage - killed over half the people on board.
Btw this may have already been mentioned but if Titanic never, sank this would mean or could mean their would be liners up until today with not enough Life Boats on board, for everyone on board as it was the sinking of the Titanic which then, meant all ships going out to sea have to have enough Life Boats, for everyone on board as Titanic was said to be unsinkable
I think that eventually somebody's brain cells would have started working and the lifeboat situation would have been rectified.
These are awesome stories👍👍👍
Then "My Heart Will Go On" will not be sung by Celine Dion.
