What great jam. Was coning off the heals of jerry passing and great jams like these helped the healing knowing it would move on. And it does to this day
It took a couple of years and while I enjoyed the Further Fests of 96 and 97, I really missed the guys all playing together. Bobby at first shyed away from any songs too much GD and I don't think that I really accepted Ratdog as more than a side project until fall of 98. I'd long enjoyed Weir & Wasserman but 2 guys can only do so much with music that is normally 5 or 6 guys or more. I loved Mickey's Mystery Box and was sad that it only lasted that summer or maybe it was a year????. When the Other Ones hit that stage in 98, I was missing Bill K and even Vince should have been given some time but with Bruce present. Eventually Jeff Chimenti made a great fit but I did love the 2 keys and 2 lead guitarists of 2002. I would still sink deeply at times because of the missing Jerry but what can you do? I still miss Jerry but it isn't the first thing that crosses my mind in many years. I'm so grateful that these guys kept on and that eventually the GD tunes have been getting good play from many talented musicians. The early 1990s was not good with Grunge, Rap, and pseudo-head bands like the Spin Doctors and there weren't files of music or anything like what we have now but the younger generations have no idea. Lofl.
The Eleven IS in fact my favourite Dead song of all time!! The version coming out of St. Stephen on Live Dead is what turned me on to the band like....oh man....25 years ago!!! Back in like ...1990 when I was a High School student in Windsor Ontario here....some older hot hippie girls turned me on to the Dead and inspired me greatly when I was younger...I couldn't believe that such hot, older girls were giving me the time of day....they loved the Dead and that's why I got turned on to them in the first place.....so, so many great stories we all have....Ah, the Dead!!!
No more time to tell how This is the season of what Now is the time of returning With thought jewels polished and gleaming Now is the time past believing The child has relinquished the reign Now is the test of the boomerang Tossed in the night of redeeming
@@wingman5724 Yeah, it was over before you know, but at least I caught 3 shows of that TOO98 tour. They've never quite found the same magic, magic but not this.
Thanks I was at the majority of these shows. I appreciate this so much
Me too

My favorite Eleven ever
The eleven kicks so much ass, one of my favorite dead songs, I always get lost in it especially when I’m buzzed

Oh my goodness!!! Wildly amazing!!! Thank you for posting this Eleven!!!
This was the best post Jerry band.
If the Other Ones were # 1 then Phil and Friends with Warren and Herring are 1A.
But this band was very special and inspiring.
Agreed!
Yes it was
This is such a great version. Phil's rig is so clear. Not like LA in 1968 but you can't compare the two
The Best
