Please please please write another continuing story book. Loved it!
I found The War that Saved My Life through a book club. I love the book. Kimberly, if you read these comments, I want to thank you for writing the book. Reading the book kind of reminded me of my own trauma with growing up. I love Ada's ability to heal. Oh, and Butter, and when she first saw someone riding a horse and imagined herself with that kind of freedom; that was wonderful. I could tell from the descriptions of Ada when she first learned about Butter, how to care for him and ride him, that you're familiar with horses. Myself, I've just become familiar with horses during the latest few years of my life, in my middle age, going to visit certain horses every chance I get. They can be so healing, both for me, and sometimes for them when they haven't had perfect lives, either. Now, in this video, I get to see you with your horses! Even if Butter wasn't part of the book, it would still be an interesting story, but I love Ada's discovery of Butter. I also like that it wasn't all just magical; she had to struggle to learn about Butter, and she found someone to help her. I've gone through something like that myself, a quite important experience for me.
I'm excited to hear there's a sequel. From reading some reviews, there are horses in the sequel, and it sounds like they're helping with Ada's healing journey.
I also found it interesting to imagine what it was like to go through WWII.
