Tyler: "It starts very unstressed". The bridge: 48% stress. Any responsible engineer: That means the bridge can only carry 2% more (to keep its safety factor of 2).
For bridge one, you didn't need a hydraulic on the right hand side - just made the ramp connect at the bottom with a split joint, and release when the bus has safely passed. The car can simply push open the trap door.
Last world and we are still into node spam on the first two cheapest bridges ugh. The second design is more forgiving than the first I will give them that, saw that type of design coming and still bridge lift out of water to be cheapest. And expecting that type to still be the cheapest after node spam fix. FYI there is a chance your bridges isn't surviving after the physics engine patch that is supposedly fixing node spam bridges since it would affect ALL bridges, most notably 99.9% stressed bridges where a single pixel tweak causes a break so if there is a patch that comes along and says you behave differently, a la pixel tweak, it could have the same effect and break the bridge. Now, this isn't the end of the world since it is taking a while to get this node spam patch in place so maybe there are finding a way to compensate and prevent it from outright breaking normal hyper-optimized 99.9% builds.
Nice 2nd bridge Tyler! If you connect the first road to the red node, you could make it even cheaper! The key to this bridge is the roads on the sides, they can act as stabilizers.
Right, there's a lot of wood to cut on the left side if you transfer the compression force to the road. Sometimes you have to add pieces in order to remove them. That's not to mention the savings with a more symmetric arch.
I got $25,622 on the first one. I put a ramp over the car so it gets released when the bus drives over it. The second one I only manage $19,634 doing something similar to yours. I could not get below about $24,500 with a draw bridge. That still put my at #90 so even though it is not below half it is still pretty good.
I saw a game called 'frame - portals on steroids' on steam. it doesn't look fully complete imo with an actual style but the 15 total reviews seem pretty legitimate and they are all positive. from what I gathered a physics based brain-bender. all I'm saying is it seems like a game Aliensrock would play in the whole puzzle aspect. toodle oo.
To be honest I didn’t think the arch bridge was doable there, you’re nuts! I ended up giving up on that after an hour or two and doing the dangle made of road and rope muscles which you showed off in an earlier episode, and that held first try it was so anticlimactic.
4:04 cant the other hydraulic go to? Is the car capable of just pushing it out of the way like a cat flap, or find out if you can detach it completely and let the car push it?
Its a shame Matt has such a hard on for beating your scores. I genuinely think your format is better, so a colab challenge set of maps submitted by community to spread your reach with him.
Day 1031 of telling Tyler that he never finished his minecraft series and that he should finish it. Work has been really busy tonight. And its sad to see the last world, cause it means the series is gonna be over soon
Why does this video keep popping up in my feed as having been released 27 minutes ago, despite the fact that I've already watched it? Did Tyler find a RUclips exploit?
I hope to God they don't actually "patch" the nodes thing or the ladder bridge thing. It's not in any way whatsoever harmful to the gameplay, therefore shouldn't be an issue whatsoever on development of future updates, if you ask me.
I hate the people that abuse the glitches to get 1st place. Like yeah we get it, you found a glitch, whoopdeedoo. But abusing it like that to be number one? Come on now. Why not just show the developers (no one else) and stop?
Props to the editors for somehow making microtweaks hype

It had legit more suspence than most Marvel movies
I thought Tyler was just going to build a "bridge" on the bus that the red car could get over for the first challenge.
Same thought here,
i was thinking similarly. like a snow plow sort of thing- a ramp that the bus pushes forward
I thought that too, but the problem would be the car dropping from the bus to the bridge
I like it when several souls get sacrificed only for an unstable bridge thats nearly going to topple over

A moment of silence for all of the polybridge vehicle passengers.

Finally the meeting of the bridge greats; Poly Bridge and the 11' 8"
Ah yes, watching funni guy make awesome shapes on my screen while my brain melts due to lack of sleep.🤗
The power is out at my house, my phone is at 12% and I'm using up my limited data plan but I can not miss an aliensrock polybridge video
The bus deploying its stop sign is such a good touch lol
11 ft 8 in + 8 in reference is goated
I love your editors so much, Dan and Ben are doing AMAZING jobs, they deserve all the love they can get
Tyler: "It starts very unstressed".
The bridge: 48% stress.
Any responsible engineer: That means the bridge can only carry 2% more (to keep its safety factor of 2).
Tyler refusing to simply drop the road and thus remove a steel and a hydraulic from the bridge for that first level was quite the occurence.
I don't know how I'll be able to get through my week without seeing Tyler build bridges.
For bridge one, you didn't need a hydraulic on the right hand side - just made the ramp connect at the bottom with a split joint, and release when the bus has safely passed. The car can simply push open the trap door.
Editor is always so relatable.
deterministic physics be like: move to the left by one pixel... move back to the right by one pixel... omg, this changes everything!
The music at the end was just perfect for the event
I love that you used the clip of the orange overhang, that original video is great!

The music that starts at 8:19 is godlike! So much hype!!! I love it!!!! More good music edits!!!!!!!!

When times are difficult, Tyler gets a haircut.
The music about 9 and a half minutes in is real good 🔥
Aye good night with an Aliensrock vid to chill to.
I came here at midnight for only 2 levels, there is nothing more worth it than that
I love all the little captions

Maybe polybridge could include a voluntary flag saying a build uses exploits.

Mr Tyler a certain engineer is calling you out once again, I believe it’s time to revolt
Sad to see the campaign completed but hopefully you'll return to play some custom levels!
Love to see a before and after shave ❤ but with some of the editor creativity
I wonder if theres gonna be a secret world like the past 2, if so, i imagine it would have 5 sheep difficulty
can't believe there are only 3 worlds in Poly Bridge 3
Looks to me that the game currently doesn't consider a materials length when determining how far it can stretch. If so, then it should be an easy fix.
shoutout to the 11foot8 footage 0:57
Final bridge is epic
You should try It's Complicated, It's a very interesting puzzle game I'm sure you will enjoy.
He won't be able to post it, because It's Complicated.

1:20, why not just push a road with the bus?

Hydraulic hype
I would’ve put a ramp on the bus in the first one

I am actually in the middle of recreating this as a 2D unity game, and I can say without a doubt that they are not going to patch that out.
It's already fixed on the physics test branch lol
Hey Tyler, will you play bloons 6 again? They’ve added a new boss and tower pretty recently

Couldn't you just release the road without the hydraulic on the first level so the car just pushes the road out of the way?
Why does this video keep popping up in my feed as having been released 27 minutes ago, despite the fact that I've already watched it? Did Tyler find a RUclips exploit?
I was kinda thrown by the video being only 13 minutes tbh

I'm skipping this video for now because I want to solve these myself. Hydraulics are my favorite part of this game.

Sadly I don't think the node glitch will ever be patched, if it were it would be very difficult to get people who used it off the leader board
It will be patched. Leaderboards will be partially cleared (top so-and-so many spots) at that time.
