Gulf Racing Hello Gulf Racing. I am 71 and worked with my dad who owned 3 different Gulf stations in Florida from 1958 to 1970. I got into GP Racing at Sebring in 1964 and saw the Daytona Cobras and hundreds of other cars from that period. Gulf sponsored the races and I was able to get into the pits in 1969 by wearing my blue Gulf jump suit with blue and white racing stripes and the Gulf logo. It was amazing. The old professor
