- Hello Everyone! In todays acrylic pour tutorial I will be doing and Dutch Pour Blowout WAVE inspired by @Molly’s Artistry. This one is a commission that I was anxious about so I watched hours of Molly’s wave videos to learn her technique. It was definitely a challenge but I am really happy with the results! For some reason I had a TON of problems uploading this so the sound is a little wonky but I hope you still like it… all recipes are listed in the video itself as well as below. I do have multiple paint mixing videos as well as several How To videos under playlists so check those out. I hope you enjoy this tutorial. I think this one turned out pretty cool but I need you guys to let me know in the comments what you think of it. I hope you enjoy this as much as I enjoyed creating it!

Materials I used in this demonstration:
18”x24” Deep Edge Gallery Wrapped Canvas
Artist Loft White
Amsterdam: Titanium White, Turquoise Blue, Turquoise Green, Sky Blue Light, Phthalo Blue
Golden Fluids: Prussian Blue
Pebeo Studios: Iridescent Blue Green
Golden GAC 800
Golden Color Pour Medium
US Floetrol
Colored Pearl Recipe:
4 parts Behr Satin Enamel Deep Base
3 parts US Floetrol
2 parts tube paint or 1 part fluid paint (to tint)
1.5 parts Golden Gloss Color Pouring Medium (or GAC800)
Water to thin (approx 4 parts depending on Behr satin enamel ratios)
White Pearl Cell Recipe:
2 Pts Behr Premium Plus Pure White
2 parts Artist Loft Paint
3 Parts US Floetrol
1.5 Parts Golden Color Pouring Medium Gloss (or GAC800)
Water to thin (approx 2 pts)
Pouring Medium for puddle and Dutch pour paints:
50% Floetrol 50% Golden GAC 800
Puddle & Dutch Pour Paints mixed 1 pt paint to 5 pts PM and water to consistency (tube paint approximately 1 part water, fluid paint no water) (This is the ratio for highly pigmented paints like Golden, Amsterdam, Pebeo, etc)
No silicone used for cells. It was all the layering of the paints that made those cool effects.

Nicest, most realistic wave poured! Not sure why that “ second round “ of colors went on as it seemed gorgeous then…white on tip of wave added to frothy realism of water!
Thanks Jeanne. I appreciate your feedback. I went with the second round because in person it needed some more depth. Sometimes I watch some of my videos on camera and it looks nice from that perspective but in the moment in person you see details that aren’t visible on camera. On the other hand, I sometimes make changes in person and then I watch back and yell at myself to STOP! Lol! In this case I’m glad I kept going but that isn’t alway la the case. 😉🙏🏻☺️❤️

This is the best Dutch pour wave I've seen! You got the proportions and perspective on the money😁. The colors and the blending of them are spot on. I love that you finger paint! I do that all the time...I'm not great with a pallet knife so the digits come in handy. Truly wonderful wave Tara! I'm sure your client is thrilled. 😊🌊🌊🌊🌊🌊
