I'm from India. This song came out during my college years and i didn't have a smartphone yet. I used to keep my FM radio on all the time waiting for this song to come on. And when it did, i turned the volume to max. It always seemed to end soon and I'd have to wait hours till it came back on again. My life revolved around that circle. This song reminds me of my hostel days.

I'm 51.....and I know EXACTLY what you mean. This world has gotten so heavy...so serious....so dark. I long for the late spring/early summer nights...when it's warm and cool....with feel good music playing while the BBQ is cooking good food....and you felt GOOD. No worries....no frustration......just the awesome feeling of being ALIVE!!
C-Can I stay here? I miss these warm feelings. I miss the sunny car drives with my mom looking back in the mirror to check on me and seeing her smile. I miss the feelings of actual joy.
We all do. It’s hard, it’s really hard. But those moments made us stronger, so that we can face everything today. There will be light at the end of the tunnel, no matter how long the tunnel is. Keep holding on. You are loved and were made for a purpose, a beautiful purpose❤️
I feel for everyone in hard lockdown 😞 I’m grateful that where I am we haven’t had as tough a time compared to other countries... But it will end eventually! And everyone can be feeling this way again ❤️ Take care 🙏🏼
This song unlocked a memory I completely forgot I had. In 2007 I was 5 years old, and every day after preschool grandpa would pick me up, sometimes taking me out to play putt-putt golf. He would always turn on the radio, and this song was always bound to play, as it was a new song at the time. Grandpa really liked that song, and I remember the hook really stuck with me, even at age 5. Grandpa died later that year, and I went through my 13 years of primary and high school without hearing this song again. I almost forgot it existed; all I remembered was the melody of the hook, but no lyrics, no title and no artist. Randomly found it on a random Spotify playlist two weeks ago, and when I heard "It starts in my toes" it caused all those memories of grandpa taking me to putt-putt after preschool to flood back, out of nowhere. Thank you Colbie. Even fifteen years on, this song is having a profound impact.
This gives me feelings I haven’t had in a long time, since the internet was still in its wild west stage and the world still had a sense of mystery and people were hopeful about the future. I miss my childhood so bad.
I hear you. The twinge in your chest at the sight of what is gone is felt here too. I love you brother/sister. No homo/weirdness, just plain comradery.

Random Account I’m guessing you wrote that because you’re still in high school.... high school should be one of the most fun times of your life I don’t see what you mean it gets worse when you’re older... I’m going into my junior year and I feel like high schools going way too fast
I was 19 when this song came out. Was working at a grocery store stocking shelves…I swear to god I heard this song 4 times a day for almost 8 years. I despised it lol. I’m 34 now and it just popped back into my head. Listening to it now…so much nostalgia. Takes me right back to being 19 years old. Music truly does incredible thing to the human mind and body.
I was going to comment something similar. This song immediately brings back PTSD of my first job working at a WalMart McDonald’s, and hearing this song incessantly when having to do things like lug the giant greasy trash can to the dumpster in back, or sweeping and wiping the tables for the millionth time because there was nothing else to do. My soul crushing misery was soundtracked by this, Jason Mraz, Michael Bublé, etc. Hearing it outside of that context, I can appreciate that it’s a nice breezy pop song though. Grateful to be in a place now, ten years later, where I never have to work a job like that again.
Same here for me. I was in my 20s during the 2000s and was a mid tier drug dealer. I had more money than I knew what to do with, girls, a nice car, "friends", went on nice trips and partied every weekend. I got busted in 2009 and got put on probation with one condition being that I get a job and be able to prove it to my P.O. I got a job at a local sandwich shop chain like a Subway, but with a flat top grill. I was at the lowest point in my life, with all my money gone, lost my license, girlfriend broke up with me, and my "friends" were never my friends to begin with, just a bunch of leeches after a slice of how I was living had all abandoned me. I heard this, Sara Barreiles, Snow Patrol, P!nk, and Maroon 5 over and over every day multiplying my misery. Things got much worse before they got better, but now I don't mind this song so much. The whole thing was a major humbling and learning experience for me.
I swear, my gym was using the song "Intergalactic" by Beastie Boys in order to groom a Manchurian Candidate. I have never heard a song get overplayed more in my life. But hearing it recently.... was kind of a treat.
@@1ofthewizards330 I love Sara B lol. She’s actually a really talented musician. I used to hear ‘Gonna get over you’ at the grocery store all the time as well. I actually never got sick of that one lol.
This was one of my favorite songs when I was a kid. Hearing it again gave me so much nostalgia. Now I'm in college, drowning in stress as finals are coming up. Oh, how I wish I could just go back to simpler times.
She has such a comforting voice, this song is so simple and sweet with a touch of romance and pep haha so nostalgic can’t believe this was released like 12 years ago and I still love it just as much
*You, reading this.* If you’re going through a tough time, try to remember that you are not made up of the high expectations you think you’ll never meet, you are not made up of the words people use to hurt you, you are not made up of the number on the scale, you are made up of everything that makes you UNIQUE. Stop letting your happiness depend on others and what they may think of you. You are worth so much more than that. If you have a dream, go for it! Be confident with who you are and most importantly, don’t forget to smile! :) xo
Damn this song brings back memories... I didnt care for the lyrics of this song back in high school, the voice and the tune were everything. Damn Colbie, u got talent... I was black gay kid living in Jamaica, perhaps the human being on that island who listened to white girl that nobody else knew... I listened to this song every morning before going to school, this is beauty!
I remember sitting in the back of my moms car holding my angry bird stuffed animal when I was seven, damn time flies, I wish I could go back to when the days were simple
It gets worse... if you had angry birds stuffed animals as a kid when this came out you are still quite young. I was probably the age you are now when this came out and it gets worse, more demanding, work, kids, marriage, bills, mortgage, you don’t get to hangout with your friends because you are all busy and you spend more time at work with co-workers you don’t like. Sometimes it’s like you don’t have a minute to hear your own thoughts and you want to yell. Then you hear songs like this one and wish you could go back in time, lay on your bed and listen to music daydreaming about the possibilities of the future and that little crush of yours... while your mum is calling you because dinner is served.
I used to hold my cat against my chest and sing this to him while he purred. It was the most adorable thing. I miss you every day Moo. I will never forget you. Never. I love you. Hope to see you again someday.
The feeling I get from this song is one that can't be replicated. The feeling can be described as feeling love and it being such a pure feeling and knowing that love is so rare that whenever you feel it, hang on to it and never let it go.
2007 was also a great year for me because I remember raining everyday all summer and watching some random Sonic videos on my brothers computer. That's also the where I started middle school. So yeah I had a great childhood back then.

Man, this song makes me remember a girl that was once in my life. I haven't seen her in nine years. This used to be her favorite song back then. Damn. Plus its gently raining outside.
I wasn't the biggest fan of a lot of 2000's music after growing up in the 80's and 90's, but this kinda sound was such a vibe. This is perhaps the kinda feeling I miss most from that decade cause it's probably when it was done best. Simple, warm songs that did everything right with so little effort.
Lyric : Will you count me in? @@ro8068 Because the word "bubbly" reminds her of this whole moment. First-rate song titling right there, unlike a lot of other songs who simply pick out key words from the chorus.

I don't know how this ain't clearer... Just take your time wherever you go
The rain is fallin' on my window pane
But we are hidin' in a safer place
Under covers stayin' dry and warm
You give me feelings that I adore
It starts in my toes, make me crinkle my nose
Wherever it goes I always know
That you make me smile, please, stay for a while now
Just take your time wherever you go
But what am I gonna say?
When you make me feel this way
I just, mmm
And it starts in my toes, makes me crinkle my nose
Wherever it goes I always know
That you make me smile, please, stay for a while now
Just take your time wherever you go
I've been asleep for a while now
You tucked me in just like a child now
'Cause every time you hold me in your arms
I'm comfortable enough to feel your warmth
It starts in my soul, and I lose all control
When you kiss my nose, the feelin' shows
'Cause you make me smile, baby, just take your time now
Holdin' me tight
Wherever, wherever, wherever you go
Wherever, wherever, wherever you go
Wherever you go I always know
'Cause you make me smile, even just for a while

Random Account I’m guessing you wrote that because you’re still in high school.... high school should be one of the most fun times of your life I don’t see what you mean it gets worse when you’re older... I’m going into my junior year and I feel like high schools going way too fast
Random Account ikr ahh life 😫
Yes
May i wish you good luck with everything. I am also in that phase. But you are going to be okay. Life also has its beauties.
my sister said it gets better so she lied?
I can’t with the nostalgia right now I’m literally crying help

Never realized how it was. Heard it first in a Walgreens like 3 years ago

This shit is always a banger in the dentists office
Spot on. I don't think I've ever heard this song in a place that wasn't a grocery store, restaurant, or dentist office.
I was 11 when I heard this and it always brings me back to when times were simpler, I could almost cry. I'm 24 now
I feel that some songs always tend to do this when we are going through it. 😏
Exactly and when I listen to FERGIE BIG GIRLS DONT CRY !
Me too im 24 now ❤️
Me too! I'm 17 and I was 5 when I used to listen to this song. Heard of it the first time in a Soap Opera
Same 😢❤️
I FORGOT THIS SONG EXISTED OMG it's got me feeling like a child now
Let’s face it, RUclips is the closest thing to time machine. 🖤
Astute, and then some.
This is a very underrated comment. RUclips provides means of recieving joy, sadness, nostalgia and so many more emotions

Eclipse of the heart
Can’t let homies know I still fw this
😂
She has such a comforting voice, this song is so simple and sweet with a touch of romance and pep haha so nostalgic can’t believe this was released like 12 years ago and I still love it just as much
Couldn’t have said it any better . A great song to listen to with your girlfriend just relaxing in this great Texas weather .
Yes, but still it is popular . I do love all the songs sung by her.
Well, where are you from dear ?
It came out 15 years ago, in 2007. The video was uploaded to RUclips 12 years ago.
:) xo
Beautiful message.

I hope your life is great now! God bless you. Stay strong.
+ Tyson Hardy... Thank you. Been through alot, but I think am doing fine now
+cleon glasgow I think you should learn a music instrument and get into music and put your message out there making money with such albums.
Took me back to 2009 when i was a student in Australia. All those memories came flashing back. Miss OZ so much 😢
I remember sitting in the back of my moms car holding my angry bird stuffed animal when I was seven, damn time flies, I wish I could go back to when the days were simple
Big boi Seagle yo wtf literally same that’s crazy
OutRanger fr dang that’s crazy, them days were the good ones and I didn’t have any idea that those days would be the best time of my life
Come on, hang out with people. There is a lot to explore. Good luck!

The time when music was pure and soft. The time when you know that only guitar and your voice was enough to make a music video. I love this era.
2007 was a good year for colbie callet

2007 was also a great year for me because I remember raining everyday all summer and watching some random Sonic videos on my brothers computer. That's also the where I started middle school. So yeah I had a great childhood back then.
I watched this video on a video channel that doesn't exist anymore. I also had a good childhood
+MetalX4473 same with me. 2006 2007 and 2008 were good yrs for music. or is it just me being nostalgic?
I haven’t heard this song in 10 years and I just randomly thought of it today.
I got to know about this song from a very old video of nigahiga (a famous youtuber)which i recently watched for first time.....i loved this song amd came here.....i don't know y but it touched me and even though i heard it for first time recently i feel nostalgia......i dont know y

myspace was a thing when this song came out lol.
Fr man I was born in 05 but this is what I grew up on
So true😊
There was a whole era for a few years of these kinds of songs.

Lyric :
Will you count me in?
I've been awake for a while now
You've got me feelin' like a child now
'Cause every time I see your bubbly face
I get the tingles in a silly place
It starts in my toes and I crinkle my nose
Where ever it goes I always know
That you make me smile, please, stay for a while now
Just take your time wherever you go
The rain is fallin' on my window pane
But we are hidin' in a safer place
Under covers stayin' dry and warm
You give me feelings that I adore
They start in my toes, make me crinkle my nose
Wherever it goes, I always know
That you make me smile, please, stay for a while now
Just take your time wherever you go
But what am I gonna say?
When you make me feel this way
I just, mmmh
And it starts in my toes, makes me crinkle my nose
Wherever it goes I always know
That you make me smile, please, stay for a while now
Just take your time wherever you go
I've been asleep for a while now
You tucked me in just like a child now
'Cause every time you hold me in your arms
I'm comfortable enough to feel your warmth
It starts in my soul, and I lose all control
When you kiss my nose, the feelin' shows
'Cause you make me smile, baby, just take your time now
Holdin' me tight
Wherever, wherever, wherever you go
Wherever, wherever, wherever you go
Wherever you go, I always know
'Cause you make me smile, even just for a while
♥️♥️♥️♥️

@@ro8068 Because the word "bubbly" reminds her of this whole moment. First-rate song titling right there, unlike a lot of other songs who simply pick out key words from the chorus.
