    The way you talk its amazing.. I love your presentation style... Please talk about Firebase Database how we can work with that because we are familiar with RDBMS specially I am... so I m not able to think in NoSQL database style

    Hi Hitesh,
    I think you missed one thing in the start that there were two type of database exists before NoSQL called MultiValue database system.
    UniData database is a multivalue databse that was developed around 50 years ago.

      Yes. IBM's hierarchical and network databases are several decades old. They were the forerunner for the relational databases which in turn were the forerunner for the NoSQL databases. Rightly said, @Shabaz Khan. Great video, Hitesh. Keep them coming.

  • @lhirsch1

    Everything old is new again! I've been working with/programming databases for almost forty years and I've never used an "SQL database" outside of Computer Science graduate school where I studied databases and query optimization in the mid 1980s. CODASYL/Network, Hierarchical, Flat File, CSV, COBOL from the old days and now XML and JSON which I think are great. Every application is different and the data storage format should be considered individually according to the requirements of the application.

    Hello Hitesh, hope you are safe and doing good.
    Have a technical question in mind, thought you will be the right person to reach out to. I didn't know how to reach you and hence asking you here. Thanks a lot for your reply in advance.
    Question:
    Can a database table structure be with 2 columns,
    1. Record Id ( which is the unique reference to identify a record)
    2. XML file ( the entire data of the record is stored in XML file instead of storing in multiple columns)
    If possible what is the advantage over multi columns table structure ? usually RDBMS has multiple columns.

    I hit a roadblock when I was using firebase recently, regarding giving different levels of access to multiple users, I think it is easy to program with relational databases because the permissions for users are done behind the scenes using sql queries for different tables, but in firebase you have to maintain it upfront .. I guess

    Can anyone explain ( video time 3:38 ), first he is saying in no sql we focus on schema, and on the other hand on no sql ( video time 4:14) data is stored on free form format ?
    My question is in both expressions is he talking about only on database which is no sql or one of them (either schema or free form format) is about relational database ?

    Hello sir ! It was an amazing video. I would like to ask few things here. I am working on a social media application in which MongoDB has to be used . I have gone through the MongoDB documentation and now I have clear understanding of MongoDB queries like insert , update , find etc. But I am not clear that how Document Database model should be design. I would like to request you please make a video on Design of Document database. What should be constraints there like should we consider redundancy , relation among collections etc just like Relational model or should ignore these things & design our model freely. Thank you in advance

    I'm really afraid by people's comments about noSQL
    When I started to become learn become web developer and I found I should go with MEAN stack
    And I'm really getting fun and easy to learn with this
    But now people is telling that you should not avoid SQL
    That's makes me little worried
    But what should I do sir?
    I'm really very new in this field
    And I have no idea about this things
    And thanks for the video, I just learnt about more noSQL

    • @rabindrajoshi9258
      @rabindrajoshi9258 6 лет назад

      SQL came half-century back. Things have changed but it's not going anywhere anytime soon. Normalization focused on minimizing the database size because storage was expensive. These days we focus on performance and user experience. Database Joins can take time and hit on user experience. Scalability is definitely a major issue with SQL.

    • @sam_patrik
      @sam_patrik 6 лет назад

      Rabindra Joshi then what should i do?

    • @rabindrajoshi9258
      @rabindrajoshi9258 6 лет назад

      Learn SQL.
      The concept of normalized forms is not very practical, but you'll still be using the primary & foreign key, and constraints frequently. Why are you against learning SQL, btw? You have to write schema, just like noSQL, but before creating table. Use of multiple tables is popular, like documents in NoSQL. Same people who used to use SQL had to switch to NoSQL so it's definitely not very different.

    • @sam_patrik
      @sam_patrik 6 лет назад +1

      Rabindra Joshi yes, I think I should learn SQL without getting any tension about it
      Actually , now I am having a course on udemy.com for web development
      It's now about to complete
      Then I will start to study SQL too
      Thank you so much
