From my understanding, the clay is special from a specific area. The pot is burnished on the outside, which is why is has that lovely smooth sheen, but after firing they are not glazed at all. They do not need to be. When you first get one, you are supposed to "season" it (there is a boiling in water method), and then after that you only use it for a specific type of tea, or one similar group of tea types, because the tea pot starts to absorb aromas and aspects of a tea each time it is used. This enhances the flavour.
A work of Art! Well done!
Magnifique 👏👏👏
How does this type of work call? Is it fully handmade or a half handmade?
Just one question: are these pieces cooked in the oven or are they delivered raw? Don't they even go through enameling or firing?
