These two have got the chemistry between them. I just looked at the viewing figures compared to other similar shows. Miles ahead of anything else I could find anyway.
I count down the days every week to this, easily the best ante post show around (and I wasn’t a regular viewer of this show last season) Johnny is brilliant but David just knows it and the way he hosts effortlessly and poses the questions to Johnny is just as good
Respect Johnny for putting the Stayers Hurdle in his 3 races he would keep. It is such a good race, always competitive and my personal favourite of the week. I think sometimes it doesn’t get the credit it deserves but one think it guarantees year in and year out is a proper race full of stamina. Such a competitive race and I will always love it.
Good to hear Johnny giving some Kudos to Lydia Hislop for asking the difficult questions. Especially today where Henderson was having a dig without having the minerals to use her name.
I think this is potentially one of the most exciting Festivals for many years in front of us. IMHO, Cont Hill and Galopin could just be special horses. And we have had a few shorties turn into very competitve races(Arkle and Champ Chase). Honey going for the Mares looks a cracking race too!

My guess is 1) Calico will turn out to be horse that has progressed and no longer a 130 horse. 2) two/three runner races can be strange. 3) Aidan C was not expecting Calico to put the foot down and go for home, so Aidan got caught cold and just took time to rev up. 4) at the business end, Jonbon won by lengths. 5) that scare will have done Aidan the world if good. 6) lessons are learnt, still the one to beat...
I know Jonny will completely disagree with this and say he cannot be trusted, but after todays monster performance surely there could be a worse ante-post bet than Shishkin to do a King George-Gold Cup double for next season? He looked like he could go round again today and definitely wasn’t stopping at the line, and I’m not sure Henderson will be able to resist a 3m+ campaign next season. If the breathing op has sorted out his issues he surely has the raw class and pure ability to win both those races. Cheers lads, great show, Mark
Calm down!! Jonbon was likely half cooked and it was a ting tong 2 runner race...he still powered clear when push came to shove.
