Amazing. Made the same time as The Green Mile was set.

This was not entertainment!! It was real, and close to life. Lessons could be learned from it, as the creators of this movie obviously intended. Men in prison, who still acted with compassion, and empathy, toward their fellow prisoners. They were still human, even in their hour of trial. Many monsters walking around the streets today, may look human, but inside, due to drugs and the Satanic media, they are such ravening wolves that one couldn't possibly imagine the evil inside of them. The prisoners in this movie, stand like princes above them. The warden, also, was an inspiring example of men who took full responsibility for their own actions. There used to be many of them in this country about 50 to 60 years ago.

Nobility, yes, in these fictional characters, but what put them there? Did one slaughter a family? Rape and murder a child? Shoot fatally into a crowd? As touching as this portrayal is, in real life, the death penalty sometimes is warranted.

I remember seeing a scene from this movie pop up 13:02 between songs at a RUSH Concert for the intro of the song Lock And Key on the Hold Your Fire Tour 1987
