two words: superman lives! get well everyone and god bless. and happy thanksgiving! i am so impressed with what you're doing. i grew up with a dad that did EVERYTHING. he had no sons and i, the oldest daughter, learned everything in the house from my mom, and everything outside the house with my dad. my favorite project was building a camper for his truck. 'manny moe and jack'' was my favorite store! :) i grew up in socal. so now at 75 i love sitting back and watching you guys. the mrs is a true role model for females!
Glad you’re feeling better Jacob, sorry to hear about Natalie’s coming down with it now. Our prayers go out for Natalie and your entire family as you all move right along in your build.
I sniffled and coughed my way through the video today. This virus, strep, and lung congestion thing is passing around in late fall. I applaud both of you for pushing on through the framing. I suggest this, {as best as you can}, [old lady advice], change out the toothbrushes, change the bed linens, change the pillowcases every day, run some bleach in the toilet and sink often, eat oranges, use powder borax in hot water washing. These things helped keep the virus from spreading with a large household. I know it is hard and a pain, but it helps. I am in awe of how much you two do to care for 4 children and multiple animals and have time & energy to build and build and build. You are living a dream come true. Jacob, take care of yourself because that family needs your strength & leadership. Natalie, rest and don't worry about the small stuff. You have a gift of happy children. That is a joy.
Jacob & Natalie you are an inspiration for us all. I look forward each week for your videos. Natalie hopefully you are feeling better. Jacob that was a strain lifting that wall. Have a great week and recover. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🫡
Get well, Natalie, you were in my prayers🙏🏾. Jacob I’m sure when Natalie added it this video she was very upset when she saw you trying to stand up that wall by yourself please don’t do that again. You could’ve really hurt yourself permanently. The house will wait both of you need to rest up and get back to 100% and then continue. Blessing to you and your amazing family.🙏🏾😍
Loved watching this episode on the big screen, prayers for Nat, feel better soon...its going around, your house looks great!..You are a HEMAN!!!..it worked so much better having your helper there...and to stand up the wall by yourself!!! hulk has nothing on you....great job on the house guys!!! thanks for sharing
I know why you turned off the Beep Beep on the forklift, it's so there won't be any coyotes coming in thinking there's a road runner in the house to eat 😋 Good continuation, good weather and good health recovery🌞
Hi Natalie and Jacob, sorry to hear about that strep infection affecting you. That darned disease nearly killed me when I was young as it triggered autoimmune responses that got my lungs and kidneys, it took months to recover but no lasting problems as the good Lord held me through. You both need to rest and recuperate, the building, despite weather pressures can wait. On the lifting alone: when in my 20’s I built my home and did a lot of that without help. I used blocks and tackle, ropes any lever fulcrum set up I could cobble together as I had a weak back since mid teens. I used lots of different clamps as the extra set of hands along with a variety of wooden wedges and blocks. Your point of danger for your back was when you, overreached with all the weight above you, I certainly saw that struggle so please take care. I have been following your build with enthusiasm as it is triggering lots of enjoyable memories for me. Thank you for sharing and please take care.
Brilliant video and fantastic workmanship. I cant believe you Lifted that wall I was on the edge of my seat saying "come on lift" I thought it was going to fall.
Yes, you folks are making great progress on your home. Soon you will be installing the roof decking. I pray Natalie recovers real soon so she can return to the framing. Blessing to all of you.
working by self you should have started with the angle braces so you had drag help to allow you to have safety and support to keep from hurting yourself. you had used them after to support with the family helping. if yours screws and 2X 4 to give you some safety . all in all a great job
I really do appreciate you all trying to do all that you can to get all dried in. But try to rest when you need to . Your health is so important. We all want your family to enjoy your fresh air and each other. I so enjoy your family videos. Love from my family to yours.
Get well Natalie and Jacob I was a little worried when you were raising that wall by yourself but you did it job well done great video and everyone stay healthy
Yes you guys are certainly moving right along, that’s because you work smarter not harder. I really like that you got that lift, will it go as high as your roof will be? I cannot believe you got that wall up by yourself! Hope you don’t wear your body down doing things like that and end up sick again. Sorry you’re all getting sick, hoping it’s short lived for all of you. 😥❤️
Wow, great job, its coming along so nice. Love the layout. Jacob you are an animal, thank goodness that wall didn't get the better of you. Natalie I pray you get well soon. Moms are the engine that keep the family on the tracks along with being a partner in the build. Stay Safe!
You were taking a risk lifting that wall alone but you are building a home for your family but some risk are not worth it my friend. you are doing a tremendous job with family support
Straining? Me, too. I felt the urge to reach into the monitor and help, but alas, I could only give well wishes. Speaking of which, I wish Natalie a speedy recovery.
I know this was recorded way before I watched it but I was yelling out.... "Come on man, you got this!" over and over. I wish I had the PTO to come up with my brother and help you guys for a week.
Oh my goodness Jacob you stressed me out!!! 😂 I was straining to lift that wall with you!! 😂 You did a great job. Get well soon Natalie! You all take care.
I have a suggestion; as you are framing it will get cold soon. Build a false front to the un-built portion for this winter, finish the back half, close it in and then you can get some rough in, done Dry.
Hi peeps.. Making more great progress. That lift is earning it's keep. Awww.. bummer your bride now has that bug. Hops she recovers soon. Wow.. That 13' wall you mangaged to raise by youraelf.. You just earned the new SUPERMAN badge. Very clever to use the lift and those straps.. Oh.. LOVE LOVE LOVE the HYPER\SEMI-AUTO NAILGUN. Loved the unintentional full moon shots too.
Just to let you know, I had my fingers on the computer screen holding that 13 footer while you was catching your breath!!!! Good job! Please don't do that again.
Man! You only have one back and over straining it is not good. I'm 77.5 yrs old, I know the pain and wished I had thought out better methods. Tarp straps and block and tackle could have raised that wall with backing up scissor lift. I know enough lip, just be careful; family needs you tomorrow also.
I worker on mackines and wend you made the program there was most of the time things needed to be changed Same with your prints some times you can't see the real world on paper
I’ve never strained so hard while sitting in a chair while mentally trying to help lift a wall in my entire life!!! 🎉🎉🎉. 👏
😅 Sorry about that.
@ It was worth it. Glad “we” were able to get it done. 🤣
@@clintcetti I kept grunting myself and I was talking out loud saying he’s not going to make it, maybe he will make it.When he made it I clapped.😊

The platform on the lift goes up to 19 feet, and the ceiling will be around 25 feet at the peak. It's just big enough to get the job done. Thanks 🙂

Jacob, I think the 10" measurement you pointed out to us was meant to be 1'-0". If you substitute that for 10" the opening is centered
We would call them shiners! Nicely done, you all are doing a great job.
Dam... you are related to Chuck Norris! ;; ))
I think I got a hernia watching you lift that wall. I need workman's comp now! LOL

Hangnails = Shiners
What's with the cotton
You need help, everyone is sick, you can't do it alone
If it helps, think about how much money you're saving on a gym membership.
Good job getting the wall up don't do that again
Levantar esse peso todo sozinho foi uma atitude muito perigosa. CUIDADO .
You’re a bull my brotha😅
