I like your video. Very neat presentation, especially for people who have no idea of what's going on these few days. Hopefully, when everything is completed, Changi branch line will improve on the headway it currently has due to track usage limitations.
Appreciate the feedback! I am glad you found the video helpful. :) Once the new platform is ready, the Changi branch line will have 2 tracks, allowing for a higher frequency of trains
Yes, Tanah Merah station is currently undergoing upgrading to have 4 platforms in the future (2 platforms serving the EWL Pasir Ris - Tuas Link and 2 platforms to be converted into TEL to connect to Changi Airport, the new Terminal 5 and all the way to Woodlands North
@@christopheryongmenglee7569 To facilitate track connections to newly built East Coast Integrated Depot, there is a need to have a few days of closure to allow the new tracks to join to the existing tracks
@@christopheryongmenglee7569 Thank you for informing me. I will not be in Singapore next Tuesday, guess I have to miss the opening of the Punggol Coast station
In the future, when Changi Airport Terminal 5 is completed, it will be linked to the Thomson-East Coast Line (TEL) MRT line. The TEL connects all the way to Woodlands North and the RTS Link. However, I will still prefer taking bus 858 as its route is shorter compared to the TEL
Thank you very much! With the new platform, there will be 4 platforms at Tanah Merah station. 2 platforms to serve the EWL and 2 platforms to serve TEL. The long term plan will be for TEL to be extended to the new Changi Airport T5 and the existing Changi Airport and Expo stations as well as two platforms at Tanah Merah station will be converted to TEL.
@@Ohnaurr-z6c I would think TEL5 will be from Bayshore to Bedok South to Sungei Bedok. Likely TEL6 should be the extension to Changi Airport T5 in the future

the air from expo and planes aligned using expo helps those flying things during bad weather.
Thanks for the info! I didn't know that. Expo is a major landmark at changi and planes can easily spot it from the sky
SG Yap So When Is New Platform At Tanah Merah Opening?
Looks like no train from Changi to JB?
Have to take bus 858 to Kranji ?
