Jacob talking about his dyslexia and understanding his brain is amazing. He isn’t upset about it and he found out what he is good at. He has grown up so much. He can be a great advocate for children with dyslexia who are having a hard time accepting it.
I am 52, I hv dyslexia too. I love this positive message. We are great at so much..I’m so grateful for this channel, amazing, wonderful people who bring awareness and kindness to all…..

@@Codyiscool28 children of Parker's age are naturally self-centered. For him to show an ability to experience joy from someone else with no gain for himself does show a level of maturity. Doesn't mean he doesn't still act like a child in other ways, but that is a skill that takes time to develop and usually kids his age haven't mastered it yet. Mature in this case is an appropriate word

In case you didn’t know, all of the glass breaking sounds come when a present is dropped, thrown or something falls (such as one of Jessica’s shoes falling off of Luke’s foot before Jacob opened his ornament).
As a viewer who is hard of hearing, I LOVE that all of their videos are closed captioned so if I don’t/can’t hear or understand something I can still know what was said because of the captions.

These kids are the most selfless, kind and giving kids I’ve ever seen. When Parker said his present is their happiness? And Bailey sponsoring a child! They’re a testament to your guy’s’ parenting and it’s truly a joy to watch children on RUclips who are actually grateful and kind

Yes I agree, he is just so pure and sweet! It was so adorable how he was so extremely excited that he was shaking all over! My daughter used to hold her hands up and shake (without knowing she was doing so) anytime she was overly excited. You can tell he was over joyed at getting bubbles, then when his dad opened them and started filling the room with bubbles he couldn’t help but shake and Squeal! Luke is adorable and so precious plus he’s doing soooo much better with his speech! I’m so proud of his growth this year! 🥰

Parker’s love language is most definitely giving gifts. All the kids are so thoughtful and happy with giving gifts! Makes my heart happy!

I have never in my life seen more well-mannered, selfless, and appreciative children. They’ve all grown, and will continue to grow, into amazing individuals. You two are doing a spectacular job. Seriously, I’m just blown away. Watching this is like a breath of fresh air. I can only hope I will be as good of a parent one day.

I used the pictures on gifts this year & didn't even explain it to my 2 yo. She just started grabbing the gifts & passing them out to the people on them!! Thanks for this idea 😊
When Duncan threw Luke’s present at 32:14 and there was a sound like glass shattering I got so surprised and I actually thought it real glass instead of an edit. lol 😆 😆 😆

I love that this gives off the home video energy. A lot of other youtubers would post overly edited videos whenever it's something special like a birthday or in this case a christmas video but this one is so real and authentic.

Don’t judge others videos. They have their reasons. It’s a lot of work to edit I imagine and parents are busy and want to enjoy the holidays with their kids and not always film it

I love the way they do gifts! we often forget that kids don’t need expensive tablets phones etc. seeing kids get normal kid things is so refreshing and I can tell they’re gonna be such kind and smart adults one day !

Just had to rewind and rewatch Lukes excitement over popping bubbles, it’s those moments that make Christmas feel special and remind you that it doesn’t take lots of money or fancy presents to really bring joy to a child, the pure joy on Lukes face was so heartwarming 🥰

I really appreciate Jacob talking about his dyslexia. As someone who has it, it makes me happy seeing a young kid find what he’s good at it and excel at it. Unfortunately, my brain seems to be pretty bad at everything, but I’m glad Jacob has found what he’s good at and it gives me hope that some day I will find something my brain understands too.
This kiddo jacob is talented in so many ways....i swear he has cooked more dishes and baked more than i have ever in my life and im an adult. 😆

Oh, how happy these kiddos are making me. Every time I hear them having their conversations, especially the bigger kids with Flynn, Duncan and Luke, I vatch myself smiling big at my screen. Seeing the whole family together warms my heart and heals me every time a little more. It makes me wish for one day having a big, warmhearted, kind family myself.
you are such strong mothers it just blows my mind. Colleen, having twins has got to be insane but they are so precious! Jessica you have so many kids there is no way I could handle it, your patients is un-measurable! Some of the best mothers in the world here.

One of the many things I love about your family is the ornament a year thing!
I’ve seen many people do trees with themes, toss out all of the previous decorations and just start fresh but that’s not at all how we like our tree decorated.
Our family Christmas tree is a living history of years prior- ornaments each have their own story or are random pieces I pick up at thrift stores and give a home to. But in the end, becomes a hodgepodge off of glorious uniqueness and it’s so fun to decorate and give the story of each one.

I love how you all (and especially the other kids) have a perfect balance between helping Luke when he needs it, but also letting him struggle a little and be independent.
I know if I was the older sibling, I would just "help" by doing it myself (impatient!) but you all are so incredibly patient it's amazing.
Of ALL the Christmas Open Gifts vlogs out there ,(I may have watched @25 ) The Ballinger Family is by far the MOST heartwarming ,Feel Good video of 2021. There's far too much to comment about .What is ENORMOUSLY exceptional is that each of your 6 children are SO uniquely, gifted, talented and special with very varied interests .Santa found time to really think of gifts that would bring happiness to each one. However, it was the overwhelming joy of giving to each other that seemed to be a central theme throughout that kept putting a smile on my face : ) Parker summed it up far better than I ever could. He hadn't received a gift yet for himself but scarcely noticed .He said he was just feeling happy about the joy of giving ( loosely translated ) How incredible as parents you must have felt to hear that. You have managed to teach and will continue to teach the youngest members that it's not about what you get but what you can give and even the smallest of gifts can be the largest treasure. Some sweet scenes I took away start off immediately with Luke loving his slide over and over BUT much later on in the video he literally shakes from excitement while Chris repeatedly blows bubbles for him. Duncan can be an introvert (at times) and has a heart of gold .I noticed he became obsessed by Bailey's thoughtful gift that she remembered he liked and seemed to continue to look through the book the entire time everyone else was opening gifts.Jacob and Parker have matured immensely and are incredibly responsible young men who look after their younger brothers so well,tenderly and patiently.Jacob's cooking interest is something that has stood out this year and Parker maintains his love of entertainment .Probably most amazing is how Luke ,despite being born missing an imperative cognitive chromosome, has grown and learned in two short years into such a bright little guy. The love that the entire family showers on him in addition to the constant positive reinforcements have brought him to the greatest potential to date . Bailey is simply exceptional .She is a rare whole package of beauty,grace,humility and intelligence. Beautiful inside and out,pure and simply lovely .Never mind her talent for singing . Teddy while only an infant is someone I know I will be watching grow in to his own as well. It will be a joy to see him develop !How amazing that each individual child is representative of SO MANY DIVERSE individual characteristics that had these NOT been NURTURED would go unnoticed. Anyone watching this family can see the best possible version of themselves in all the children.I can't possibly describe how incredible Christopher and Jessica are at parenting these 6 young lives. This would be difficult for the best of us and yet they take it all in stride. They are amazing. MUCH LOVE in this family .Even Rue is prioritized and her best interests are taken in to consideration!! One last thing,the old saying "Apples don't fall far from the tree " is appropriate here . Christopher's parents are exceptional and often the entire family can be watched on this channel or Colleen Ballinger's You Tube channel. Toward the end of the video this family is over at Colleen's house and HER son is also shaking with excitement when giving a gift to his cousin Jacob. The siblings have two things in common , their parents . . .and so what they learned they are now passing down to the next generation . So I applaud Grandma and Grandpa as well. Many blessings to this outstanding family in 2022 .Keep bringing the "Feel Good "
