Hey Doc, I love your videos. I've been a subscriber for years now. You have helped me become the neighborhood "Lawn Guy". Thank you for all your information over the years. I drove past your beach house on Thursday. I was impressed with how good the lawn looked. I knew it would be a little neglected because you've not been down in a while. What I saw 2 days ago was after you spent a lot of time on it since arriving. It really looks great in such a short time. I wish I had seen you out in the yard to say hello. Maybe someday. Thank you for what you do, and keep up the great content.

Hey Doc, there is an old boxer trick which might be able to help you
Take a white washcloth with vinegar and heat it on the stove top
Then place the washcloth around your neck
    Repeat
This should help and loosen up the muscles, etc.
Also, there’s exercises you can do standup straight bare feet shoulder straight
Straighten your neck and head straight
Bring your chin down to your chest slowly
    Bring it back up
Keep your neck straight turn your neck to the left slowly
Then turn your neck to the right slowly
Then bring your chin down to your chest you feel a little pull
Do this gently repeat at least 3x
This releases the nerve from the muscles
And put on the white cloth with vinegar heated
    Feel better
When you see the boxers ending the rink with the white wash clothes wrapped around their hands that’s what they’re doing. They’re soaking their hands in the heated vinegar.

And it’s taking off now.

Very annoying. Didn’t realize how many problems I would have with zoysia, mostly due to the fact it too slow to heal. Bermuda is so much better. Plus we have common bermuda all over where I live, so might as well embrace it.

DOC is probably too busy to answer this… but, I can’t “level” my lawn. It’s about 2 acres of rolling hill with a pond in the middle. So how do I “smooth” it? Wait for drought season and then use sand? I just don’t want everything to wash into the pond…

Hello Doc. New here. What's DGL?? I have a combination of st Augustine and Bermuda. A few years back I was trying to get the Bermuda to thrive, but I have to many shady spots in my lawn so It wouldn't thrive there. Weeds would just take over. So I converted most of my lawn with St. Augustine, and it's doing a lot better.

Doc I'll take a shot that you'll answer this. In the first part of the video you mention your neighbors St augustine runners growing into your zoysia. Did you address this or do you know of a herbicide that will kill the St augustine and not harm the zoysia. I have neighbors on both sides that have S.t augustine. Great video hope the cervical issues are behind you.

I have fungal problems going on all the way around our new lawn that we are trying to spoonfeed. My question is this, can we spray fungicide in the morning knowing that we are going to have rain later in the day? There doesn’t appear to be a dry spot anywhere to be able to treat but the fungus is getting worse and worse. I have Anderson‘s granular and also a spectra side spray fungicide that I can use. Help!😢

Hey Doc, I had a herniated disc at C5/C6 giving me the same problems in 1995. Finally had the disc removed and C5/C6 fused with cadaver bone. I have had no problems since and I have full range of motion in my neck. Don't wait too long to get it fixed. If that nerve gets damaged, you could lose the use of your arm. Good luck!. BTW, we moved into a new house in Dec of 2022. New sod was laid on April 1 of 2023. I kept it wet the rest of the drought year of 2023 and hit it with 40# of Humichar per month until November. My yard is lush and beautiful. Continuing with Humichar monthly this year.
