Excellent video Sir! One of the things that took me forever to figure out was tuning around on a Monday...nothing. Tuning around with a bit of free time on a Tuesday...nothing. What people say must be true "the bands are dead". Wednesday afternoon maybe taking a break...nothing. And then one day it hit me. The bands are never dead on the weekends. Don't listen to people telling you how bad the band is on the weekend. That's just an excuse that they really don't want to admit they may need a better antenna. Don't get discouraged Monday through Friday when people are at work and busy with "life". Thanks again for your videos! Now I have to go chase British Columbia and Vermont (QSO Party) with some QRP fun. 73

Thanks for the feedback, and for watching! I am about to get started with some QRP... it's something I've never done. I find that with age comes patience, and I think I am about ready to be patient enough for QRP. Maybe do some POTA QRP. Have a great day, and good luck. 73

@@K5ATA You already understand the number one most important thing with QRP.. patience. It is so rewarding each weekend I will trade my entire logbook for those 3 or 4 contacts. You'll love it!

I have my tech and find it difficult to make contact on any of the local repeaters. I want to try my hand at CW so I’m learning Morse code for the first time at the moment. QRP seems fun. Anyways, I guess my ultimate goal is to find the best way to communicate and make contacts without the use of repeaters at the tech license level. Your channel is seriously the best I’ve found so far. You explain everything so clearly and you are easy to understand. Thank you!

Thanks for that! You have some options for what you can do as a technician. I did a video on some of your options here: ruclips.net/video/LeJuHac5U64/видео.html Feel free to reach out if you need any help! 73

Thank you for the explanation of all the RF bands, to the equipment needed to operated the different bands. This has helped align all my learning as I prepare to take my technician license.

Loving your video series for beginner hams. My only complaint is the intro where the cw happens is way louder than your mic you are on. So I have to turn down volume for the cw then turn up volume to hear you. There are programs like a levelator that Once you have the complete video you run and it levels out all the audio so that the loud isnt so loud and the quiet isnt so quiet LOL :) Hope that makes sense. It tries to level everything out so there arent any peaks or lows in the volume. Otherwise loving the videos keep up the good work, :)

Thanks for the feedback. Hmm.. I level it all out in iMovie, I'm not sure why it is doing that. When playing the raw file it is leveled. I will look into it. Thanks for watching, and enjoy the series. Several are posting over the next couple of days. If there is something you'd like to see a video on, let me know, I'm happy to try to make one. Have a great day!
