Loved the second bread ham and cheese cones, however to make it lush I would have brushed each level with garlic butter, not sure about he bechemel sauce🙄

I think most of these recipes that call for cheese, bread, and/or ham were things use in dishes or even simple sandwiches when they were starting out a life on their own. Someone who longs to be a chef but isn't financially set would use cheaper, simpler things to cook with.
Kalte Béchamelsauce? Die gehört meiner Meinung nach mit in den Ofen.

Why serve a salad with these sandwiches? Doesn't that just get in the way of the meat n' cheese goodness?!

I had no idea what bechamel sauce was so I looked it up. I see. That's how I make sausage gravy but it would be without the sausage. I guess that makes sense then.
Ron Paynter Béchamel is the base for many sauces. You can use it as a starting point for a lot of sauces.
